One of the best hotels we have stayed in for a long time. As we visit relatives in Gelsenkirchen every year we have now found our favorite hotel to go to, so we will be booking with them again for our next trip. The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly and spoke very good English. As a wheelchair user all aspects of my needs were catered for ie: automatic doors. The room (junior suite) was very spacious as was the on-suite.

Parking was a bit of an issue, as I need to be near the hotel with space around my vehicle. They only have one designated disabled parking space which we got to use 80% of the time.

Breakfast was great. Good selection on offer. We travelled to Gelsenkirchen for the football so location was excellent with the fanzone next door.

The magnetic lock broke on my door late one evening and was still broken when we departed 12 hours later as they had to wait for an engineer to attend. Reception had to let me back into my room on numerous occasions which was a bit of a pain.

Very nice room including the bathroom and spacious south facing terrace with Nordstern view. Easy to use aircon control panel (unlike in many other hotels) and beautiful ambient lighting as well as surround sound music/TV. Very good sound insulated and quiet room. Bed is very comfortable and large. Car park right in front of the hotel. The hotel bar, lounge and restaurant are very modern, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The food at restaurant is of very good quality. Will surely book again for future visits.

Unfortunately no terrace furniture or even a chair on the large terrace to enjoy a morning tea/coffee. Bathroom curtains do not block the (very) early morning sun which shines through the bathroom glass door directly in direction of the bed. The for the region traditional "Currywurst" on the Cloud7 restaurant menu for 13,50 Euro is a rip-off.!!!!

The hotel was very helpful to me as I was unable to be there during check in hours, they let me drop my luggage at reception early in the day and they brought it up for me themselves so it was in the room for me upon my arrival late that night

Lovely hotel. Really nice food. The staff on the front desk are excellent. The rooms are fitted out very nicely and the gym is really well equipped.

Some more vegeterian options for cooked breakfast would be great.

modern hotel with modern, functional and clean rooms. Loved the spacy shower and bathroom. comfy and cleanest bed and sheets! slippers at arrival. loved the room. helped me to relax a lot after a busy day!

The longing waiting time for food in the restaurant. plus mostly fried and lifeless food which I completely avoided after first try on first day. wasn’t even motivated to try breakfast either.

Have stayed several times at this location and never been disappointed.

Check-in at 14h was not possible as the room was not ready. Only at 14:40 it was possible to have the room and the waiting time compensated with two free drinks at the cloud7 lounge.

Really convenient for the recent football games. Great rooms. Great bar and food. We could not fault this hotel for our recent visit to Gelsenkirchen. .

Quiet location on a weekend as its a business park, staff are always super nice and helpful, food always good. Great Greek (authentic Greek food) restaurant walking distance near by to.

Not really an issue, but parking can be busy if there is a function on at the hotel.

My room was superb! High quality interior. I loved it. The location next to Zeche Nordstern is also amazing. I took my bike with me and i discovered Bochum, Dortmund, G‘kirchen etc. The Restaurant is nice also. The room was very quiet and the passing trains didn‘t disturb me.

The temperature of the room was quite high.. 24 degrees. And the bedcover was a bit to short.
