Very comfortable and big bed, the room had everything one needs, the stuff was very nice and helpful , and I also loved the very cuddly cat ☺️

The breakfast could improve a bit, especially the müsli/ cornflakes were a bit sad. I would also love a bit more than jam to put on the toast. (But this seems to be a problem that I encountered all over hostels in Ecuador.)

A really nice hotel well located in the center. The place is quiet and is a nice location to rest in Cuenca near the Cathedral, the artists street and floral marketl. The personal is kind, available and really helpful. Bars and restaurants are at walking distance. The breasfast is delicious. Our room was cosy and clean next to a bright resting area. You have everything to enjoy a good stay in Cuenca definitely a family place to stay

No major point. Just there are two lovely friendly cats. I'm allergic it has been a little issue once one came to say hi. Nothing to complain about the place

First off, the staff were all super helpful and booked a couple of day trips for me. They don't have a tourist agency there so the staff was able to find something for me cheaper than I could on my own. And the trips were great! Now, any review would be incomplete without a mention of Empanada. She is the best cat in Ecuador (undisputed) but also quite possibly the entirety of South America. I love her. Also the rooms are very clean and comfortable! But....Empanada. She is everything.

I didn't like that I couldn't catnap Empanada.

Nice place - not right in the centre but still it has a good position, We had a room at the front with a seating area and windows out on to the street. Slight trade off with street noise/Music from the shop opposite for the light and balcony but with the windows closed the noise was ok. Very helpful staff including Empanada the cat who was really in charge

Breakfast was ok but nothing exceptional

There was a good variety of foods for the breakfasts, fresh fruits, eggs, local Cuenca dish, breads and specialty rolls as well as granola and oats. Milk, yougert juice water and coffee. Staff were excellent and very friendly.

There was nothing that I would say I did not like. Very enjoyable stay

Everything was just wonderful! The staff, the rooms, the breakfast, the location - everything. They helped me with every question or inquiry I had, the breakfast was fresh with healthy choices and good coffee ;-) also, the hotel is completely plastic free, which I greatly admire and support. I already recommended the hotel today to some of my colleagues! They will book you the next time, when they are in Cuenca. Thank you again for everything!!!

We ended up in Cuenca for 5 nights because of the protests going on in the country and we loved every second of it. From start to finish everything was flawless. Clean and big room, with a great shower and comfy beds. Location is great, about 5 min walk to the main plaza and lots of restaurants are all in walking distance. City is beautiful and you can easily entertain yourself or end up in an awesome restaurant somewhere. Everything is within walking distance and otherwise the lovely staff will arrange a taxi for you. All of the staff are great, from the front desk employees to the kitchen staff and the owner. All of them speak english and will help you wherever they can, big or small. And I have to mention the cutest of the staff, the cats. Empanada is awesome, very social and if you pet her she will love you for it. If you don’t pet her she will leave you alone, which is good for people who don’t like cats. Pepe is beautiful although we didn’t see her that often. Lola doesn’t leave her room so we didn’t see her since she is a bit jumpy around people. 100% we would stay here again!

The location of the hotel is top - very central, yet quite quiet. The accommodation is nicely furnished, staff were exceptionally nice and helpful (had to deal with an upset stomach, the staff offered tea immediately and also enquired about us again the next day). The rooms were tastefully decorated, ours was at the back and quiet. But the whole place looks more like a (tasteful) hostel. The highlight was of course the two cats Empanada and Pepe!! :)

The room was quite dark and gloomy, seemed quite oppressive, although the room was nicely furnished and we also had one of the larger ones. There was little choice at breakfast and overall little to eat. Coffee, like everywhere in Ecuador, does not taste good ;)

Rely nice location on a quiet but accessible street close to park Caldron. The staff was amazing. The building is designed really nice with .ultiple seating g areas and the area for breakfast and snacks with the street view window was great. The were super accommodating with my vegan diet and so hpful. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The bed was very comfy as well. Clean and more updated bathroom with perfect water pressure AND hot water. I recommend the BB and would stay again.

There are a couple of things I like about this place or my experience during my stay at Pepe's House: The staff is always, always friendly, willing to answer any questions, willing to assist, they are great hosts. I also love the location of this B&B because is in Cuenca's City Center; in 5 minutes or less walking, you will find yourself at the main cathedral of the city and some of its main attractions. I also appreciate the breakfast included during my stay. I love, love the hot showers at Pepe's House; we never encounter any issues with the shower or water temperature.

I love animals but I have sensitivity to cats and dogs. Pepe's House has a beautiful cat that roams throughout the main lobby and other places in the B&B; except the rooms. For me was not easy to see pet hairs in the dining/breakfast seating area.
