Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff. Our stay of 5 nights was the « Best » birthday treat!! Relaxing highlights: from our balcony - watching the pilgrims crossing the Pont Valentre ( Cahors is on the Santiago de compostella pilgrim route) and watching the river craft passing through the lock by the ancient bridge. Active highlights: Close proximity to excellent restaurants, shops, and the historic centre and easy exit out of town ( once we understood the one way streets better than the sat nav!) The Lot valley is very pretty - Saint -Cirq- Lapopie and the amazing cave drawings at the Grotte Pech Merle are a short drive out of Cahors. Safe hotel parking arrangements were much appreciated.

For a very comfortable luxury hotel the catering arrangements were of a less high standard/ value for money. Breakfasts were expensive but generally very good with lots of choice. ( There is a super river view terrace) But there is no hotel restaurant and the limited light bar menu was disappointing. However only a few minutes walk away there is a superb restaurant, a crêperie and a Boulangerie/ cafe. So this turned out not to be a problem.

I stayed at this Best Western with a friend as we were meeting my uncle and his friend after they finished the French part of the Camino Trail. The dinner was wonderful in the restaurant with fabulous and friendly staff. The room was amazing with a beautiful view of the river and the medieval bridge in Cahors. Everything had been thought of in the room down to a small ledge in the shower to put your foot up when washing, as well as a washing line in the shower space to dry any handwashing done during the stay. We loved it and would definitely recommend to anyone considering a stay in Cahors.

We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel, and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. It was in a lovely location, right next to the river, which we could look out on from the window of our lovely spacious bedroom window, and in addition, sit out on the adequate balcony with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. In all, we were very impressed with the management of the Hotel and their staff, and the way they are dealing with the problems caused by the current Covid situation. Well done!

The only downside to our room was a continuous noise coming from the air vents, which interrupted ones sleep, but we understand that the hotel is aware of the problem, which unfortunately was due to a bad installation, and it is currently in hand and will be sorted very soon.

The Devona is one of our favourite hotels. Located on the banks of the River Lot, adjacent to the superb Pont Valentré, it's an ideal base from which to explore the region. The staff are efficient, helpful and extremely friendly. I would offer a special 'thank you' for our stay on 13/7/2022 since we had to make an extremely last minute change to our arrival date which the hotel very kindly accommodated at very short notice. Highly recommended.

I honestly couldn't add any complaint. The Devona is excellent all round.

Just an overnight stop but room was excellent cannot fault any element of it. Breakfast also excellent with friendly helpful staff throughout

Dinner was poor the menu was quite restricted and the choices of the day not great. The roast veal was swimming in what can only be described as dishwater like sauce/gravy. The staff were great clearly they were short staffed. We would suggest eating in the town but we arrived quite late and tired so chose to eat in the restaurant.

Perfectly situated next to Pont Valentré, it’s delightful to breakfast outside, watching the river and listening to the birdsong, and the breakfast is excellent too- hot and cold buffet, with very good choice. Easy to walk into the centre for restaurants but there are some close by. Staff are all friendly and helpful.

Nothing- we love this hotel

I was overwhelmed by the superb location of this hotel, right next to the medieval bridge that is the city's most important tourist site; you can sit in comfortable chairs on the hotel's lovely lawn, enjoying a glass of local wine and watching the river flow by. In addition, the front-desk staff was helpful, the breakfast was generous, and our room was comfortable and had a small balcony overlooking the river and the bridge. The garage had several charging stations for our electric car, which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is a very pleasant place to have breakfast or a drink, but I don't recommend eating dinner. As a hotel, it's a ten; as a restaurant, I'd barely give it a "2". We only ate dinner there one night because it was pouring rain and very cold, and the food was really poor, while the service was slow and unprofessional. However, Cahors is full of good and even excellent restaurants, so just take the time to find them.

We travelled in France for three weeks. This was one of my favorite hotels! The location was amazing. We had a view of the Medieval bridge. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and huge with a long vanity, tub and a walk-in shower. Breakfast was excellent. I really appreciate the efforts of the staff to go above and beyond expectations. I had a recent foot injury and reception furnished buckets of ice, so I could ice it. That really helped.

Everything. This place is superb. We come back every year for a) Bastille Day - you can watch the fireworks on the Pons Valentre from the hotel terrace or from your room balcony and b) for the Cahors blues festival. We love the hotel. It is our favourite place.

The life wasn’t working for 2 hours one day.

Lovely view of the river Lot and the magnificent Pont de Laventre. The staff were quite excellent - friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble even when we asked for a picnic lunch which they do not normally provide, or when I needed to buy a panama hat giving directions to an excellent shop which had just what I wamted. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety, good quality and well presented.
