It was convenient for our purpose. The breakfast buffet was decent.

I found the stay to be poor value for money and that for me many things should be improved, especially for the price. In my opinion the hotel is outdated and in need of a renovation. In my experience it did not live up to the expectations set in the advertisement. I was charged automatically for a parking space while I didn't have a vehicle. The receptionist seemed more interested in arguing with me that I should have told her that I didn't have a car than refunding it. The computer was then not working and asked me to speak to her the next day. In the end I didn't have time and at check out there was no staff to talk to just a box for the keys. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the room and only a bottle of water with a price tag!! I could not believe this for a hotel of any price range, let alone here. So it was only possible to get refreshments during the breakfast buffet. It is advertised that there are sockets next to the bed. The only sockets in the room had lamps plugged in so I had to decide between being able to use lamps or charge my phone etc. I was surprised by this due to the advert and also my general expectations in these modern times. The hotel advertises WiFi avaliability in all areas. However from our group of 6 rooms I was the only one able to use the WiFi in my room. There is no network connection so coordination with our group was tricky. Overall I found the stay disappointing, poor value for money and that the hotel looks for ways to add additional charges to guests rather than providing what I would expect to be included at price points also below the price point here.

Hotel rejected to provide breakfast before 8:00 although it was included in the price - payed. I even offered to exchange breakfast for dinner, with additional payment from us. The receptionist was rude. I realky believe this was becouse of our origin (non german).

We arrived at 18:00hrs on a cold, snowy, winter Sunday. Met by the most rude and miserable woman, who refused to speak in English, (despite the hotel claim that they speak English). Wanted to go through every detail of booking in, even though my wife made it clear she wanted the toilet. Worst of all, when we wanted to eat in the restaurant she said 'It was fully booked'. In fact not so, it was only half occupied. Then walked away. That time on a winter Sunday there were no alternative places to eat. In fact, we found out next morning that it was a buffet (not a la carte), so a bit of initiative could easily have found room for an extra couple. Nowhere on the website did it say that advance booking was essential. That woman was totally unsuited to be left in charge, and the management should have taken more care to ensure that their employee was capable of doing the job. Then, just to make matters worse, the 'double bed' we had booked turned out to be two singles pushed together. Next morning we complained to a nice gentleman on reception, who gave us a free drink, but the damage was already done. If he had offered some kind of refund for pain and suffering of no evening meal, perhaps a bit better... So, folks, if you want this kind of disgraceful service, book there, if not stay away! Oh, and it is in the middle of the forest, not where the map info says it is.... So, don't expect to find it too easily in the dark!!!!

Really bleak dark and worn down. Perhaps state-of-art in East Germany in the early seventies, and not changed since then..
