Lovely setting, well kept hotel. Room was basic but very functional and clean. No aircon in our room, but a fan was provided which was sufficient even with temperatures hitting 38c during the day. Other rooms do have aircon. Restaurant on site was very good. "Burger de Chef" is recommended (Duck rather than the usual beef!) Nice pool area is across the road.

parking is a little distance away (c. 200m up or down hill) - this wasn't an issue for us at all, but might be worth noting for someone with mobility issues. Although you can pull in outside to drop bags.

The location is absolutely stunning and the staff were friendly and helpful. We opted to have breakfast in the hotel and not only was it a superb simple spread with regional delights (local fresh juices and jams) but it was such a beautiful spot to eat brekkie or have a glass of wine in the evening. We also had dinner in the restaurant connected to the hotel. Wow. Incredible food, service and setting in an open air courtyard in the heart of the old city. We have young kids and felt anxious about their noise but the staff were friendly and supportive, and we could duck out of the hotel in between courses to play near the fountain to keep them busy! Room simply but comfortable and lovely in its location and sensitive renovation from a mediaeval lodging. Plus pool marvellous.

Beautiful hotel in the medieval part of Vaison. The view from the bar terrace is spectacular. Upon request we had one dinner there instead of in the restaurant (which has a terrace in an open space inside the hotel). The food is good, but rather expensive compared to other places. The room was spacious, and had a small kitchenette. Small but nice pool.

The pool beds are old, some already broken, and the cushions were not clean. The breakfast is very simple.

If your room overlooks the courtyard restarant, you may find it a little noisy at mealtimes. There are a lot of steps when getting round the building.

Stayed there with Nicholas O'Connell's Writer's Workshop. What a great venue for that occasion! We enjoyed meeting by the pool or on the front patio, enjoying the view. We had several delicious meals at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed the breakfast each day.

The position is marvellous and the staff are friendly.

I think that the pool area need more sweeping and attention generally - costumes left lying about etc. But it was a nice pool.

romantic. beautiful. great friendly warm staff. great dinner place with BBQ. close to city center - we walked 10 min - yet in the hill of the castle. we’d be back!

I’d change the room’s door’s automatics closure spring to a much lighter one. and I’d add a soap holder somewhere inside the shower. that’s it. don’t change anything else :)

Great location in the middle of the quiet medieval section. The pool was really nice in order to cool off in the hot middle of the day. Staff were friendly, we were able to check in 1.5hrs early even. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Parking was difficult in the area around the hotel.
