Well located on main road and immediately behind the ancient heart of the town. Very well equipped. We had a disability room at rear and it was very quiet. Quality of decor/fittings was good though design/coordination could have done with more thought. The bathroom looked beautiful with real marble tiling and sick new fittings, but the floor flooded when using the shower. Breakfast very good. Very good secure car park across the road (free). Staff very helpful. We ate out in the old town.

We couldn't find a switch to turn off the lobby light, in the end we killed the electricity by removing the key card, but then a sensor would turn the light on automatically when we went to the bathroom in the night. Maybe we missed the instructions!

Tournus is the perfect place to stop midway through France. A beautiful small town and only a few minutes from the motorway. This is a great hotel with friendly staff, an excellent restaurant and a wine list to suit all budgets. I would have loved to try the one which cost €3200 a bottle. Maybe in another life :-)

The only negative for me is quite a big one. If, like me, you do not like air conditioning and prefer the windows open, it is on a very busy road and opposite a high speed train line. It is very noisy. With the windows closed, the noise is greatly reduced to normal levels. If it is a problem for you, ask for a room at the back. If you are happy with the air conditioning and the windows closed there is no problem. Having made that negative point, it its an excellent hotel and will now be my preferred stop while driving through France.

It was very comfortable, and the excellent double glazing meant the room was perfectly tranquil despite the hotel’s position on the quite busy road thro’ Tournus. Moreover, as I arrived late the staff in Le Pub prepared a nice plateau of cheese & charcuterie, and a glass of wine - much appreciated 🙏

The design of the WC in my bathroom ( room in 2nd floor ? ) was ridiculous - the door opened the wrong way, and served very little purpose as was only part ‘saloon’ style door - a mad bit of design !

The room was comfortable, quiet and spotless and the hotel had a general feel of quality about it. The staff were very helpful in getting our car securely parked and able to use their overnight EV charging. It just took our anxiety away from having to charge the following day. The restaurant was very good, we had to book but the hotel took care of this. I would thoroughly recommend

it is very good value for money. Boon dinner at the restaurant, it’s delicious. There is free secure parking across the street. the rooms are quiet even on the main road, but not sure you I can open the window, so the air con is super good. the bar is really nice. there is no terrace for dinner but the roof opens. you can easily walk down to the village for shops and cafes. the reception staff are so friendly and accommodating.

The hotel was just a five minute walk from the station and only about 3 minutes from the wonderful Abbey Church and the Office de Tourisme. Like most of the hotels in Tournus, it lies on a busy road. So a room at the back is distinctly preferable. The room itself was excellent - spacious and tastefully furnished. I enjoyed eating in the Brasserie. Notably good-quality wines by the glass. Staff at reception and in the Brasserie were very pleasant.

I found the A/C very chilly. Did without on one night but traffic noise excessive with window open. Second night found the A/C impossible to control so slept wearing a pullover. One other negative - at breakfast the hot water dispenser for my tea provided a very lukewarm supply at 9.00am but was at proper temperature at 7.30 the next day!

Breakfast was good. Nice selection of items. I particularly enjoyed the scrambled eggs & bacon with my croissant and the honey off the comb to go with my yogurt. Coffee was from a machine. The cappuccino benefitted from an extra shot of expresso but no problem. The breakfast dining room was very pleasant

Central and easy to find ..parking opposite the building has been updated and is now secure..brilliant. Staff are so welcoming and helpful..the ‘pub’ bar is great and breakfast was superb.

We actually love staying here..if I could find anything to improve it would just be the corners of the sealant of the shower could be bleached.

Very convenient for motorway overnight stopover. comfortable quiet room. Excellent restaurant for dinner, good value high quality menu du jour, good breakfast too. Parking just over the road. Tournus is a pretty town to stroll around.

Room in newer wing was a bit of a walk but that did not bother us, it was reasonably large and quiet.

Our room was a bit to warm for our taste and lowering the thermostat didn’t make much difference. Opening the window was not an option as we were on the first floor facing a noisy street.
