A beautiful chateau with the most breathtaking views from the bedroom of the Languedoc countryside. Our room was nicely decorated with a wonderful ensuite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was divine. Breakfast out on the terrace in the morning was good and very relaxing.

Dinner in the evening, which we had booked well in advance, was a bit disappointing. We were told that everyone was having the same menu, there wasn't a choice, and this wasn't written down for us to view. The next day we discovered the menu was 70 euros per person. The food was good and there was a lovely live jazz band, but it would have been nice to have a choice and clarity on cost.

lovely château beautifully kept and decorated with fabulous grounds and loads of potential. Rooms well excellent and well catered. Breakfast was good. Desert was excellent.

While the service at dinner was good and the surroundings are very nice the food should be better and have more choice.The man who checked us in on arrival was under pressure with a group of people arriving and ignored us for quite a while even though we had arrived before the group. After he returned from dealing with them he still ignored us for a long time . I found his attitude very poor but would blame a lack of training on this.It appeared that a lot of the staff ,while very pleasant,had no idea what they should be doing and needed some leadership and direction.It’s a pity as the surroundings are so nice and have such potential.

Amazing property and gardens. We stayed in the Annex building, which gave a lesser "castle" experience, so I would recommend to book a room in the castle itself. The Gardens and outside premises are amazing.

The annex building has "inside" doors as entrance doors to the rooms, so when there's sound in the hallyway, it can be heard in the room. We also had a connecting room, so sounds from the other rooms, like an alarm are easily heard.

Signage is absolutely non-existent in a hotel where you can't find the entrance or reception, and the few signs are confusing. Guests need several minutes to find out where to enter and where the reception is. When we finally arrived, other people also called because no one could find the reception.

This might have been my favorite spot I stayed in France. Not necessarily for the room but the property grounds, they are incredible. 15 hectares of gardens, fields, pool, paths- it was truly magical. It really felt like staying in a castle, with such beautiful care taken of the grounds. I enjoyed a stroll in the evening around the property and was in awe. Pool is great as well! Restaurant is good, not the best I’ve eaten but great for your stay to have convenient food thoughtfully prepared. Bedding was ok, but other than that room was more than comfortable and had controlled air. Would recommend this spot hands down!

Wi-Fi can be a bit tricky in different parts of property but worked relatively ok in main spots.

The bedrooms were really comfortable, as were the beds, and they had air-conditioning! The restaurant served delicious food and we really liked walking around the grounds and hanging out at the pool. Having had quite a busy start to our holiday, we just relaxed and really rested at Chateau de Pondres! Also, the breakfasts were delicious!

There was nothing we did not like.

Charging €4,50 for a tea bag ….. terrible We didn’t like the tea left in our room and asked if we could have a green tea bag instead. We were provided with TWO and charged €9. Left a bad taste in what was a good stay. A one or two star hotel give room tea/coffee complimentary… maybe this 4 star hotel could learn something from that,

The hotel is very nice and cozy with a beautiful garden and surroundings. Staff is kind and helpful . The hotel has a sauna and hammam where you can relax, but you need to book in advance. We didn't expect a lot from restaurant , but we've been surprised. The menu is small but we really enjoyed the food we had, especially the duck and the local wine list. The hotel is great for visiting nearby small towns and wineries.

Location and ambiance is amazing. The chateau is beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The pool area was particularly stunning.

We were quite disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed on Monday nights - particularly as we had only booked one night. We had to drive to the local town which was lovely but we didn’t want to leave the Château ideally.

Beautiful, both the castle and grounds have so much charm. Our 3rd time visiting; staff always exceptionally nice and hospitable, local wines and food delicious. Love strolling through the garden/woods (and seeing my favourite fluffy cat whom I’ve nicknamed Cloud Cat). We had 3 dinners there; the first dinner we had, on a Friday night, was probably one of the best meals I’ve _ever_ had (with the most insanely delicious passionfruit mousse / macaron thing ever, sweet jesus), and factoring in the price point, was truly an unexpected and exceptional surprise. 2nd two dinners were still good but then closer to what I’d expect for a 32eur meal. We’ve traveled quite extensively through Europe and Chateau de Pondres remains a standout experience, esp re value for money. Thank you for absolutely everything :)
