The Hotel is very well located, about 100m from the main city square and (as the name suggests!) within a stones throw of the magnificent cathedral. It is in a relatively quiet side street, although the rooms at the back will be quieter. The rooms are clean and medium sized, with opening windows and shutters for the light. The host was very helpful indeed and looked after our cases whilst we explored the city.. We also chose to have the breakfast which was worth the money,

The hotel has many large self closing fire doors which close with a loud bang.

Arrived by bicycle and there was a spot in locked yard outside. The Manager/owner spoke English and was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, had everything we needed. Good bathroom with excellent shower and separate toilet. Tea and small coffee machine provided. Manager recommended a small restaurant very close by which was good value and enthusiastic chef’s cooking on site. Wifi was good and breakfast above average. Clean, modern. Spot on. Very close to centre. Excellent value for money

Loved the hotel, very clean and welcoming, Manager was very friendly, a d helpful. Room supplied with Netflix TV and bathroom supplied with toiletries and clean towels every day. Perfect. Beds was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again if visit.

I would have liked a little kettle in room with some tea/ coffee sachet, for morning time, complimentary. Could go downstairs to reception bar and buy drinks/ breakfast but nice to wake up and make before setting out.

Very close to the heart of the city - s good for walking and finding a place to eat. A few mints stool to the amazing cathedral - it has the highest nave in all gothic architecture - but it was never completed. A massive spire collapsed - these medieval crafts Pepe we re really trying to test the possibilities of budding at the time! Nevertheless it is a truly awesome space. Also notable are the oldest autonomic clock dating for the 13th century and an extraordinary 1860s astronomical clock with many automatons, including a clock that crows and flaps its wings on the hour, moon phases, star positions through the year etc. But by local artisans it is calibrated not to Greenwich Mean Time but to Beauvais solar time! Built during the reign of Napoleon III it is also anti English - there is a heavens and hell side of the story related to us by the extremely kind and friendly Orologiste Francois - on one side there is a depiction of Mont St Michel with moving wave and a sloop bobbing up and down of the waves (the heavenly side) and on the other side is the Island of Jersey worth a sinking ship beneath moving waves.... much of the mediaeval city adjacent to this huge budding was destroyed in 1940 - a great loss - just fragments persist. GO to Rouen (which also suffered destruction) to see large area so f half timbered houses and narrow passageways to get an idea of what used to be here.

it was a bit cool - energy saving of course.

We opted to buy our own breakfast as we had to leave early - cycling to Paris! However, the v friendly & informative receptionist gave us a kettle & cups for our own breakfast coffee & told us where the nearest open patisserie was. Loved chatting to the receptionist. Genuinely friendly & happy to help Thé

Maybe just have the kettle or at least the cups in the room so you don’t have to ask………prompted by the cups, you know there was a kettle available

Our welcome at this hotel couldn't have been friendlier in spite of the fact that we arrived before check-in time with two bikes. The manager came out specially to let us in even though he had a broken arm! Comfortable and generously-sized room with an exceptionally large bathroom suitable for travellers with physical disabilities. Very centrally located just behind the cathedral and in a quiet shopping area. Wide range of shops and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Secure cycle storage for those cycling the Avenue Verte. Excellent and fresh breakfast selection.

Excellent location in the center of town. Manager was especially nice and accommodating. Printed some airline documents for me. Basic no frills room. Bed and bedding were comfortable. Bathroom had reasonable space and enough room on the sink to place toiletries. WiFi worked well. Room was very quiet.

For the price, I was expecting a little more hotel atmosphere but it was basically a handful of rooms above the bar. No lobby as such. Mid March the room was chilly. I detected a little heat coming from the register my first morning but none after that. I had to turn on the towel bar in the evening to get a little warmth into the room

We liked the service, excellent contact and quick responses from the Manager. It was a comfortable room, nice and dark with shutters too.

We liked everything for our short stay. The road outside was a bit noisy during the night and it wasn't too clear where we could park but we were lucky to find a space outside

A super friendly owner who went out of his way to make us welcome. And the truly amazing facilities for disabled people. They are so well thought through and functional without anyone noticing they are there. There are so few hoteliers who understand how to do that well and at La Cathedrale they are amongst the best

excellent location for visiting Beauvais. we received a lovely welcome from Tony, (manager?). Tony went above and beyond; sourcing gluten free products for a breakfast, making suggestions and recommendations, nothing was too much trouble. Helped us arrange our travel to Paris. We highly recommend and would visit again.
