The hotel is in a perfect location close to the Egyptian Museum. The staff was friendly and the room clean. The Hotel offer a free transfer from the airport and that is very important especially if you arrive in Cairo late in the night like me. A nice hotel to stay for 2-3 days.

The room was a little bit small and the mattresses were no so comfortable. The breakfast was very limited and totally not for a European tourist. The last day I asked for a transfer to go to the airport. I told them the driver should be at the hotel at 19.00. The driver finally arrived at the hotel at 19.35 because of the traffic and I almost lost my flight. The staff of the hotel tried to help me and they called him a lot of times but he totally was late and this is not acceptable for me especially if you have a flight to catch.

The staff was very friendly and kind! Also the rooms are new! You can’t see that in these photos, they should update them.

You definitely can’t sleep in the morning with the noise from the street. A small renovation on the windows will fix this issue.

The location is very central, so close to the Egyptian Museum. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. It had a fridge and kettle and plenty of surface space and sockets next to the bed. The bathroom was clean and there was always hot water. Hela was a delight, very warm and welcoming and we were glad to have met her. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh and plenty of it.

As everyone comments, the noise from the street is quite extreme. We were able to sleep, but the windows don't do much to block out the sound.

This is a GEM of an establishment. The staff (Hela, Mohamed, Noor and Heba and the rest of the team) are just the most amazing, kind, generous, helpful and stunning hospitality staff we have met on our trip. We loved this hotel, the rooms were great, nicely furnished, good bathrooms and comfortable. The one room on the third floor has the most Amazing view of the museum. From check in to departure we got nothing but genuine warmth, smiles, spoils and overall fantastic service. The breakfast is prepared, fresh everyday in front of you and there's just pure love from Ms. Heba in that plate of food, we enjoyed the quality and generosity in the servings. We cannot praise this establishment enough, it may not present the most exciting impression from the building outside but once you get to the second floor, you will walk into one of your best experiences in a hotel. This is fantastic value for money, you will not be disappointed, if in Cairo again, I will be booking here with no hesitation.

This is a great hotel: great location and price, minutes walk from convenience stores (including one with cold beer and a wide choice of other alcohol) - and the Egyptian Museum. The reception is staffed 24/7. The police are everywhere in the neighbourhood, couldn't be safer. The breakfast: cooked to order and plentiful and yummy. Everything in my room was new. The room featured a fridge, a very effective aircon, a window that actuallyopens (yipee), a very comfy bed and a walk- in shower. Couldn't ask for more ... ... but there was more: a fantastic local guide named Hala who, from what i gather, works with the hotel. Knowledgeable (my personal favourite: stories about Egyptian gods), chatty (in fluent English), wall-to-wall smile. In short: thoroughly recommended!

All good!

Staff was super friendly. We had a room with a balcony right in front of the Egyptian Museum where we had breakfast both days. Very nice view and it's also cool to sit and chill at night. Breakfast was OK. An omelette with falafel, vegetables, and some cheese. Again... staff is very nice and always willing to help!

Even though I got a message saying the check-in was at 12 (noon), the room wasn't ready until 2pm. It does specifies 2pm on the description of the Hostel, but I got the message saying 12 noon, so we arrived too early and had some time to kill before check-in. Honest mistake of course! The other downside is the entrance. It doesn't look pretty good, but once you're in your room it's a completely different story.

Look no farther - if you are a budget traveler, you’ve hit the JACKPOT! The place is centrally located. The rooms were sparkling clean! All of the front desk staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The non-English speaking staff were also full of smiles and welcome. Hella was exceptional as were Abdou and Mostafa. Hella is an actual gem, no matter what they pay her - they should give her a raise! The hostel can help you with tour bookings which are cheaper than booking through Trip Advisor or Viator.

The front entrance is dingy - don’t let it discourage you. The staircase is dingy as well, but once you are inside things are sparkling clean.

Fantastic location in downtown Cairo. Helpful and friendly staff especially Haela who had us dancing in reception within 5 mins of arriving. It felt really safe - there is 24hr reception and our room was fantastic with a corner balcony overlooking the Egyptian museum and the crazy road below. You can stay in the Carlton Ritz opposite for 10 times as much and your stay wouldn’t be any better! We had bed and breakfast - which was bought up to our room and eaten on the balcony. We were almost embarrassed to pay such a small price.

Nothing really except a bar would be good but it is a hostel so that is understandable…

Great and helpful team, especially Hela is such a lovely person. She did her very best for us to have a great time in Cairo and even cooked a traditional Egyptian dish for us at lunchtime. Thank you Hela and the whole team for this experience, we wouldn't have expect when staying in a hostel.

We were completely happy, but if there is something to improve then this: The street in front of the hostel is loud day and night. Windows could be better isolated against noise. No problem for us, but noise sensitive people may have problems with sleeping.
