Hotel is literally across the street from the Shin Yamaguchi station, easy access, simple but clean rooms and very friendly staff! It's also in an area with a variety of restaurants, but be advised on a slow Sunday afternoon, not a lot is open (but the conbini two doors down was, so we managed to get a late lunch all the same). It's a short train ride to Yuda-onsen, and the bus going to the Akiyoshido caves goes from the hotel's side of the station. Tip: if you have a foreign passport please apply to the one day bus pass, it's cheaper than two single tickets, and you can also use it like we did from hotel to caves to Yuda Onsen and back to the hotel. Not all buslines are on Google maps, but every stop and bus has a QR code with information on that line. Bus pass can be applied for at the bus information desk, it takes about 10 minutes to get.

This is a great stop-over hotel, what you see is what you get. The rooms and bathroom are small so you wouldn't want to stay there for an extended period. But is was perfect for an overnight stay. The Hotel is literally across the road from Shin-Yamaguchi Station and a very handy 7-Eleven is just next door for provisions. The room and bathroom were clean with a great TV and desk provided. There is also a laundry room with coin operated washing machines and dryers - washing detergent is automatically added when you start the cycle. Sound proofing was excellent, we heard no noise from neighbouring rooms and no noise from Shin-Yamaguchi Station even though it is practically next door. It made for a great view from our hotel window though. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety to choose from, and honestly, the coffee machine produced the best coffee we'd had in Japan! The Times car hire is a 10 minute walk through Shin-Yamaguchi Station so the Hotel is in an excellent location for picking-up or dropping-off hire cars. Enquire about parking when you make your booking or at check-in. An excellent hotel for short stays and so convenient for travellers using Shinkansen.

This hotel was perfect for our needs.

Very convenient location, the main station is basically nextdoor. The facilities are clean. Cleaning servive is offered every day, you get new towels everyday and if needed they change linens whenever you want. Although the staff doesn’t speak english, they always tried and help me the best they could. Mattress is comfortable. In general a small but comfortable room.

The pillow was really uncomfortable for me. Just two washing machines and two dryers, for the entire hotel.

The location is extremely convenient, which is around 5-minute walk from the Shinkansen exit of Shin-Yamaguchi station (a little bit nearer for the local train exit). There was not much food to choose from for the breakfast but the food was yummy (I like the healthy fruit juice/smoothie which varies from day to day). They have a washing machine which is necessary for travelers not bringing too many clothes. Overall, this hotel is just great.

There's nothing much I dislike.

The location was a great jump off point to the Chugoku region (and even Hakata). There is also a nearby convenience store. The buffet was also great. They even have their own signature dishes which, I guess, they alternate daily. Check in and check out were quick and hassle free.The staff were all nice. Also, the coin laundry (inclusive of detergent) and dryer were very convenient.

The following were not really things I did not like but more of a heads up to those interested: - The location was a bit not commercial.If you need access to major establishments like Uniqlo, Yodobashi, etc, this is not the place for you. - The place is already dated. So if you are not comfortable with discolorated or stained wall paints, then you will not the place. - There were only 2 sets of washers and dryers. There is a strong chance those people who got ahead of you will not immediately get their laundry. It happened to me and I had to wait for ten minutes before, as suggested by the other Japanese guests , I removed the laundry and put it in the plastic bag near the machines

Comfortable and quiet place to stay, clean, but small room. The bed was next to the window which was very cold in the evening, but we had thick blankets. The free breakfast was very nice and the staff are very friendly. Good stay if you need to take the shinkansen early the next day. There are some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood

Great location and amazing value. This is pretty much a standard "business hotel" you would find in Japan. The breakfast offering was nice and the overnight staff had to help me as I got locked out of my room.

For and foreign travellers, the room number is on your key and will seem not safe. Please keep in mind this is how Japan does it. If you are travelling on a budget, this is a quick shinkansen ride away from more expensive alternatives like Kokura and Hakata.

Great value for money. Great location a stone's throw from Shin Yamaguchi station. Good base to explore Yamaguchi. Good strong showers. The staff were very polite and helpful. Buffet breakfast was really good - my teenage sons loved the food. There is a free ice machine on the fourth floor!

Rooms were small and a bit dated but overall, this hotel is excellent value for money,

Breakfast was excellent. Great variety and we had a hearty meal over the two days. A 7-11 and supermarket nearby within walking distance. Also a lot of eateries around the train station, which was just across from the hotel.

Room was a bit small, so having two big luggages will be a tight squeeze.

Close to station, 7/11 next door. Plenty of room for small luggage. Lovely reception staff, easy check-in, breakfast was nice, cereal & yoghert, best smoothies..fruit also. Easy to get to Yamaguchi city etc on local trains.
