Breakfast every day was great. Choice of cereal, toast, coffee, eggs, sausages, bacon and a fruit platter. I stayed here for 11 nights in April 2024. My plan was to use it as a base and do day trips and explore Nadi. There are nearby bars, restaurants for coffees, diners, beers etc. I spent a lot of time at Smugglers. Wailoaloa Beach is only a minutes walk away. The bus for day trips picks you up outside and drops you to Denarau Port to go to the islands day tripping. I recommend Malamala Island. Nadi is only 10 mins by taxi. Denarau 15 mins. Staff at Ideal were great. Very friendly and welcoming. Big thankyou to Sala, Emma, Knox ( breakfast cook ) for making me feel so welcomed. I would certainly stay again. Also banana smoothies at Ramada were excellent. Shop 2 mins walk for essentials and bike hire next to that.

No complaints. AC worked a treat and the bed was comfortable.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful the entire staff were. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a warm “welcome home” and treated as though I was part of their family. They went above and beyond to accommodate food preferences/allergies and even baked special gluten free bread for another guest. On Sunday we were treated to a special Sunday lunch which was a wonderful surprise. They took care of booking transportation for me to my next destination along with organizing day trips around Nadi. Overall, a very wonderful time at Ideal Bed & Breakfast and I would definitely stay there again!

The staff were nice. Big room. The shower rooms were big and REALLY clean. Facilities were a bit old but good. Lovely breakfast and afternoon tea.

There was enough space in my room if there were a table, chair and wardrobe, would be perfect. WiFi doesn't work in any rooms and the night even outside.

The room was simple but clean with plenty of space, a huge bed and reliable air conditioning. Traveling alone, I felt very safe at The Ideal with a lockable room. Shower and toilet facilities were kept fastidiously clean and the water pressure was faultless with plenty of hot water. The staff were honestly brilliant - they were always smiling and asked if things were okay and if they could do anything to make the stay more comfortable. Breakfast each morning was also fabulous - fresh fruit, cereal, coffee or tea followed by toast and eggs however you like them. The omelette was especially good! They served afternoon tea with homemade cakes and traditional sweet treats every day. On Sunday, they prepared a delicious lunch for guests from fresh, local ingredients. There's a grocery store only 150m down the road, and in the other direction, you have easy access to the beach and all the restaurants associated with the hotels. The Ideal is perfect for travellers who are out and about during the day but need somewhere comfortable and clean to spend the night. I felt it was excellent value for money!

We had the occasional power outage but this was no fault of the accommodation or staff. They would put out candles and incense to keep the mosquitos away. Just make sure to bring along a head torch! There was a comfortable terrace area where you can access the WiFi. If you need access to the internet in your room then I'd recommend getting a SIM card at the airport.

The location was handy, especially for day tours departing from Port Denarau, as they usually had a free pick-up service from just down the road at Ramada (1 minute walk away). There are plenty of other accommodations in the area, so plenty of restaurants to choose from. There's a small grocery store about 4 minute walk away, and across the road from that is a taxi stand. I stayed here twice, and the first time I had a single room, second time I was upgraded to a double. The basic rooms just include a bed, a bedside table and air con. The rooms are not soundproof, and conversations held in the common areas, and kitchen, could easily be heard. Not usually an issue unless there are super-loud guests. Breakfast in the mornings was such an added bonus. Fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal and toast were on offer, as well as tea & coffee. If I timed it right, I didn't even need lunch. The staff are amazing. Beautiful Emily with her big smile and attention to detail when servicing the rooms; Ty, the handyman who is born of fire, and my hero for relocating a spider I was uncomfortable with; Cheeky Nox, the chef, the doctor, the magician, the DJ and all round general entertainment coordinator; all led by the lovely Aunty Emma, who is intent on ensuring her guests are happy, comfortable and enjoy their stay. I was welcomed like part of the family, and I was very sad to say goodbye when I had to leave. What a fantastic team and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The property could use some big upgrades (such as ceiling fans in common areas) which I believe the team are working on. A bit more of a focus on organising day trips/tours for guests with reasonable pricing.

The staff were super friendly, helpful and outstanding in all they do. They're us feel like home We were spoilt with yummy breakfast and afternoon tea served daily which is a bonus as not mentioned on booking website. What about the free lunch of fresh Fijian foods served every Sunday 😋 the drip off and pick up service when needed by the beautiful Vere. The lovely aunties Emma & Lydia at the reception, the beautiful kitchen chefs Anna & Emily and the breakfast chefs Tai & Noks made our stay super special. We had kava nights with guests from all over the world and get to know them too. By the end of our stay we made friends with most of them and the highlight is we made family with the hosts. What a great and memorable holiday in Bulaland ❤️ We missed them so much

None, we were very satisfied with everything

The breakfast, so DELICIOUS! 🤤 The staff, too kind and friendly, always around whenever you need them🤗They invite guests to the kitchen for afternoon tea with yummy muffins😍 As a Ni-Van Citizen🇻🇺, I have enjoyed staying here. The laughters, small talanoa we had with the staff were one of a kind😆😁

I like everything here. I recommend the Ideal Bed and Breakfast to anyone who is looking for a place to stay for few nights as it's near the beach🏖, 3mins walk to the supermarket🍫🍕🍨☕🍶🍗🍔, easy to catch a cab/bus if you want to explore around Fiji🚕⛰️🏘🌅

Very friendly extended family group that looked after me. The morning chats around the breakfast table with the other guests were always interesting. It resulted in several of us sharing the hire of a car and exploring the surrounds. Although not expected, we occasionally were also asked to join the family group for afternoon snacks or dinner. Yummy Taro leaves concoction with cassava was very memorable. Close to the beach, literally 200m. There are other hotels and pubs on the beach front which welcomed us because of where we were staying. I’ll definitely stay again.

Nothing really

We were waved in by a warrior atop an enormous rock which set the tone for absolutely incredible scenery and great hospitality for the whole stay. Very comfortable villa, so charming and humbling being able to listen to the waves as we slept. We loved the summit hike - took a sweaty half an hour to climb up to an amazing view of the islands around, so worth it. The shark snorkelling was breathtaking too. Drinks were fairly priced - around the same as the rest of Fiji.

The food wasn’t great at all. It was an additional 140FJD per person per day (around £50 GBP) which we wouldn’t have minded at all if the food was good, but this was school dinner buffet style food. This includes a menu choice of ‘local vegetables’ which were so clearly frozen vegetables which I could have bought in Aldi anywhere in the world. I hate to be precious or ungrateful given the setting but food is important to us, especially when you end up paying £300+ per night (for the villa and food), with no drinks included.

Staff were really friendly and accommodating It's in a good location central to many day tour pick up points. Premises feel secure at night with staff always around. Breakfast, afternoon tea and Sunday lunch all exceeded expectations and done with love. We enjoyed the social atmosphere by way of eating meals together, to chat with other travellers of all ages and backgrounds.

The bed wasn't particularly comfortable and the kitchen isn't really there to be used (couldn't find any utensils - with that said, you probably wouldn't be doing much cooking there anyway)
