The property is right in the heart of Monschau, which gave us easy access to the hike around the city, but also to nice restaurants and cafes. Ivonne is simply a fantastic host, willing to help and to accommodate us! We loved the details of the room, the decorations, the comfortable bed and antique furniture that made us truly immersed in time. We travelled with our 2 medium dogs and Ivonne prepared for us a dog bed, with treats and water! OMG how lovely is that? We are definitely coming here again! Also, highly recommended to take the breakfast! The homemade selection is BIG, even for vegetarians, and you have ‘leftover’ paper bags in which you can takeaway some food for later. We loved everything. The shower toiletries were also very nice and the fact that you have snacks, drinks and other necessities such as razors, deodorant for you to buy at the venue it’s perfect.

It’s not for everyone - but for the light sleepers make sure you come with ear plugs. We always travel with ear plugs because we are sensitive to noise, so it was not an issue - but bear in mind that, as all the hotels and accommodations in Monschau, it is a traditional house with not so thick walls. However, ear plugs should work just fine :)

We were very surprised and delighted by the location and quality of this establishment. Right in the centre of town it could not be more convenient and the room itself was large with a great bathroom and decent refreshments. The owner met us when we sent a txt 20 min out and gave a great brief. Breakfast was offered but not taken die to our itinerary

Like anywhere in Monchau parking has to be remote and you walk in. We were on a moyand although i didnt know at the time i could have brought the bike right into town and parked opposite the hotel.

The apartment is located on a excellent spot. The rooms are clean and beatiful. Free coffee and apples, and you can pay for a very good breakfast delivered at the door. Ivonne was a great host. I would definitely recommend it!

Wi-Fi could be better. It required some login where you need to share your email address and phone number. Also, it was only working on 2.4 GHz, which is not the best option. The corridor light could be turned off during night times.

Everything. It is in a perfect location to explore the town and Christmas market. Check in is easy but you might need to call them so bear this in mind. Massive breakfast set with great quality products! Very cute room (we stayed in the red room) with themed decor. Love the trust box system.

Nothing really! Though could see that people might don’t like how you could hear others talking from the stairwell but it’s an old building so what do you expect.

Hier & Jetzt is located in the beautiful town of Monschau. The Hostess was very friendly and helpful, telling me where to eat on Monday (a lot of restaurants close on Monday after the busy weekend). The room was clean and had plenty of space. The property had drinks and snacks available to grab 24 hours. You paid by leaving money in a box in the room on the honor system. The was very convenient and the prices were extremely reasonable, costing about the same as going to the market yourself. I highly recommend the property.

What is not to like?

What a fantastic place. The communication from the hosts has been exceptional throughout and we got personally shown into our room. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything you could need. We especially appreciated the umbrella as it was very rainy when we arrived!

Nothing really, perhaps it would have been useful to mention to us before arrival its worth bringing cash as most places in the town don't seem to be accepting card!

Booking was easy, room was SO comfy & well designed, well thought of, with wonderful touches everywhere. The lights are cozy, there's toiletries with nice scent, there's snacks, drinks, additional toiletries for purchase in case you forgot anything. Location is perfect, you also have a possibility to order breakfast with the owners that they prepare & put in front of your door in the morning. You do need to climb the stairs which was no problem at all for us but if you have difficulty with stairs, beware. The house in general is this traditional Monschau old house but it's not old inside, well remodelled & organised inside. It wasn't hot in summer, it also has heaters so you won't be cold in the cold time of year. as a person who enjoys the aesthetics of places I live in, I had the ultimate pleasure staying here & would definitely recommend it to other visuals, artists, or just people who appreciate small little touches to your stay. Thanks for everything Ivonne, it was zo wunderbar! <3

that I stayed there for so little, I already want to come back

After a very friendly welcome we were shown the Red Room, which is absolutely charming! Very cosy and romantic, with exposed timbers above the comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean and spacious with an excellent shower. The next morning we got a plentiful and tasty breakfast. As soon as you step outside you're in the middle of the historic center (Altstad), with lovely scenery and a good choice of bars and restaurants. Perfect for visiting this quaint little village, especially during the christmas market.

Location was perfect, just on the edge of Monschau, very quiet spot and not too far to walk from the Burgau car park which at 7 Euros was well priced. Room was beautifully and thoughtfully presented, we were short of nothing. Ivonne has done an amazing job of presenting a beautiful B&B. Breakfast was fantastic, very generous, tasty with great variety. I may have found a new favourite stop over place for regular trips to Bavaria.

The perfect location, a 1 minute walk from the exact center of Monschau. Wonderful staff - Sascha greeted me, showed me around, gave me all the information I needed and more, including which restaurants may be open (Monday and Tuesday are usually days off). The room was wonderful, comfortable cosy and cute. Minibar available with some snacks, drinks and toiletries if you had forgotten anything. All you had to do was leave the correct money in the ‘Trust Box’ in the room. Some chocolate and a drink provided as a welcome. I felt so welcome and comfortable and absolutely loved the environment in the place. I would 100% recommend to anyone and would happily come back again myself. Incredible attention to the small details included in every part.

There are a lot of stairs to the ‘Rot’ room, absolutely worth it for the room that is there. This is not an issue but might be something to consider for anyone with mobility issues! The other rooms downstairs are more easily accessible I am sure.
