The place is one of its kind. The anecdote goes that it was first developed as an "artists' Nirvana" and it might be true for the vibes are very good in this place. My room was giant with enough space for the double bed and staple beds, nice sitting corner, closets, etc, plus a large bathroom. The room had sliding glass doors towards a lovely terrace. The hosts, Carsten and Fanny, are warm, fun, welcoming and have a lot of stories to tell and tips to give. Around the corner there is a very affordable gas station. It is a great place to stop at when going to or from Denmark by car. Highly recommended.

Spacious comfortable clean room - with extra beds for families! Friendly helpful host who spoke excellent English! The peculiar fascination of the owner with biker paraphernalia and Chesterfield furniture was an extra. He has devoted part of his converted farmhouse space into a sort of museum exhibition! You need to see this to believe it... it makes for an interesting stay without any detriment to guest comfort.

VERY spacious room in a quiet town, with sofa and free parking spot. The owner/staff contacted us to check when we would arrive and arranged a self check-in arrangement since we were arriving late, she left a small map to show where the room is. Water boiler, tea and mugs provided. It was a very nice cosy house with dining area (although we didn't use it). I did not like it from the first look on the picture but it was actually a very nice homey place.

The toilet mirror was higher than standard, could only see the top half of my face (I'm 160cm tall). There is a door connecting to the other room, which was a bit worrying, but we could lock it from our side, not so sure if the other door to the other room is lockable from their side. The room was next to the terrace, so in the morning when the other guests were out we had to draw the curtains, blocking out the light, for privacy.

We arrived very late but owner was very good flexible for us. We got all what we wanted. The was very comfortable and we slept very good. Very nice and talkative person - we like that ;) I hope that we will back here.

Lovely clean room. Fantastic terrace to enjoy a drink(which are available at the property). Great breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Secure parking for motorbikes. Motorcycle themed communal room upstairs.

Quite place. Close to the motorway. Amenities are in good conditions and sufficient for our purpose. Communication with hotel team was easy and pleasant.

We stopped here for a night on the road trip from Norway to Belgium. The hotel is very convenient stop near autobahn and clean. The area is very quite so we have a good sleep.

Bathroom is a bit spartan, but fit for purpose

We were visiting friends in Denmark but due to COVID didn't want to stay in Denmark. Dannevirke is very near to the border. It is in a quiet town, but still close to the highway. As location goes for our purpose it was excellent. The breakfast is also really good and the hotel staff very friendly and efficient. There's not much in town for food in the evening, but there's a good greek restaurant in the next town over. The vibe of this place is very rock and roll with motorcycles in the hallway and the like, but that adds to the atmosphere.

I can't quite say anything we didn't like. If I have to say something the rooms are not super large. So if you plan on staying many days perhaps see if they have a larger room. But if it's just for 1 or 2 nights then we found it to be absolutely fine. Ah, and the wifi speed was also slow - according to our rather demanding kids.

Perfect place - the definition of well kept. So clean and comfortable with kind and helpful staff. All extremely well set up. Great place to break a rail journey.
