We were given a hearty welcome.by our hosts. it was a hot day and the covered pool was welcoming. We were given bathrobes and slippers for our use .. the garden was tranquil and private and we enjoyed the dip after a long day on the road . The room was spacious and comfy .. we enjoyed the old world charm of this establishment.. a good breakfast was given the following morning.. I would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast .. we enjoyed our stay

Perhaps the wi fi could have been better .. but the garden the pool The warm welcome and comfy bed and good breakfast made up for a wonderful stay .

It was a great experience to stay in the beautiful 300 years old house with very high ceilings. Our hosts were marvelous. With patience and kindness it was possible to communicate in spite of our poor French skills. They did what they possibly could to give us a great stay.

We weren't introduced to the garden and pool, but maybe because we arrived in the evening and left in the morning.

Dominique and Cathy are the most delightful and kind hosts. They have a beautiful house which exudes charm and peace. They serve an amazing homemade organic breakfast and even provide a jug of flowers from their garden on the table. I cannot fault this beautiful chambres d'hôtes and was very sad to leave

It's like stepping back into victorian era of France the house from the outside was in an old terraced street inside was just like walking into the "tardis" an amazing eclectic mixture of pre and post war France what an experience The hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating all in all not to be missed if you are in the area The breakfast was a mixture of homemade bread and jam etc yoghurt etc etc and was delicious

The only restaurant in town was closed so as we were travelling on bikes we made do with a kebab at the local kebab shop.(Wednesday) Obviously this is not to detract from the hosts it is just something to keep in mind if you are cycling the canal

It's a magnificent house hosted by the most delightful, kind couple. The room was really spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It is well located for the train station and all the facilities in the town are really close by. We have already booked to go back!

A beautiful house with very kind and welcoming hosts. Dominique and Cathy were very helpful and even did some washing for us. The breakfast was delicious and we ate it in a beautiful conservatory overlooking the garden. A beautiful place to stay with lovely owners.

One small thing - I thought I had originally booked the suite with more than one room. I received a message asking if we were all in one room, to which I replied that I thought we had booked the suite but that if we had to be in one room it would not be a problem. I think there was a small misunderstanding, however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The house and garden were a delight. We were the only guests that night and the charming proprietors were very welcoming and generous even though we arrived earlier than expected. We felt privileged to stay in their lovely home and cool down in the pool after a long hot ride into town. Early breakfast was very good. It was a memorable stay.

We stayed at Clos Muneau while exploring the area and we loved it. Aiguillon is a pretty and very quiet town. The location of this B&B is central and it's very easy to reach from the train station - a couple of minutes’ walk. The property is charming, the room we stayed in was clean and very large. The garden is full of beautiful plants and flowers, a pond with lilies and little frogs, so tranquil as if you are in the countryside. They also have a swimming pool, but we weren't visiting in summer, so it wasn't hot enough for swimming. You certainly feel you are in France here. The breakfast was excellent - fresh croissants, raspberries, cheese, juice and coffee, selection of yummy jams, butter and bread. Yet the best thing about Clos Muneau is its owners - Caty and Dominique - they are very welcoming, generous with their time and information provided. We would have liked to stay longer, and we would enjoy staying here again.

There was nothing we weren't happy with.

The host were the star of the accommodation, it was a beautiful old house, our room was fabulous, we had the garage to store our bicycles, a pool to relax in after we arrived, a great restaurant in town, we found it by chance and it will be one of our top stays as we cycle France from top to bottom. I’d happily stay there again just to say hello to the owners, we will not forget them.

Leaving

Hosts were exceptional, so welcoming and did everything to make us comfortable. The house was had an elegant and old fashioned style and very spacious. it was lovely to be able to have a refreshing swim in the pool .
