Breakfast was good with some vegan options as well. Everything was spotless clean and tidy (room, swimming pool, breakfast area). Staff was warm and responsive. Food in the hotel restaurant (we had dinner a few times) was excellent, although a bit pricy, yet still was worth it. Spa facilities were very good (pool, outside jacuzzi, sauna, sun room) and not crowded.

Wifi in the room was generally ok, yet some occasional disconnectios occured. At breakfast re-fills of some food items were not regularly done. If you went down to eat at around 09:00-09:30 they were usually out of certain food items.

Great place in a beautiful area. Comfortable, quiet rooms. Easy parking, with one exception excellent food and very nice breakfast.

The beds on wheels is a terrible decision. They move constantly when you move. Couldn’t find stoppers on the wheels and I shouldn’t have to look for it. Food is really excellent except for the entrecôte that I had. Bad peace of meat, not medium but well done and the (handmade) french fries where drowned in fat. On the same evening I waited 20 mins only for the beverage. The service on the more modern part of the restaurant didn’t meet the standards that they want to provide. Nevertheless I would go there anytime again. Mishaps are happening. Everything else was absolutely positive.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t properly enjoy staying on the terrace, even sleeping with the open window because some visitors were constantly smoking on their balcony and it smelled like they did that in our room. In the room for massages at spa it wasn’t possible just to relax because the noise isolation was weak so I heard everything people were doing in the restaurant. Weird situation with the restaurant where we had to wait for our easiest meal ever in this area-schnitzel- for 1,5h.

Although I had fairly high expectations based on the good reviews, the hotel and its staff exceeded my expectations. I booked a room in the new building of the hotel, and it had a lovely view. SPA facilities were wonderful, as was the food, and the staff were very friendly. The room was modern yet cosy - all I could wish for a relaxing few days!

if you are looking for a hotel located in a picturesque little village or small town with cafes and little shops, this is not for you. Although the hotel is in a village, it is mainly residential with not much to see and do.

Great hotel! Whole SPA area is clean and nice. There are both textil and textil-free saunas, swimming pool and jacuzzi on the roof. The breakfast was ok, but could be better. There is a beautiful view from the upstairs rooms. The room itself is clean and comfortable. You can find everything you need.

The elevator is scary! It is always shaking while going up and down. One time we got an error message on its display and the door failed to open. Thanks God it was fixed itself. The towels and bathrobes are old and should be changed (there are holes and they are worn). The bed for 2 is actually 2 separate beds put together. The mattresses are good, but they are moving and making a big hole in between.

Really great spa hotel in a beautiful place. Very comfortable and clean rooms, perfect spa and swimming pool. The hotel is kids-friendly. Restaurant is also top. For me, it is one of the best restaurants in Germany which I visited. Thanks a lot to the Chef! And the menu for the small visitors also gets a big like from our family. Staff in the hotel and in restaurants are polite and professional. Highly recommended this hotel and absolutely sure that we will be returning to the hotel for the weekends and family rest.

I cannot find any

spacious room, great bathroom, lots of thoughtful small things: toilet area separated within the bathroom, great strong shower, comfortable bed with extra headrest supporting your neck when you sit up. plenty of free parking, great Welness, super sauna area and decent sized indoor pool. English speaking staff in the restaurant and reception.

all was excellent, perhaps they could provide 2 different pillows - the one we had was really soft and gave not a lot of neck support.

This is our second stay in last 1 month and the whole family just loves coming here. - Its a beautiful hotel in the middle of Black Forest. Stunning views, and with a very well maintained property. - The staff (particularly on the front desk) is very courteous and always ready to help. Good breakfast spread and a nice restaurant adds to the good hospitality of the hotel - The spa is very clean and well maintained. The pool is also very clean and is a big hit amongst kids. The Jacuzzi on the terrace with warm water gives an amazing panoramic view and you sit in that for hours just admiring the beauty of that place - Overall we always have a good time at the hotel and look forward to coming back again.

Nothing to dislike about the place

The hotel is super clean, good spa facility and beauty etc, the location is good not far from next town Oberkirch and beautiful nature, around. Rental bike is easy and at the hotel. Very nice service (people). The room was big (delux double room), clean, well maintained with water and coffee included in the room. Bed etc was comfy. Dinner was good for the chicken with risotto.. Delicious!

Breakfast is nothing special and the saltbath could be replaced by steambath. My partner got entrecote and it had to many fat and potato gratin wasn't taste well.

We stayed in the new building, very comfortable rooms with a nice view and south-west oriented balcony. Great wellness area. Possibility to hire ebikes at the hotel. Dinner (in the older building) was excellent.

Brand new building but interior decorated without taste (yellow "nineties" color everywhere). Staff very friendly but could be a bit more knowledgeable about hike/bike tours in the area. Good breakfast but Danish pastry missing (only small croissants on Sunday). Some trouble with the bill at check-out (we were incorrectly charged for a dinner) but finally corrected.
