This hotel’s location in Santa Monica was very convenient to shopping, restaurants, highways, and the ocean. The lobby in Hampton Inn and suites was large, bright, and comfortable to spend time in. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped. What I loved the most was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, especially the people at the front desk! The generosity and convenience of the breakfast was much appreciated. They changed it up a little every day to make it interesting. I enjoyed breakfast there every day, and appreciated the choices offered. Another thing I really appreciated was that when I asked for a “quiet room”, I was given a room on the courtyard.

I stayed during a strike. The strikers outside made a lot of noise. (But the staff remained professional and very helpful throughout.) iI would not have booked this hotel if I had known there was going to be a strike 5 out of 6 days! Would have loved more fruit choices than “apples and oranges” in the breakfast.

Breakfast was the best! Bravo to the ladies restocking up front! So nice of them to say Goodmorning everytime.

No fridge in room. no free parking for guests. Bed wasn’t too cozy.

Everything was super clean, the room was amazing, comfy bed, very clean and quite. the breakfast was awesome. The location was very convenient. Staff was outstanding, especially staff from the reception was very helpful and super friendly.

Breakfast room was quickly reaching full capacity at a specific time. Therefore come early to breakfast. ;-)

Location is the highlight of this hotel - Close to Santa Monica Beach and can walk to 3rd street and Venice beach The rooms are of decent size and the property is clean and has decent amenities There is a parking fee but it’s worth for the location and the valet service is quick & hassle free

The homeless by the metro station is a bit off putting but I don’t think it’s their control. Breakfast is very average

The location was convenient to walking to the beach, pier and 3rd street The staff and valet were very friendly and helpful. The wood floors were nice for cleanliness. The hotel was clean.

The fact that we didn’t know there wasn’t free parking anywhere, valet was $100 extra for 2 nights I didn’t plan on. Our room faced the alley and it was noisy at night. I would stay again but would ask for an interior room. After all day at universal I was looking forward to yhe Jacuzzi but it was filthy! Had hair in it, and the plaster was dirty and peeling, so I didn’t get in.

Location was great - easy to find and a short walk from the pier and beach. The hotel was equipped with a gym, a pool and a laundry, which was a big help in the second week of our trip!

The gym is a little basic, and the room where breakfast is served could be bigger given the size of the hotel. A couple of times we had to wait a while for seating. The complimentary coffee was frequently empty as well.

Blankets. The bed was comfortable, but the duvet cover is not great feels weird to the touch. The breakfast would be better if there were a new vendor for the baked goods there is so much that gets thrown away. It doesn’t taste good it’s very strange consistency doesn’t have a good flavor could be improved.

great location, awesome staff and valet service

they overbooked the hotel the first night so when I arrived at 2.30am by myself with 2 kids there was no room available. I had booked 4 months ago so was a little disappointed. They arranged another hotel for the first night but I did not enjoy having to walk 3 blocks by ourselves to another hotel for our first night at that time of the morning, it was a little scary.

Great location, couldn't be any better. The hotel is reachable by bus or car, whatever you want. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Coffe was empty at the morning. The staff immediately refilled it after i asked for it :-) I can really recommend the hotel if you're not staying to long and enjoy exploring beautiful Santa Monica.

Car parking si too expensive.. I understand that it is Santa Monica but it could be little more affordable.

I like the balcony. Since it was right by the railway station it was pretty loud but if you close the door and turn on the white noise machine you can't hear it. It was nice that I could open the balcony door and get some fresh air in the room.

The floor was kind of dirty my feet was black and I had to wipe them off before putting on my socks and shoes. When we got there they didn't have the two-bed Queen room like we booked and they blamed it on booking.com. they said booking.com always over books them. so I would call ahead the day you check in. They gave us a one bed king size with a roll in single bed instead. We liked the balcony that it came with. The air conditioning sometimes Wouldn't work right away.
