We had the most amazing experience staying at this wonderful place, surrounded by stunning scenery that feels like a hidden gem. What truly made our stay unforgettable were the incredibly involved and welcoming owners, Chiara and Ruud. Chiara, the chef, deserves a Michelin star for her extraordinary culinary skills – every meal was a delight! And Ruud deserves a special award for going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The room was cozy and equipped with all the essentials, making it feel like home. As a final touch of their outstanding service, they provided us with fresh croissants for our next day of driving, showing just how thoughtful and attentive they are. We cannot recommend this place enough – it’s a must-visit!

The tranquility, the welcome from Ruud & Chiara, the dinner (a fabulous cod dish), sitting on our private terrace sipping wine in the sunshine, the conversation after dinner and a very restful and comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was good and Ruud was extremely helpful after we left some items behind. A wonderful experience and well worth the trip to get there. If you do decide to book here, make time to visit Aubazines, we didn't so will have to return 😁.

It is a beautiful house, very tastefully decorated by the charming owners. Our room had a separate seating area with a comfortable sofa. We arrived in bad weather so couldn't really appreciate the lovely setting. We were given a very tasty evening meal and a good breakfast. Perfect for a one-night stay

It was a bit of a trek up from Aubazine. The room was good but I found the bathroom rather small and difficult to move around in.

This is a perfect Chambre d'Hotes that has the charm of a quaint country hotel. It is clean and modern and expertly managed by Ruud and Chiara. They offer wonderful dinners on the beautiful terrace when reserved in advance. They also offer a wide selection of drinks from aperitifs through wine to digestifs. It is conveniently located to historic Aubazine and there are two amazing hiking trails (both hilltop and valley stream) that are right in front of the entrance. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. We are seasoned Europe traveller's and give it our highest recommendation.

The property and facilities were excellent we could not have wanted more . The bedroom had a separate little lounge. Kettle , coffee and toiletries were also proved .dinner in a beautiful outside terrace with trees and views . The towels were lovely and soft , we had nice chocolate on our pillow . The food was absolutely amazing both for dinner and breakfast . The couple that run the chambre d’ote are it’s best asset. They are welcoming, kind and very helpful. We found them friendly and charming and they gave us lots of information about the local areas and walks. Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed

Exceptional. Ruud and Chiara are superb hosts who made us and our dog feel really welcome. The hotel is charming, beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Great location for a our stop over on our journey but would love to come back for a longer stay sometime. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious with quality ingredients and produce.

Fantastic location. Ruud and Chiara were excellent hosts. Parking right by the side of the property. We had dinner which we can’t recommend highly enough. Wonderful food very good value for money and a great choice of reasonably priced wines. Option to dine outside. The room was actually a small suite.

The suite was a little bit cramped but they have done a good job of converting an old building without knocking it to bits.

The location is quiet and the views are amazing. Rudd & Chiara are so friendly and accommodating. Chiara is the.chef and her dinner is amazing. This is our second stay as we enjoyed our first stay so much. Highly recommended and you will have a warm welcome and exceptional stay.

What great hosts. Fantastic find up in the mountains. Made to feel very welcome. Dinner outside under the trees was excellent. Will visit again when in that area.

This is a little gem of a place. A little out of the Brive but the food more than made up for this. We were lucky enough to stay for 2 nights and the food on both nights was excellent. We had a small apartment which was lovely, although the bathroom was a little small. The hosts Ruud and Chiara were lovely, and we would definitely go back and recommend.
