The hotel was great. First of all, the location is hard to beat as it is situated in the historical center of the town, 5-10 minutes walking anywhere. Second, the building is charming - it used to be a Benedictine monastery if I recall correctly - but it is in great shape and even has an elevator (important if you come with big luggage). We arrived on Friday night and next morning found ourselves in the middle of the town market, literally at your door. Breakfast was nice. And last but not least, there is a nice lounge area with a pool table!

Nothing really. One thing to note though - there is no parking at the hotel, but there is a large outdoor parking 3-5 minutes walking distance and it's free.

There was no full length mirror in our room, the door was a little hard to open as the lock handle was missing, we would have liked a cheaper continental only breakfast option

Location of the hotel is the most pertinent factor, along with free parking close by. Breakfast buffet is extensive

A little concerned by some standards of cleaning with noticeable areas within the shower cubicle of evidence of water related staining and some sealant mould/grout discolouring where the shower tray is against the wall tiling. Minor issues with cobwebs.

Staff were excellent and accommodating. The location is great in the center of town. The room was comfortable. I wish we had a small fridge but the staff held our cheese purchases in their fridge for us.

Had an interior room that looked on to a not maintained patio area. Wished for a better view.

Hotel was very centrally located but somewhat aged. Shower was excellent but tiles could definitely do with a good scub Had a general feeling of old world but staff very nice and beds very comfortable . Room small but certainly good value for money. Breakfast wanted for nothing. Would be happy to stay again but would recommend with a caveat ( which really means no frills, excellent location, helpful staff and good value for money

A small, friendly and centrally-located hotel offering a good choice of food at breakfast. A pleasant lounge with a bar is available to guests.

The hotel is about 2 km from the railway station. For most people it will be an easy walk, but if you have heavy luggage, or if the weather is very wet, you may have difficulty getting a taxi.

Very helpful man on reception who explained about car parking etc. The hotel is situated just round the corner from the 'hospice' which is well worth seeing. The Saturday morning market was great - wish we could have spent longer looking round it. Great breakfast too.

We really like this hotel, and stay here whenever we are passing through this area. It is really well located, overnight parking can usually be found right outside the hotel, the staff are friendly and very helpful and the rooms and their bathrooms are great.

Location is superb. Train station within walking distance. Many restaurants, cafes, shops etc close by. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was great to stay in a hotel that complemented the age of the centre ville and that provided a lift as well as stairs.

Shower was a little small for larger people but usable.

The best thing about this hotel is the excellent location right in the heart of the old city, with free parking a short walk away. Breakfast was good with lots of options available.

The hotel while charming is a bit dated, feeling its age.
