Spacious, warm, quiet and clean room. Varied and good breakfast with a view. Parking the car is effortless. Everything worked and the service was uncomplicated

The 1933 restaurant could also offer local dishes such as lamb.

Nice hotel with a fantastic view and very nice breakfast (the smoked salmon was obviously a highlight). The beds were comfy and the soap provided in the rooms was very nice too.

We were aware of it, but what potential guests need to take into account, is that the hotel is slightly removed from the city. This is not a problem when arriving by car. But when arriving by coach, it can be a bit of a walk to get to.

Nice hotel with a good standard in terms of service and facilities. Nice view of Tórshavn and the bay.

We had to move rooms three times before getting one that was as you would expect at their price level. First room had construction outside the window that blocked the view. Second room smelled constantly like an old nursing home or soiled clothes even though we had the window open for extended periods of time. Third was good.

Brilliant views, great breakfast, nice walk down to the city, quite steep but still nice the hotel had a path! Large room, chrome cast built in with tv so can watch a film on your favourite steaming service should you want to. Window open had a lovely fresh breeze, Only stayed one night so cant comment on anything else. Coffee machine, mini fridge with free water was nice!

Paper thin pillows, maybe being from Britain we are in the minority with this, otherwise bed was really comfortable. Everyplace we stayed had the same type of pillow to be fair

This hotel is not only nice and cozy but also offers a beautiful view. With ample parking and proximity to the capital yet far enough to enjoy nature, it strikes the perfect balance. The food is delicious, and although we initially planned for just one night, after experiencing the comfort and fair pricing, we decided to make it our base for the entire trip. It's a gem that exceeded our expectations, making our stay even more memorable.

Costs for souvenirs like soap etc, way more cheaper at airport.

it’s a good location, not to far in the centre of the city but close enough to drive every day. comfy beds and clean bathrooms. a great view of the city although the fog sometimes covered it. helpful staff and good breakfast with a wide variety of food. big parking space

the window of our room didn’t close fully and there was always a crack letting wind in. it wasn’t a deal breaker for us but these things should be fixed. the Booking website advertised this as a “king size bed” but after the reservation the hotel informs that ALL beds are made up of 2 individual mattresses put together - false advertising here, not sure who to blame, the hotel or Booking.

Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Beautiful view over Torshavn (though not from the even-numbered Annex rooms…). Good gym facility and a good breakfast. Well located for getting on the road and out to explore the islands by car.

A bit pricy but that’s the Faroes for you! The “secret path” into downtown Torshavn is very useful but steep in places and dark on the way back — a shuttle to Steinatun would be nice though the distance is not too far. Small in-room fridge doesn’t really work to chill anything so keep that in mind if grocery shopping.

We loved the charm of the old hotel and found its facilities very satisfactory. Breakfast was fantastic and out dinners were amazing. Pickup by taxis and tour buses was very convenient. We will stay here again.

We found the path to downtown rather arduous and only tried it once. This was somewhat compensated for by the excellent view of the city and the harbour.

It's a 20 minute walk from the harbour and I suppose about the same time by car. View from the hotel is (therefor) great, so is the breakfast and recently the hotel has a superb restaurant ('Ruts') serving seafood and great vegetarian food. And the latter is rare on the Faroe Islands! Hotel is one of the older hotels but it's well kept. Only the bathroom shows slight signs of use. Stayed in this hotel a couple of times. First time was in 2015.

Stunnings views of Thorshavn from our bedroom. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. In a few words, this is a perfect place to stay in the Faroe Islands. Thank you very much
