All good. We've stayed here before and knew what to expect. The rooms are simple/basic, but clean and comfortable. The real plus factor is Pierre, the owner, he is such a nice man. A great chef, a lovely host who cannot do enough for you, and so helpful. The town of St. Flour is a lovely, safe place and the hotel reflects this.

As previous reviews have mentioned...access to the rooms is awkward, via a winding staircase.

Fabulous location (beautiful small town and this hotel is very central). Good value for money. The owner offered me his private garage to store my motorbike overnight. Dinner service was good and lovely food. Very clean, comfy bed and big bathroom.

Access to the room is up an old spiral staircase, which is wonderfully quirky but really awkward with heavy bags. The room smelled of damp but was spotlessly clean.

The location was beautiful and easy to find - the owner could not have been more friendly, helpful and was very good company. I would definitely stay there again. Also, did food and drink on the premises!

Nothing. I am 71 & relatively fit, but someone more infirm might struggle with the ( spiral staircase) access to bedrooms.

hotel room was clean, tidy and comfortable. we were in room 2 - a very good size. staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. we also ate in the hotel's restaurant on the evening of our stay and the food was excellent. the chef apologised for the time it took for our meal - he didn't have to - as he wanted to make sure the meal was perfect - and it was!! breakfast was excellent in terms of both what was offered and price.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful and scenic site at the base of the castle town of St. Flour. The exterior was medieval and the interior was modern and felt like home. Peter (Pierre) was an excellent chef and caretaker.

I like the relaxed atmosphere.I like that I can take my dog.It is a charming building.THe bed is comfortable and the view is great.The staff are friendly

Think we found a proper little gem. Comfy bed, very clean room, breakfast was a lovely continental one everything lovely and fresh.Pierre the host was exceptional nothing was too much trouble for him.
