Nice hotel in Thouars. Perfect for a short stay or pit-stop. The area is lovely and it's close to the centre. Staff is very friendy, receptionist carried my suitcase up the stairs. The restaurant is the best of the entire area. Do not look further but stay for dinner and lunch, you will be suprised.
Value for money..The hotel rooms are old and need renovation. For one night it is perfect.

For our 1 night stay the hotel was very good, ample parking, friendly staff, comfortable room. The dinner was fabulous, no wonder the restaurant was full. Superb food and very reasonably priced, served by excellent and attentive staff.

restaurant closed on Mondays and only found this out after booking. 20 minutes walk to town and not much else open there! bar area nice but everything locked up by 8.30pm

Very quiet room. Basic, clean and comfortable.
The restaurant was closed on the day of our visit which was disappointing, as it has very good reviews. However we understand that people need days off so that's ok. However, this hotel is out of town a bit and staff could not provide a basic map to get to the centre of town on foot nor a list of options for eating on the night they are regularly closed. As tired cyclists we had to do research, which proved inaccurate and then roam the town, eventually having some take away pasta which was remarkable for being the worst food we ate in France. Other guests - also cyclist -ordered a pizza for delivery but it never came. The hotel is unstaffed after about 8 pm so no help there. They ended up firing up their camping stove in the parking lot at about 9 pm. So maybe their meal was worse. Anyway this hotel could do a much better job of anticipating its guests needs.
