I appreciated the staff so much at this resort. they were super welcoming from the reception to the waitresses to the cleaning people to the taxi guys. they also acknowledged our toddlers over and over making them feel so welcomed. The room was superb! it had a bunk bed for the kids with an extra pull out bed and a nice balcony overlooking the pool. the beach was close, the animals around the property made it fun for the kids, the food was decent (I’m from NYC so nothing really impresses me much with food), the water slides were fun for the kids and the hotel was fully accessible to navigate with a stroller.

there were a few minor things that could be improved such as the room door handle being very easy to open by a 3 yr old toddler. I suggest having a lock on top to prevent any toddlers from opening the door. the toilet had a smell that others pointed out too. it’s a bit of a septic smell. maybe have a candle or incense in there? the property is HUGE and while we enjoyed walking back from the beach to the water slides at the family location, the roads ok the property aren’t very pedestrian/friendly. There were several trucks, motorbikes and shuttle buses going by on the same road/walkway which made it a bit uneasy walking with 2 toddlers. I suggest having a separate walkway just for pedestrians? please.good night

Reception was horrible- and being received and dispatched at the hotel as horrrriiibbeeee I cannot emphasize how bad it was. As my family and I are from the Dominican Republic I experienced discrimination from the luggage staff at the front end.first impression of the hotel was very bad and rocky due to reception and luggage staff at the front end coming in and leaving. Also staff pressuring guest to assist meeting so they can receive their 50 is ridiculous!!!!!!

The staff are helpful and nice- they made my family, especially my baby, feel welcome. Room cleaning was every day- tips go a long way. I liked the variety of foods and drinks, and the fact that there's live music and a 24 hour bar. Mostly ate at the buffets Trapiche and Hispaniola, but also booked Il Tartufo (very good fettuccine) and Tanuki (fun teppanyaki show). Just make sure you book 24 hours in advance for restaurants! I loved the shuttle to the beach- they ran every 10 minutes and saved my baby and elder mother a lot of walking. Beach was well maintained - there wasn't too much seaweed. Plenty of pools to choose from with bars near each. They also gave the kids water toys in the room. My baby got a kick out of the kid pool with the slides! One standout was there were two staff that offered us fresh coconuts! One even bright it to our room! It was a nice gesture to experience.

Pools got quite warm during the heat of the day and was a bit uncomfortable to swim in. The shuttle got quite competitive during middle of the day when everyone is trying to go from the resort to the beach. People kept pushing and running to the shuttle when it was still moving. One time my mother was squeezed off when she was already on the shuttle. It helped that the shuttle came often and this was really not the fault of the resort, but just a frustrating thing to experience from other travelers there to vacation.

We loved almost everything there! The room exceeded our expectations, the facilities are excellent, the staff is pretty helpful, and the food and drinks are great, especially in the thematic restaurants.

If you aren't up to staying all the time in the resort, it might not be the better option since it's a little far away from everything. They could have more restrooms close to some pools, especially the main one. We didn't like the sushi bar (Wasabi) food, but it might be because we had high expectations for a sushi bar that isn't traditional Japanese.

We traveled as a large family. The staff were superfriendly. A special thanks to the manager who moved us to the two interconnecting rooms (with a door between them) in the middle of our stay. Cleanliness: great, towels changed twice a day. Large and beautiful territory to walk around, the kids especially loved the peacocks. A small aquapark for kids (one of the reasons we chose this hotel). The food was very good, a lot of delicious fruits.

A little bit too pricey. More trams are needed for the transfer to the beach and back.

The property is exceptionally beautiful and well maintained. We stayed 2 nights in kids club and 3 nights at beachfront. Kids club is amazing for families with kids but we wanted to be close to the beach so moved later and where super happy. There is also another pool and kids club near the beach. Rooms were updated and clean, everything was perfect. La carte restaurants require advance booking with online application, the guest service was very helpful to squeeze us in last minute. The food is good but the Christmas feast for a different level, that was a big celebration and you just name it, everything was there beautifully crafted.

Nothing about the property, ppl are working super hard from early morning to keep everything clean. The only thing I would recommend to replace the service trucks by electric cars to avoid the fuel smells in the beautiful resort.

Very clean. Grounds very well kept. Loved the little mangrove area and the animals: ducks, flamingos, egrets, peacocks, turtles... Large variety of food on the buffets. Loved the fresh fruits: mangoes, passion fruits, pinneaples, Easy access to restaurants with different cuisines on site for diner. The extensive choices at the bars. Friendliness of the staff. Loved the "quiet" pool.

Long wait at the reception. Had preregistered on line with scan of passeports as requested, got a QR code that was supposed to ease arrival. All for nothing... Receptionnist did the whole process again. Not enough information given at reception when you come on your own and not with a travel agent. Not enough information provided on the activities on site during the stay. For example, there was an event two days in a row at the resort, some kind of modeling shows. No announcement about it, no information provided about what it was or the time table. Just bumped into it because it was in the maincourtyard by the restaurants...

Beautiful resort! We will definitely visit again. The rooms were clean and set up very nice upon entry they have gifts in the rooms for you (slippers, tote bag, beach supplies for the kids) The staff was also very kind and the food was good & authentic.

The location of our room was a long distance walk but we managed to find a short cut thanks to one of the staff lol. Put DND sign on door but cleaner came in anyhow and did not put back the towels when they took them out.

The property was beautiful, rooms, restaurants, etc were all nice and clean. Hispaniola Buffet employee Freddie was AMAZING there was nothing he wouldn’t do for guests. Beach was great maybe a few more beach chairs would be helpful but it was awesome!

The activities were never consistent something always happened and they were cancelled. Also the evening show I felt was a little late for children who were at the beach all day maybe they should start a little earlier. Also we don’t speak Spanish so our kids were never offered. at kids activities.

The staff was amazing! Franklin was especially great and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Was very difficult to get chairs at pool or beach because people leave towels and go back to their room. Borys at Cappucino Cafe was rude to me and I witnessed him be rude to other guests as well. The restaraunts were excellent. The smell of the lobby in Wasbani/Teppanyaki was revolting.
