Reception is a small desk as you enter and always someone available and friendly to welcome and answer queries. Security was good as access to lifts and stairs is only by door key card. The ground floor has a good bar and restaurant area and pizza catering services. Also many games available - Pool, table football; chess and much more. These were great to utilise in the evening on return from sight seeing. The pool area is clean and inviting. Shame the pool was not heated, but did manage to get in! The room we had was expected and we loved that there were plenty of plug sockets for charging phones etc. 7 min walk to the train station and 24 hour taxi services. 15 minute walk to the harbour and an array of places to eat. From the harbour you can book a trip out to Fort Boyard and Ile de Aix, which we did - fab excursion.

Perfect location, at 5 minutes walk from train station and 10 minutes walk from main hyper centre of La Rochelle. Staff all lovely and welcoming, even speaking in English when they didn’t need to at all! Bar open which I had a drink from, very pretty decor for a budget option hotel, with a nice terrace to enjoy the sunshine too. Pool open during the day which was fabulous. Room had everything you needed for a short stay, bed comfortable and whole place extremely clean. Water station by lifts too for cold water. Highly recommend hotel and will return on future trips to La Rochelle!

Nothing. Everything was perfect especially considering the price which was great value for money.

Excellent location near restaurants and good for dog walking. We parked on street the streets nearby rather than use the paid car park adjacent to the hotel. The hotel itself is really nicely laid out in the common areas - the bar and breakfast areas. Very imaginative and comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant and a nice welcome at check in. My sister was in a room with disabled facilities which was well set out. The beds were wet comfortable and the rooms warm.

Just one small issue with the shower in bathroom set out for disabled - the water runs off behind the toilet and not to the drain in the shower.

Great location, only 10-15 walk to port area and all that has to offer. Comfortable beds, great night's sleep was had. Spotlessly clean throughout. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pizza's!!

Wasn't keen on the buffet breakfast. Just found it a little chaotic and didn't think area was suited to this, as no set seating area. Could do with a handrail for getting in and out of the swimming pool.

This was our 3rd stay here. We always find it clean, with helpful friendly staff and the fact that it is an easy walk into La Rochelle and has safe easy parking is a bonus. They offer a good breakfast too. Even though the pool was not open, they are doing a lot of work to get it right for the summer season and it looks very nice. Great value stay and it won't be our last visit.

As expected from a Ibis hotel, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast choice very good. We had a problem with our car and one of the staff was very helpful with phone calls. She was much better than the International Insurance.

The breakfast was amazing but a bit pricey. Lots of choice but a bit difficult to serve yourself !?

We parked the car in the multi storey car park located next to hotel but was shocked at price of 25 Euro for one night.....

The room is with AC. We stayed there when it was 30 degree outside, and the room was so nice and cool and we slept through the night because of it. The pool was amazing. Location is close to the centre of La Rochelle.

Breakfast wasn’t that great. Should have more variety.

Location is great, it’s a 10 minute walk in to the centre of La Rochelle. The hotel facilities are good and the pool is nice.

Room was very small and basic, this didn’t really matter to us as we didn’t spend a lot of time in it
