Great location- right in the centre of the old town, the main reason to book in my opinion. Rooms were a good size and included a 50inch tv and usb points etc. The bathroom was large and nicely specced too. There was a pool and spa, which we didn't use.. having to wear a swim cap even in the sauna was bizarre for a four star hotel! Staff were friendly, the guy that checked us in spoke excellent English although we didn't expect him to.

The Bokal restaurant which was attached to the hotel.. you select the food you want in little pots and then microwave them? I think this works fine in an ibis budget or similar, but we preferred to go out and eat in a little restaurant 500m away which would have been a more suitable hotel like dining experience.

THIS IS THE CREME-DE-LA-CREME OF HOTELS. First and foremost: The staff behind the reception desk are all super nice, friendly, service minded and helpful. Their smiles made my day again and again. Same goes for the restaurant and breakfast area. They all speak English perfectly. The hotel is gorgeous and brand spanking new. Very taste full decorated. My room was huge, clean and most importantly: cool. It was pretty hot during my stay. The air conditioning (Daikin) was silent and effective. There are plenty of mains outlets. The shower is huge and bath tub is nice to have (I didn't use it though). The pool is gorgious, although it could be 2-3 degrees cooler during summer. There is even an adjacent terrace for sunbathing. All in all this is probably my longest review ever but WELL DESERVED...! I will absolutely come back May next year.

What could have been better...? Totally NOTHING...!

Great location in the city. Private hotel car park not far from hotel near the station. Rooms were large and next door to each other ground floor (think they were disabled friendly rooms). Helpful staff and kettle in the rooms. We arrived late afternoon and didn't realise there is a stunning medieval chateax to visit here. Loved the cobbled streets location.

No hair conditioner available. No tea, only instant coffee available. Small things which we brought with us, so we still enjoyed our stay.

I stayed in this hotel quite a few times even during Covid. I love the restaurant and breakfast. It is a great location, amazing city and area to visit, exercise and/or meet team and customers. The Magic is well located and staffed with a very nice and professional team! I can only thank the owners!

Wonderful location in the centre of town the old town of Vitre. Extremely comfortable bed. Lovely friendly staff. We were allocated a room to store and charge our bikes.

Liked the wide choice at breakfast, spacious room and attentive staff members. Restaurant was good, a novel approach and the dishes were well conceived. Very good overall

The spa was a bonus but pool a bit hard to access for older people and perhaps a few more sun loungers?

The location next to the castle and old town is excellent. Our room was modern and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helped store our cycles. We would definitely stay here again.

Good room, clean, spacious, good/comfy large bed, great shower. Good breakfast. Very good location, and we used the indoor pool which was great. Small bar in hotel foyer (but sadly we did not see anybody using it)

The corridors leading to the rooms on all floors needed a good hoovering. Lots of dust etc at the edges of carpet, let the place down a bit. The restaurant menu was restricted to set meals and looked as if most of the main courses were in pre-cooked jars. Done with flair and I suppose with a very talented chef, but this was not what we wanted to see or how to eat. We chose to eat out and lots of good local choices to be had.

The location was excellent - probably the best located hotel in Vitré - especially so as the secure parking was just across the road at the station. Our main delight at this hotel was the staff who were all very welcoming, helpful and good humoured.

Nice facilities and rooms, including the pool. staff very friendly. breakfast was good.
