We had an awesome stay at Chalet Alpen Valley. Waking up in the morning to a view of Mont-Blanc was breathtaking! Eating breakfast with the mountain views were a good way to start the day. Dinners were delicious, with a good variety to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend the hotel!

An excellent hotel offering arguably the finest view of Montblanc in the region (be sure to reserve a room with a Montblanc-facing view) and exceptional service. Both dinner and breakfast were delightful experiences. The spa, complete with a sauna and hammam, was impeccably clean and inviting; a thoughtful touch is the tea provided in the relaxation area. Most importantly, the true standout is the exceptional care shown by the staff. Our heartfelt thanks to Mme Gabriele (the director) and the reception managers, Emma and Hayette, for upholding outstanding hospitality standards and ensuring every guest feels truly valued.

The room and the beds was very comfortable and nicely decorated with wood everywhere. The breakfast was the best we had in our trip with absolutely excellent quality and delicious local products. The view from the restaurant to Mont Blanc was fantastic. The half board option, with a la carte dinner that includes 3-4 options for every course plus some extra dishes every day, was great value for money. We would have only wished that the dinner portions were a bit larger as we had to order extra dishes at an additional charge every day. The stuff was super friendly and helpful. The parking at the facility is limited (although we found a slot both days), but there seem to be many free options right next to the hotel as well. Many beautiful hiking trails start at the Combloux skiing resort parking just 3-4 drive from the hotel. Overall an excellent option to relax away of all the hustle and bustle of Chamonix while being next to all the main highlights of the area.

restaurant service is very, very slow in the evenings, as personnel assignment seems inefficient - despite being many & very well intended they don't have fix table allocation, written notes get mixed up (orders come sub-optimal), etc the apartment could have 2 toilets

Gorgeous Hotel, small rooms but enough space for 2 people. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Small, but clean and functioning spa. Absolutely stunning view at the Mont-Blanc from the restaurant as well as from the hotel room we got from an upgrade they gave us. Dinner was delicious and plenty of choice. Breakfast was good.

The only downside is the location. You absolutely have to have a car in the summer, but it makes up for the view.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was a good buffet of fresh produce. The room was a good size and well equiped. Best of all was the service. All the staff were amazingly professional, friendly and attentive. Location was great for a family not looking for apres-ski. Next to a ski school, lift and rental shop. The hotel is not situated in the bigger mountains of Megeve which offer up to 400km of runs and mountains up to 2500m. It's 20 minutes away by car. Rather it is next to the smaller mountain of Combloux, which has 100km of runs and a highest peak of 2000m. I ski black runs comfortably and thought the smaller Combloux mountain would be an issue. However I found enough to ski for the 5 days, and it was perfect for my wife and 2 kids 8,9 yo. Unfortunately snow was terrible this year all over Europe and combloux was no exception, however I can see Combloux being great for easy off-piste skiing when it does get a good dump. There are plenty of nicely spaced trees and varied terrain.

The snow, but the most of Europe was suffering from unseasonally warm temperatures.

probably the best place to stay by far. very close to megeve and next door to the slopes. the views are stunning. waking up with a view to the sunrise behind the Montblanc is mesmerizing. the food is delicious. the breakfast buffet has many options with local produce. the view from breakfast area is like watching a high definition screen. Dinner is cosy and the place has a very warm atmosphere. the stuff is very friendly. Marina the F&B maitre was well informed and accommodating with all our needs. Melissa was very sweet. Kenneth was our man for drinks and cocktails. Elliott was very friendly and Rodrigo at the breakfast had a smile that made your day. thank you for the great memories and hope we visit you again.

there is nothing to not like. I would say its a five star chalet. very clean and the amenities smell wonderfully

Everything. By far our best hotel in France. Everything was excellent. From dinner to breakfast. We had the Mont Blanc view from our room. The staff most especially Eliz and Fliorian went above and beyond to make our stay worthwhile. Meant to stay just a night but extended it as we loved it so much. Couldn’t understand why the review is below 9 on bookings

There is no swimming pool

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous mountain Chalet! Recently completely rennovated, the rooms were modern, clean, and comfortbale, the bathrooms were upgraded, and everyone in our group 4 had rooms with incredible balconies that overlooked Mont Blanc! We especially loved hanging out in the lounge / lobby area and bplaying card games until late in the evening. the staff was incredibly attentive as well.

Their Sauna wasn't yet ready for visitors to use and we really wish they had a large sauna as well as an outdoor hottub. Now that the number of rooms they offer has doubled (at least), we hope the amenities can keep up. A hottub / spa would have made the stay PERFECT.

Extremely nice and cosy hotel with a great view and half-pension: both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Dinner menu was quite small but for two-night stay we could choose different courses for the two dinners. We also enjoyed hammam and sauna alone both evenings. Lots of hiking routes nearby, car needed to most of them to get to the starting points.
