We have just spent a delightful two days with Alison at Le 31. As soon as we arrived we found her to be a genuinely warm lovely person who takes pride in her home and in entertaining guests. The house and bedrooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The beds are so comforable that I didn't want to get out of it and slept soundly both nights. Everything in Amboise is within walking distance and so we dined out for tapas one night and then Alson cooked us a lovely meal on the second night which was my husbands birthday. Highly recommended if you want something more personal than a large hotel. We shall be back for sure.

Breakfast was spectacular. Lots of choice and made to perfection and fresh daily. Loved the atmosphere sitting with the other guests and host! Also loved the personal touches in the room with the embroidered towels and matching bedding and curtains and the chandelier added an extra touch. The rooms were done in excellent taste. Host was spectacular! Made you feel very welcome and had great information about the area. Loved getting to know her and made the experience so much more personal and exceptional.

Everything about Alison's place is perfect. Easy walk to anywhere and Alison goes out of her way to make you feel at home. We were instantly comfortable with her and enjoyed chatting with her. I can't possibly type enough about Alison to adequately describe how wonderful she is. From the moment she opened the door, we felt perfectly at home and comfortable with her. Don't even get me started about her food - she's the best!!

Nothing could have been better. Only more time here would improve our stay. We were bouncing to several areas of France and were only in Amboise for a couple of days. Only regret is that we didn't plan a couple more days here.

The home was very nice, well maintained and very comfortable. Alison the owner, and her husband peter were so much fun to talk to at breakfast and share a glass of wine before heading out to one of the excellent restaurants in Amboise. Alison is a trained chef and her home baked breads, croissants and other breakfast treats were outstanding. our room was roomy, well equipped with seating for resting up before bedtime. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very spacious. I highly recommend Les 31 B&B

Amazing hostess! I highly recommend booking dinner at the hotel in advance. The owner of the hotel is a professional chef. The four of us dined with a couple from Australia, a wonderful cozy evening with very tasty food and a different Loire wine with each course. Very comfortable large bed with quality linen, good pillows and proper mattress. Excellent spacious shower stall that closes tightly, excellent water pressure. Plenty of free street parking within a 50-150 meter radius.

The property was easy to find and free parking was a breeze! Alison was the perfect host. Nothing is too much trouble she goes above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable and at home. Breakfast is a wonderful start to the day where guests gather together to enjoy the home cooked treats made by Alison. We engaged in tails of our journeys and stories about our countries. It was the perfect start to each day. Nothing was too much trouble Alison recommended restaurants and assisted with sightseeing recommendations making our time here perfect in every way!

Alison has thought of everything and was so committed to making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with freshly baked bread, croissants and other baked treats daily as well as fruit, yogurt, cheeses and meats. Alison was also so helpful with information on places to visit and restaurant recommendations. The position is very central being only 5 minutes walk to the old town and very quiet at night.

We loved our short stay at Le 31! The host Alison was so kind and friendly and warmly welcomed us into her home. The house and bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms are very modern. Her attention to details does not go unnoticed as she provides you with all the comforts you need. Everything is spotless and the beds are comfortable. Alison provides a delicious breakfast with fruit, breads, yogurts, granola, meats, cheeses, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. It was so relaxing and we wished we could have lingered longer. The location is so perfect and is steps away from shops, restaurants and attractions in Ambroise. We loved our stay and hope to come again in the future!

Alison was the perfect host from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. It's clear that she has put her heart and soul into Number 31. The bedroom was beautiful and elegant, breakfast was homemade and delicious, and the house was cosy and warm despite the plunging outside temperatures. Amboise is the perfect place for visiting the Chateaux of the Loire, especially at Christmas. A delightful and festive experience. Thank you again, Alison, for welcoming us into your home.

We loved the location as it was a short walk into town and all the places of interest and restaurants. The property itself had some wonderful period details that were explained to us by our host. The room was beautifully decorated and secure with a safe for your valuables. It also benefited from an outside courtyard where we enjoyed the superb breakfast.
