The location was quiet and a 10 to 15-minute walk to the town centre. The bed was comfortable enabling us to get a good night's sleep. Wifi was good when accessed through a mobile phone (strangely, it failed to work via a laptop).

We were the only guests so there was little buzz to the premises. The indoor pool meant the interior of the building possessed an aroma of chlorine. Our room was rather cluttered and could have done with better cleaning. Breakfast was adequate, rather than imaginative and tasty. There was a nice garden, but beware the mosquitoes.

This was the most beautiful, calming, and charming place we have ever stayed. The atrium is full of plants, trees, and unique pieces of art. Cozy seating areas surround the pool. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff, Elodie and the receptionist, are outstanding: helpful, friendly and fun. Breakfast, offering many choices, was delicious. Excellent location - easy walk into the heart of old Narbonne. Our experience was so wonderful we didn’t want to leave this lovely oasis.

Loved it all!

We really loved the breakfast which was exceptionally generous - home-made yoghurt and pancakes along with pastries and fresh bread. We also liked the garden and surroundings of the hotel, which felt very Mediterranean. It was an easy walk into Narbonne along the canal. It was quite fun to have an indoor pool too - we used it one one of the cooler days. We didn't try the hot-tub but it looked good. The hotel staff were very efficient at cleaning the room too.

Our bedroom was lovely and the aircon very welcome! Breakfast in the morning was amazing, especially loved the pancakes and the yoghurt. The whole hotel is amazing, like staying in a massive greenhouse. We very much enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub and enjoyed sitting outside in the evening in the garden. Would highly recommend this hotel, can be a little difficult to find at first but the staff were fantastic and met us there and showed us in. Whilst the area may seem a little rough when you first get there it isn't at all and is an excellent location for exploring the city centre. We will definitely stay here if we return to Narbonne!

Once inside the gates, the garden and premises were lovely. The rooms were accessed over 'Japanese' style water gardens and bridges and the rooms themselves very well appointed with comfortable beds & wet room showers. Breakfasts with freshly made pancakes were delicious

The surrounding area was a bit grotty & the neighbours were noisy during the day Mosquitos

Very comfortable small boutique run by Elodie who was very efficient and prepared a nice breakfast each day. A nice 15 min walk into the main area. We enjoyed our stay, nice and quiet and easy walk from train station I recommend this property

All suited our requirements

Another hidden gem that you would not see until you go through the gate! Loved the decor; many pieces of art; individually decorated rooms. Beautiful garden where we could relax. Staff were super helpful. Elodie made us dinner reservations at a wonderful French restaurant that we would never have found on our own. Location was perfect, with an easy walk to the center of Narbonne. First place on our trip where we got daily room service! The pool was an extra bonus because the weather was so hot. Air conditioning in our room was awesome.

Same as other reviews, it was a little tricky to find. GPS did find Allee Ambrosia, and if you watch for signs you will see Quai de Lorraine. Elodie wanted a text just prior to arrival, but I wasn't able to do that, so connecting to check-in was a little tricky. Fortunately a neighbor helped us.

At first we were skeptical about this funky little hotel. The location behind 2 locked gates was a bit intimidating. But after we were met by incredibly charming Elodie we were won over! She took care of us in every way and we grew to appreciate this lovely, if a bit quirky hotel. The owner must have connections to Morocco because it felt very much like a riad. The rooms are very small but quite comfortable. The public spaces included all sorts of seating areas, and a lovely small pool inside. Breakfast, prepared by Elodie, was ample and included homemade crepes.

The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk into the main part of Narbonne. The neighborhood isn’t very attractive, but it seemed safe to walk. The owner clearly feels it’s necessary to have two large gates and we appreciated the sense of security.

Brilliant Hotel with a huge attention for details which creates a cosy atmosphere. I am guessing the real origin of Hygge style is the Villa Ambrosia. Both Elodies are super nice and guest oriented 6 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐out of 5

Nothing to complain at all

This is a very singular, perhaps a bit funky but charming place, a far cry from a typical hotel. The owners collection of art work, plants and brocante make it seem more like a home than a hotel. The breakfast is excellent. If you are coming by car, GPS may only get you so far. The "Impasse" is at a sharp angle off the Quai. Thwere is a small area of public parking with small spaces. You might be able to get a space inside ":the gate", but check ahead. If you are so inclined, there is a large indoor pool.
