Breakfast was good, nice fresh juices, eggs benedict etc Comfy bed, nice and big Good aircon The BEST room cleaning service, lots of lovely nice touches, SO nice to come back to Nice toiletries included in bathroom (you also can order things from the ipad app eg dental kit etc) Good size room Spa on site for getting massages was great, pricy (as you expect in hotels) but super convenient Pool was OK, felt a bit odd having diners in the immediate vacinity when you are swimming, but it nice to take a dip after returning to hotel This is the best hotel in Suva in my opinion.

The general area, I would only travel here if travelling for work, the surrounding streets can be very dangerous (with warnings issued by govt)- definitely do not walk after dark on your own, this is not a fault of the hotel just a warning if you are travelling for tourist reasons. RE room service, their app that you order from doesnt seem to update when they are out of stock of an item which happened a handful of times.

The Pool has good quality water clarity and is a perfect size and perfect location. Staff were outgoing, warm and sincere. The reception gave me ground level room and when they say my face ( a little concerned) they said let me see what I can do. I went for a swim and came back to reception where the line was exceptionally long. The manager, Laura, noticed me and came out to see me. In a few minutes she had me up to my room #333-Ocean View, corner close to the pool! Huge shower, balcony, perfect room and a bellman that showed me the hidden fridge and other perc’s of the room. Grandest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in!

It seems pricey to me but I’m out of touch as I have been sailing for 7 years.

The Chef who cooked our breakfast each morning was exceptional. Very gracious and especially capable. In fact, the staff at all levels of responsibility were truly delightful.

A matter which we feel needs particular attention was the musty smell of the pillows. We were embarrassed to request a change of pillows on a number of occasions until we finally realised that this was a problem that we were not going to avoid. While they were comfortable, one could not escape the musty smell that was present no matter which pillows we used. It seemed to us that almost certainly this was the result of storage that did nothing to insulate these pillows from the influence of the very humid climate. We had fully intended to offer constructive feedback on the matter of pillows and your request for the review has allowed for this. Please refer these comments to the highest level of your oversight.

It is a colonial building. It has a lot of history about this hotel. Most of the time it has been used to accommodate some of the members of British Royal family. They have a lovely cafe at the front of hotel. They have medical centre and a beautiful Jewellery shop. ❤️

I think there should be a coffee place or platform upstairs to cater for guests who have their rooms downstairs would like to catch a glimpse of the parade across the road at Albert park. Just for guests only. As I was a guest downstairs we did ask the receptionist but we were told it was not allowed.

It’s so clean. Smells good. The staff are so wonderful. The beds are so comfy. The outdoor areas are a beautiful sight. The pressure of the water was fabulous as well as the use of Pure Fiji products and so many towels available for use. The iPad kept in the room to navigate everything in, around and about the hotel is an excellent idea. Big fan of the Fiji water bottles being complimentary along with many items you can request under housekeeping. An even bigger fan of the hotel practicing a greener stay. Such a beautiful hotel.

Rooms are not soundproof. Stayed with children and were told around 6pm we had to keep the noise down. The variety of food on the in-room-dining. The outdoor mats were curled up and so dangerous, I tripped on it my very first time walking outside to the sea side.

The breakfast buffet had good variety, with fresh fruit and make your own juice. I particularly liked that they offered different local inspired dishes each day, including coconut milk soaked buns and Indian and Chinese influenced savoury dishes. Outside seating by the bar and water add to the ambience. The historic photos throughout the hotel and beautiful fresh flower arrangements in the foyer were a joy.

There could be more sun loungers by the pool. Also swimming pool and adjacent area are functional rather than delightful.

Loved the Friendly and Supportive Staff. Breakfasts were amazing and room we great! We are annual guests to Fiji Suva and have historically stayed at the Novotel in Lami Bay ( We have stayed at Novotel for the last 6 years). But we were blown away by the standards and expectations that you set for your organisation. Our query is ... Are you in a position to offer a discount for the up coming years?

No Newspapers in the Breakfast areas. You physically have to go to the lobby area to receive one. A newspaper rack (Like most Hotels) would be superb!!

The reception lady that checked me in was very friendly and accommodating. The reception overall very friendly and accommodating and helpful. The rooms really were inviting after long travel hours. Breakfast staff are so friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here especially when you have special rates.

There was a bit of mix up with breakfast numbers allocated but this was easily sorted by the reception staff. GPH staff I would say are all rounder with friendly, approachable and helpful personalities.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is nice, the outside area overlooking the sea is a perfect place for watching the sunset from with a glass of wine.

We felt the room was not the best value for money, it was quite small and functional. There was a shared balcony with lots of other rooms which we did not like. The airflow was poor if the aircon was not on and the walls and tiled floors ran with condensation which made access into the bathroom area treacherous. We ended up putting towels all over the floor.

Location

Customer service when I came to the hotel to checking the staff member that served me seemed rude and unfriendly no smile no greet I was amazed at that behavior of hers. She probably needs customer care training or in the wrong industry. Mostly we check in to a a friendly staff member but this was different its sad to see tourists coming from afar to spend holidays and the smile we expect turns out unfriendly
