Easy check in. Good parking for disabled. Style of the house and the grounds. Interior decoration and lighting were attractive. A really lovely place to stay. Excellent communication. Well sign posted with banners which made it helpful to find. Our family room was great as there were three of us and it has two rooms so it gave the third person privacy. It has a fridge with freezer section which was a great help as I have medication to store and ice blocks to freeze whilst travelling. A huge attractive bathroom. We will return!

You are given a code to the door - very efficient but there is no one there to greet you when you arrive. The first time you meet someone is at breakfast. The lady was lovely.

Beautifully converted house, decorated with taste to a high standard. We had the room Lisieux on the second floor, charming, with exposed beams. It's not large, but perfectly adequate, and has a very copious not-so-mini bar (it's a full-sized fridge!) - sadly the bottles of wine weren't on the price list, so didn't risk opening one! Arrival is self-check-in, but personnel were on hand in the morning. We told them of our problems in the bathroom (leak under the sink and loose shower attachment) and they promised to have them seen to. Breakfast was in a delightful room, with a very well provided buffet and a basket of viennoiseries and bread (this could have been a little more generous) on the table.

After a long day riding vintage lambrettas this was a treat, the host were warm and welcoming and as a party of 12 they laid on extra refreshments, the pool is an ace feature as its heated and was enjoyed by all , The town is nearby and has excellent restaurant that was recommended by the host, on the morning of checkout it was torrential rain and they allowed us to wait it out in the lounge with tea and coffee provided and can’t thank the host enough for there hospitality, will return again

Easy to find and decor lovely, staff friendly. Breakfast was very good. Pool table in conservatory.

A little run down in places, toilet seat broken, covered bath nice but taps broken and no shower curtain. Husband 6ft tall and struggled to shower properly. Some bed linen ripped. Outdoor pool advised as open but covered in leaves. Also note staircase very noisy were a family of 6 so sounded like a herd of elephants when we arrived late in the evening (apologises)

The hotel was very clean and in a beautiful building, with private parking, and a small garden that was very handy for our dog. The breakfast was generous and tasty.

We booked the cheapest room, and so we probably got what we paid for. The one complaint we have is that the bathroom had no door, so using it during the night meant waking up my partner. The room was very small, but that was clear at the point of booking.

Location very good proximity to walk into the town. Rooms were comfortable. In room facilities were useful. The lounge area was nice to have. The outside area was nice but didn’t get to use the pool as we had no time.

Shower tray was slippery, dangerous for older people. Shortage of sockets. No wardrobes or cupboards to put clothes, although coat pegs were provided. Wooden spiral staircase as our small dog (7kg) couldn’t manage the curve and fell down so we had to carry her up and down all the time.

We liked the self check in as it was nice and easy for us on arrival. The room was lovely and clean with plenty of space - the bathroom was huge with lots of towels. We were very comfortable for one night. Breakfast in the morning was fine, fairly basic but adequate. The children really enjoyed the pool. We ate at a nearby asian style buffet restaurant, set price as much as you want was brilliant and easy, very close. The property has lots parking and Bernay was walking distance and some lovely shops for gifts. Very happy with our stay.

Nothing all great

The house is gorgeous, my children loved the pool and the pool table. We ordered pizza from a shop a 5 min walk away and enjoyed them with a glass of wine. Breakfast was delicious. We are staying there again on the return leg of our journey and can't wait

The bathrooms were a great size but our bath didn't have a shower curtain. So worried about flooding the bathroom. But only a tiny negative point.

Room exceeded my expectations, very spacious, well equipped, comfy bed with quality linen and all very clean. The continental breakfast was fresh with lots of choice. Location is excellent with it being a short stroll to the lovely little town of Bernay. Host Ingrid is super welcoming and can not do enough to ensure you have a great stay.

If you have mobility issues you may find the stairs a challenge, that said, I don't know if there are any rooms on the ground floor.

We had the Etetat room on the first floor, which was lovely. Plenty of room, very comfy bed and great in-room facilities (fridge, coffee machine, shampoo and soap etc). The hotel is lovely, and quite unique in it's style I would say, with some beautiful artwork and ornaments. The continental breakfast sets you up for the day, and you can more or less eat and drink as much as you want from the variety of food available. There is plenty of parking on site too, so no on-street parking necessary. The host is very friendly and speaks mainly French, but is also fluent in English, so that's great for any Brits who aren't so confident with their language skills. Will definitely be booking our next trip, and would recommend this hotel to everyone. Oh, by the way, Bernay, is a lovely town with lots of places to eat and drink, and as a bonus it's within walking distance of the hotel! Fabulous place!!
