A beautiful location in a stunning setting. Loved the pool, felt like going back in time 30 years. Loved the Chateau. So nice to be given an opportunity to stay in such a traditional building The food at The Tomato Bar was delicious. The menu was limited but this added to the charm. Would recommend this hotel

The rooms were very hot. Air conditioning is not really practical but additional fans would be good. Tea making facilities and a mini bar in the room would be welcomed No bar at the hotel despite the lovely public areas. It's possible to get a drink but a bar would give a more sociable atmosphere. The hotel is extremely quiet and we prefer a bit more of a buzz.

Fabulous Chateau experience. The rooms are fine. But what makes this place special is the environs and opportunity to stay in a Chateau. Lovely walking/running tracks laid out in the grounds, nice (unheated) pool, and the whole tomato garden experience and tomato bar, with added dahlias, was superb. No food available on Monday night, but the hotel staff arranged a reservation for us at a lovely restaurant close by. Great pressure in the shower. Plenty of character. Pool towels available. Our second stay here, and we booked the current trip to make sure we could visit: we weren't disappointed.

Hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren. There is a rather creepy lift you can take, but stairs could be a problem for some. The tennis court needs a power wash. It is an older character property, so the "style " might not suit everyone. We paid on a Getaway deal with a Booking.com genius discount: I feel without that it would have been expensive for a three star hotel if you weren't interested in the other amenities around the property.

Beautiful domain and castle, we particularly enjoyed the drawing room and the tomato and vegetable garden. Very tasty, homey, and budget-priced dinner.

Even though the dinner is available only for the guests of the castle, somehow they don't have the capacity to accommodate everybody?! When we arrived, we were told that dinner is fully booked. We were able to join in the end because somebody cancelled, but when we went there, there were other tables available. Pretty strange... It's best to eserve a table for dinner in advance, since there aren't any other alternatives nearby.

The room was elegant with a huge bathroom with shower and claw footed tub. They had on site cook and waitstaff which was convenient. Grounds were lovely. Building was beautiful.

The dinner meals were not that exciting and were limited in quantity and quality. The staff was wonderful and we appreciated their enthusiasm. Breakfast was standard continental. Unfortunately not many food options so you had to eat out before you went back to the chateau or eat what three course meal they had that day. I’d say limited food options were the main drawback.

Continental breakfast was great. Rooms are very large with large bathrooms. No AC but large windows to open. The male concierge/manager was VERY nice and helpful. The woman was rude and was not helpful. But if you can speak to the man (I don’t have his name) he will help get taxis and restaurants. She made us feel like we were an inconvenience and didn’t help us. The grounds are amazing and is stay again.

Far from trains so taxis are very expensive. The daytime receptionist was not kind and was very rude to us. No AC so make sure your nights are still cool otherwise it would be very hot.

This property exceeded our expectations, the bedrooms were beautiful whilst retaining character feature and proving a modern bathroom. I love the material on the walls & beautifully curtains. We have a balcony and a gorgeous sunset view. The rooms in the castle and the grounds are everything you hope for in a chateau. The staff were welcoming & friendly. I highly recommend staying here.

I thought the breakfast was over priced and would have preferred a buffet style.

Stunning property and a charming room in the old coach house building. The chateau and the grounds are beautiful to explore and the tomato garden a delightful surprise. The room was very nicely furnished and decorated, comfy bed and large bathroom. A good quality breakfast served in grand surroundings in the chateau. Really enjoyed the stay.

The WiFi was so slow as to be almost unusable. Would have preferred a shower in the bathroom

Gorgeous and very charming property, big and comfortable room, very helpful and friendly staff (were so nice and shipped an item that I left behind). Also loved that they had extra activity for the kids - trail to find the little prince - which was a very nice way to explore the surroundings.

Dinner! There is no proper kitchen and we received microwaved food that was dry and tasteless. If you can, have your dinner somewhere else. We didn’t take breakfast, so can’t comment on that.

We stood in the Château during our small tour via Loire Valley. It was extremally rainy April, this day we didn`t manage to see outside part the Château de Chenonceau and arrived to the hotel frozen and disappointed. But as soon as we arrived rain finally stopped and we had opportunity to explore outside part Château De La Bourdaisière, with it`s amazing garden, hidden dungeon, meadow and forest with interesting installations. Then we had dinner in the beautiful dining room and plaid table games in absolutely outstanding living room from the previous ages with beautiful music and unique atmosphere. So, actually Château De La Bourdaisière finally did our main impressions from Loire Valley! We loved this place and highly recommend adding it as charry on the cake to your Loire Valley adventure. It was the place where we really felt the spirit of this area.

Don`t expect some haute cuisine during the dinner! food which was served for us (we didn`t have choice actually, just fixed menu) was very simple and service was slightly rude... but actually like in Middle Ages. :) So we decided that this is part of the era vibe :)

The setting and surroundings were stunning, there was so much to discover and learn about within the chateaus grounds. The woods were the perfect place for walks and so peaceful. The swimming pool was fabulous & staff were helpful and gracious.

Having no coffee/tea facilities within the room. We were there for a 4 night stay and having to pay for a cup of coffee every time we wanted one felt excessive. The room (although very lovely and large & clean ) was a bit tired. The food in the restaurant could be improved.
