The Royal Tahitien exceeded my expectations. We had a huge, comfortable, very clean room with good A/C and a pleasant view of the gardens and a private patio. Excellent value for dollar. I did not try the restaurant but I thought the menu was excellent. Hanging out by the pool was pleasant. I would stay here again.

We checked in late at night after using booking.com to get the room. The desk clerk checked the person just before us in very quickly but had a lot of trouble figuring out how to check in someone who used a third party service. She had to make a phone call and even then it took her over half an hour to get us checked in. The pool looked a little murky also. Other than this, I have no complaints. This is a very good value for Tahiti; our room was large and very clean and comfy; the staff were friendly; the grounds are pretty.

I’m giving this a five star review in the context of this being a three star hotel but is really bordering on being a four star. It’s in amazing location with plenty of car parking space, in fact you can park in front of your apartments and has everything you need for a nice stay in a well priced (relatively as everything in Tahiti is expensive) resort with a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and exclusive access to a beach (which is a one minute walk from here). The staff were helpful and the best thing was that this is only a 30 minute walk to the centre of Papeete and there are various buses on the main road. I would recommend!

The new pool is beautiful! Grounds were well kept, room was simply decorated, very clean and the extra large bed with all white bedding was very comfortable, clean and fresh! It was a short walk to get some amenities for our room, and staff was very helpful when we had questions. Beach was easily accessible and the restaurant /bar was extremely large to accommodate large groups and had a stunning view of the ocean no matter where you sat!! An enjoyable stay!!

I booked this hotel as it stated in the amenities section that the hotel offered an airport shuttle. There was no indication that this was and extra cost. To our surprise we had to book a cab. Thankfully we had some local currency left as the cabs do not take anything but cash!! This was an unexpected and disappointing glitch. It would be a suggestion to indicate in the hotel’s description that this facility is not the best choice should someone have a disability, as this may not be the facility to stay at. There are rooms on a second floor and there are no elevators, however there are rooms on ground level. It would be recommended that when booking this hotel, a customer with disabilities be clear that they would need a ground level unit.

beautiful place, gardens , swimming pool, rooms all very nice and comfortable. The restaurant has a view of the ocean and offers inside and outside seating. The hotel offers day passes and also was very accommodating when we arrived earlier and departed late. We could shower, use the pool and store our bags very easily

The restaurant had very loud music until late at night. Also there are so many birds eating out of the tables even while we are still using them that you had to cover your food when you leave the table to go to the buffet. Also the beach in front of the hotel is not that very nice.

We stayed one night before taking the ferry to Moorea. The location was perfect, staff incredibly welcoming, room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I asked for and received 3 rooms near each other for our party of 8.

Really minor- we arrived after dark and when looking for our place, it was hard to see the numbers on the door. (Had to stop the car and run up to the door to see). I didn’t ask for ground floor and should have. No elevator.

Old world charm. The grounds are lovely with all the trees and bushes. The buildings are positioned so everyone has a view but from your patio you don't see into anyone else's room. Pool was very nice.

Sliding glass door was very very hard to open to get onto the patio. The waterfalls at the pool no longer work.

Great little pool, room and beds were comfortable. Restaurant was good. Location on the beach was very nice and the grounds were lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated help with my bag as I'd had to replace my luggage during my trip and could only get something without wheels.

The only disappointing thing in an great visit was the airconditioning. The remote didn't seem to affect the AC unit as we were unable to lower the temperature or increase the fan dispite the assistance from staff. But grateful to have at least some coolness in the room

the room with the terrasse outside. The size of the room which is above average. the restaurant overlooking the beach. Food was very good.

The noise done by room upstairs where people were pulling the chairs. I would suggest to put some self-adhesive patches under the chair legs, so when people are moving the chairs, it does make any noise on the floor tiles for the people underneath.

We very much appreciated the restaurant on-site and the wonderful staff there. Both evenings there was live music and during the day it was nice to enjoy their oceanside location. We had an 11 am check out but the front desk held our luggage while we stayed on the property until we had a van pick us up about 5:30 pm. Much better than hours in the airport. The Grounds were SO Pretty. The Front Desk staff was Super accomodating as well.

When we first got there we were pointed toward our room and dragged our luggage across the grounds - not sure if there was no cart available or we just should have asked. The room was musty and humid and we were honestly not too impressed! HOWEVER, once that A/C kicked in everything was fine. Room had some upgrades, floors/wall and bathroom but was a little tired. Bed was awesomely comfortable. Only 2 towels, no hand towels or washcloths (again not important enough to call and request them). All in all we were happy with our stay!

clean and comfortable. Large rooms and patios. nice restaurant. I liked that it wasn’t so “touristy”. Had a good “Tahitien” feel to it.

The rooms and bathrooms could be updated and modernized. Room not ready at check-in. The beach was less than expected. Not much Beach. Unsightly retaining wall. No beach chairs. But it was a clean beach with lots of friendly locals.
