The location was excellent, right in the centre of the town. Charles was very attentive to every detail and breakfast was a delight of fresh bread, croissants, home made jams and fresh fruit salad. The decor of the house and particularly the bedroom suite was outstanding, very chic and elegant. Fantastic view from the room, overlooking the park. It was the perfect location to visit the castle of William the Conqueror which was partly the reason for our visit.

There was nothing we didn't like. We couldn't have asked for a better overnight stay.

I have now stayed at Castel Saint-Leonard several times and if I was to return to Falaise, it would be essential to me to stay there again. The elegance and comfort of the building, the bedrooms and the bathrooms; the tasteful breakfast;the safe and secure parking and the friendliness and efficiency of the owner all combine to make this the perfect place for me.

I have stayed here before, which was why I booked Castel St L.eonard. For me, the accomodation is perfect. In the very centre of Falaise, with private parking for the car, it is a slice of old world luxury presided over by a perfect host. Superbly furnished, full of atmosphere, with true comfort and a very good breakfast.

- Our host was very welcoming, attentive and responsive! He was very accommodating to our needs. - The Castel itself is beautifully maintained & restored by the host. You really do experience a sense of being in a different time (French 18th century). - Breakfast was always on time, options are nutritious and delicious! - The room was charismatic, spacious and clean.

This property is the real thing with real history. The owner, Charles, was very knowledgeable, passionate about his home and understandably proud of it. He treated us as though he was pleased to have us as guests. A great room, bed, breakfast and a superb host. We’re on our third week of a 4 week tour of France and staying at 4-star or better. This was the best. We will be back to the area and will look forward to returning here for certain. Simply lovely!

Beautiful building with wonderful rooms, well decorated and furnished. The art around is excellent. The host is friendly and helpful and speaks good English. Breakfast was good, and in a beautiful setting. The music playing really added to the ambience. Highly recommend!

Entrance is a little tight! Take care with low cars.

Fascinating historical building with friendly and very informative host Charles, who coudl not have been more helpful, right in the centre of Falaise with all main attractions in walking distance. Super room, lovely bathroom, all beautifully decorated. Recommended place to stay! We will be back.

I very much enjoyed my stay. Falaise is a lovely and historically significant town that should be on everyone's list of stops in France, and I would certainly recommend staying with Charles at his fascinating property. It is comfortable, warm, excellently located and a treat to stay at. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished with lovely views and the addition of a little communal kitchen area with kettle, microwave and fridge is very helpful. Breakfast was also very nice, a continental selection served in a beautiful ante-room downstairs. Charles gave me some assistance with transport and made me aware of a bus that connects Falaise to Caen, which I had not known about and which was a great service. I will certainly be visiting Falaise again and look forward to staying at the Castel Saint Leonard in the future.
