Beautiful building, well situated in Brantome. Stephanie and Pascal, were friendly, helpful, excellent hosts. Although they spoke excellent English, they were kindly tolerant of our sometimes not entirely functional French. The wifi worked well, the bed was comfy, and the breakfasts, which included every day something that Stephanie had baked or prepared, were quite tasty. Since it was cold and rainy, we didn't spend time in the garden, but it is easy to imagine that it would be lovely in summer. Also, two excellent restaurants we enjoyed, both within walking distance were Au Fil de Temps and Le Jardin des Chouchoux, the former doing an excellent job with classics like Magret de Canard, the latter having some fine, interesting and more modern cuisine, albeit based on local ingredients.

The friendliness of our reception and nothing was too much trouble for Stephanie. She went out of her way to prepare breakfasts for us, to suit our special requirements i.e. vegetarian and low carb diet. An easy walk into the beautiful town and a comfortable and peaceful room to return to. We would happily stay here again.

Lovely period French town house in great location for visiting the historic centre of Brantôme. House and our room decorated in the style of the period with some nice modern touches like bedside reading lights and a mobile cooling fan. A good inclusive, traditional French breakfast .

It’s a lovely old French home, beautifully decorated. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast quite nice, Stephanie is kind and helpful, location excellent for exploring Brantôme.

Our garden view was slightly marred by something covered in an old tarp but it’s very leafy and pretty. And the windows are wonderful!

breakfast could be termed modest, some nice touches, but host seemed to ration supply of jam and butter, and was nowhere to be seen to respond to requests for just a bit mor

We had been warned the breakfast would be special and it certainly didn't disappoint. Bed was very comfortable and the location was great, just a short walk to the middle of Brantome, the river and all the restaurants. We had a lovely, relaxed couple of days here.

Villa Medicis is a charming period home, spotlessly clean, a quiet location with easy parking and only a 2-minute stroll to the centre of Brantome. Our hostess was very welcoming and friendly and served an excellent breakfast.

lovely traditional French guest house a short walk (4-5 mins) from the beautiful town of Brantome. Had use of the large garden too and the lady host brought us complimentary beers/water which was a nice surprise and much appreciated in the 40 degree heat. Lovely breakfast. we were made to feel very welcome.

No air-con in the rooms ( as you might expect in such a traditional property) so sleeping was difficult. worth pointing out that we visited during an extreme heat-wave so probably worse than it would usually be.

Good location a short walk from the centre; secure parking for our motorcycles; welcoming host, who helped our friend to source a replacement headlight bulb and drove him to the store to collect it. The rooms were comfortable and a great breakfast selection.

Wi-Fi was a bit weak

Great off street parking adjacent to hotel. Grounds were amazing also. Breakfast was lovely, so many nice home baked items. It’s clear the owner goes to a lot of effort in preparing breakfast for guests.

Not much. Slight walk from the centre of Brantome but it’s totally fine. It’s a French thing I guess but there are a lot of sweet things to eat at breakfast. Would have loved something else savoury e.g cooked eggs but that’s a personal choice.
