Very clean. Good value. Pet dog was made welcome. Good place to stop while travelling.

We arrived late very tired. It would have been nice if they’d have had some snack food - toasted sandwich / pizza, anything that would have meant we didn’t!5 have to go out again. We were very lucky to get the last parking but it would have been a disaster if we missed out as our car was full. Perhaps offer a reserved space for a small fee as a guarantee of a car parking space?

This hotel is ideally situated for those wishing to stop overnight in Le Mans and wishing to spend 2-3 hours walking around the historic centre. For those seeking an easier access, the tram is 2 minutes away. Every individual from the moment you arrive is intent upon providing a service with a smile. The room itself was comfortable and spacious and well appointed. The whole hotel has been recently redecorated throughout and gives a fresh and contemporary feel, in cotrast to the external build.

being in the centre of town access is complicated and whilst there is parking available , this may not prove sufficient when full. Would commend an early arrival. Note also that only breakfast is available at the Hotel. many retaurants are available within 10 minutes walk.

The hotel was easily found and has free parking. The welcome was friendly and we had a very nice clean and contemporary room with a very comfortable bed. the hotel is very central for accessing the town with many restaurants and sights close by. As we were only staying one night it was great to be able to use the time to see Le Mann. The breakfast was buffet self service

The breakfast could have had a little more choice, everything was in small packs etc. rather than any fresh stuff, but there was sufficient

The staff were amazing - the young man on the front desk when I arrived (after 10pm) pointed me in the direction of where to get something to eat and was generally very helpful and friendly. The next morning, the woman on reception was really helpful in pointing out how to get to the cathedral and telling me about the market that was on. Both spoke impeccable English. They also allowed me to leave my car there during the day while I explored the town.

The bed wasn't very comfortable - some sort of thin(ish) foam mattress that dipped significantly in the middle. But not unexpected at a budget hotel and not the end of the world. And whilst the room and bathroom were very clean, the duvet cover definitely had something crusty on it that led me to turn it over and sleep under the cleaner side. It had been washed, just not checked I think.

Good location close to the centre of Le Mans, to the railway station and other transport links like the trams. Staff were helpful and recommended an excellent local restaurant. Room was large and clutter free. There was ample free parking included but on a first come first served basis.

Room was a little cold as the window had long curtains which covered the radiator. We solved this by closing the shutter and opening the curtains once it got dark. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and we only had one set of towels. I am sure we could have had more but didn't realise until stepping out of the shower.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, with the property only being a 10 minute walk into central Le Mans. Small carpark off the street which is a godsend in a city central hotel..

The decoration in the room was a little dated, but to be honest I was coming back to the hotel after a whole days motorcycle riding it was fine. The bathroom and bed were perfect for getting back, showering and then heading out for food.

The property is in a great location, and surprisingly quiet for a central homely. The hotel has on site parking and is run by a lovely team who are keen to ensure your stay is a success. There is a lounge where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a small terrace where you can relax after a day’s sightseeing. The breakfasts are also really good, with lots of choice to enjoy a good start to your day.

There is nothing to dislike in this hotel - I think the hotel may be under renovation as some areas are more modern than others, but it is a well designed hotel and is in a great location.

The room was spacious and very clean on the ground floor. As we had a dog we were pleased to have our own exit directly from our room so that it wasn’t necessary to walk through the lobby every time. Very accommodating English-speaking lady at reception who gave us tips about restaurants etc. We would otherwise never have found the fabulous little restaurant in the old town. It‘s only a short walk to the old town but well worth it. You think you‘re in another place! After several disappointing stays in other hotels en route we were more than happy with our night at the Originals City in Le Mans.

The location was good - if I had, had a companion would have explored the city. Room was clean, simple but perfectly adequate. Lovely lady organised some dinner for me, but it took a while to understand the system. My little dog was made most welcome in all areas of the hotel.

A little tricky to find -sat nav struggled a bit. Great there was a car park but it was a little tight. Had my little dog with me - she's a bit of a princess and likes a blade or 2 of grass for her ablutions. Never known a city to have so little grass. A small grassy patch would be great.

We frequently tour using motorcycle or car and look for convenient overnight stops within a certain budget range. These are generally on the outer limits of towns often within industrial complexes, they are generally adequate. However the Chantecler proved exceptional, providing interesting and spotless accommodation in the town providing interesting location to explore on foot.
