It is a stunning property with breathtaking glass chalets in an equally breathtaking setting right next to Santa Claus Village but still very private on the edge of the forest albeit just a 5 minute walk away from all the facilities. The restaurant might be pricey (but no more than anything else in Finland), however the food is sublime. If you don’t feel like eating in, there’s a choice of restaurants minutes away or delivery via Wolt. The chlates are large and extremely well appointed (full kitchen with a ceramic cooktop, fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker and the cutest glassware, large bathroom with a private sauna, heated glass for uninterrupted views outside, a tablet for services, slippers and bathrobes, etc). The crown jewel of the property is the outdoor private jacuzzi. Soaking in hot water surrounded by the Lapland forests and even being able to admire Aurora Borealis with a bit of luck simply cannot be beaten. The staff went above and beyond. They let me check in early, provided free coffee after my overnight train from Helsinki, when milk was requested to the room via the in-room tablet, it was delivered literally within minutes. The shuttle to the airport was also well appreciated. A stay here is not cheap. But it’s roomy (accommodates up to 4 people), extremely luxurious, and bang in the middle of the resort. So still good value.

Not a problem for me, but if you have trouble climbing stairs, do note that the supremely comfortable upstairs bed with its spectacular view to the sky and around can only be reached by a narrow spiral staircase that takes some agility. The second one is very minor and shouldn’t pose much of a burden if you can afford to stay here, however when paying over €500 a night it was a bit disheartening to see that the otherwise very high-quality and extensive breakfast buffet required a surcharge for cooked-to-order egg dishes such as a simple omelet. It was delicious and didn’t set me back by so much more financially, but I do believe that a hotel of this level (quality and price-wise) could offer that as a free perk.

The hotel was around 200 meter from the Santa Claus Village. Each house has two apartments, which are devided in two floors. In the lower floor is the bathroom with sauna, kitchen and living room, and on the top floor the bedroom. One of the walls is made of glass, as well as the roof. The windows can be covered slightly, but not entirely, so a sleeping mask is necessary. The sauna and the spa are private and very easy to use. On the TV you can find the instructions on how to use anything. You have also a tablet in your apartment where you can find all the information and communicate via chat with the reception. You also can find towels and robes on the bathroom to go outside to the spa. The restaurant is open until 21:00, and until 22:00 if you order service room. Food is delicious and local. You can ask for a transfer from and to the hotel for the airport and the city center (for a fee) The staff is very friendly and they help you with anything you need during your stay. You can also reserve different tours on the hotel. Seeing the northern lights can be a bit difficult due to the light pollution that comes from the Santa Claus Village, but renting a car or getting a tour solves that problem. A lot of activities can be done in the Santa Claus Village, even without previous reservation, so it is a perfect spot if you want to improvise activities

The food was excellent - both breakfast and dinner. Same menu everyday but can't complain when the quality is there - at breakfast the salmon, both smoked and gravlax was excellent. A good selection. Dinner was excellent also - fantastically prepared fish!! The sauna in the room was better than could be expected!! Loved it!! The staff were great and always gracious and helpful. Villie, Asha, the lovely couple from Spain and our newfound Ukranian friend - all were extremely helpful with whatever we needed.

The stairs in the room leading to the upstairs bedroom were a little steep but had plenty of places to hold onto while descending. No Northern Lights to be seen, but that is out of the hands of the resort!

everything about this hotel is perfect. the lodges are spacious, clean and beautiful surroundings. Good location near the santas village but there wasn’t much going on at night so we were so grateful for the hot tub and sauna to relax at nights. we were half board and the buffet breakfast had amazing choices. dinner included 3 courses from the a la carte menu, and it was incredible. Enough choice and everything was perfectly cooked and locally sourced, some of the best food I’ve eaten. all the staff were so helpful and friendly throughout the visit. I would recommend this hotel a million times over, worth every penny for a special experience. unfortunately we didn’t get to see the northern lights but the setting was still picturesque.

nothing! couldn’t fault it

It is a 5 stars hotel with a sense of luxury. The design of the room is so nice making us closer to the nature. The outdoor jacuzzi and sauna are something we love a lot! I have done the marriage proposal in the restaurant and the hotel staffs were extremely helpful despite I inform them quite last minute (due to change in possibility of northern light hunting). After she said yes, I can feel all the staffs participated ( especially Paulina, the lady who served us) were happy for me from their deep down. Words can’t describe my appreciation to Glass Resort, a memorable place for myself

Nothing at all

The staff were friendly and polite, the room was modern, clean and had a great feel about it. The facilities were great with our own private hot tub outside and a sauna and high pressure shower inside. The view from the floor to roof windows was lovely looking into the forests and the night time view of the sky. The evening dinner in the restaurant was delicious in a cosy atmosphere and the breakfast was well presented and tasted delicious as well. We would definitely consider returning in the near future.

We didn't have more time to spend there 😃

The best hotel I have ever stayed at. This was our first trip abroad since covid and we were a little nervous about cleanliness etc. We did not have to worry at all. There is nothing to fault. The accommodation is stunning, super clean and the hot tub in the snow is a once in a lifetime experience!. The staff - amazing. They collected us from the airport on time, checked us in earlier than planned and even did some grocery shopping for us in advance of our stay so we could enjoy our holiday and not have to go shopping! The breakfast is amazing - such a huge selection and the restaurant staff are so welcoming and spend time talking to you. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and wow what a treat this is. First class hotel - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! We will be back!

nothing!!!

The accommodation was amazing with the stunning view of the forest. It was warm and cosy inside with the convenience of being able to order drinks to your room with the click of a button. We had an igloo on the end which was cosy and peaceful away from santa village. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a great time.

That we had to leave and come home 😔

This resort was a lovely getaway that made our visit to Rovaniemi comfortable and magical. The customer service was fantastic (Nathan was very helpful with getting our room ready and providing transportation to the airport, while Natali provided us an excellent dinner experience). The room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing sky view - the best part was the private sauna and outdoor hot tub, that we were able to use at our convenience any time of day.

It is quite pricey, so something to keep in mind while budgeting for your trip. Additionally, the check-in time of 3:00pm is somewhat inconvenient in a town that is so small and requires a lot of walking to get to activities. We were able to keep our luggage with the front desk while our room was being prepared, but it would have been nice to have access to the room earlier in the day to make the most of our booking and accommodations.

We loved the facilities with the hot tub and sauna provided with each room. After having been hurt during an excursion Ville and Nathan were extremely helpful and got me taken care of with getting me to the hospital and back. Nathan also made sure we had dinner brought to the room once I was back. We definitely felt the staff went above and beyond for helping us out given the situation.

The only downside is we were told the restaurant was open from 5-10 but were not told we would need to make reservations, let alone well in advance to get the time slot you prefer.
