The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful and tasty German breakfast every morning during our 7 night stay and finish our evenings with a glass of wine at the bar/restaurant. Also had a great dinner there with some of our friends and family. A special Thank you to Be Nita and Andreas, 2 of the employees at the hotel. They both took the time to get to know us and always had time for a conversation. We will be staying at Altes Zollhaus again on our next visit.

Very friendly staff, good location with lovely views over Rinteln, very comfortable room with good shower room. Very generous breakfast with cooked and cold options. Delicious evening meals with good wine list. Easy to walk into Rinteln and lots of places to visit and walk locally and in the wider area

As a British traveller would have liked a kettle for tea in the bedroom! But there was unlimited tea at breakfast...

Amazing staff, speaking English very well. Helpful, friendly, always smiling, welcoming. Rooms are very clean and very comfortable beds. Bathrooms very clean and smell nice. Food in the hotel restaurant are superb 👌 😋 👍 I'll rate the food, portions, service, including kitchen staff and waiters 100% brilliant. 10 out of 10!!!!!!! Definitely will recommend 👌 👍

I love everything there

A high class stay. Attractive historic building, cosy and welcoming yet very clean. Nice terrace and lawn, with views across the valley. Very good restaurant with local dishes and the best hotel breakfast buffet i have seen in years. Close enough to the A2 motorway to make a convenient overnight stop. We could bring our dog, also in the restaurant.

Our room was on second floor, up some steep rather slippery stairs.

Room,s where we stayed it was a bit stinky because off the bathroom I think those rooms they where in the top floor they didn’t have enough fresh air very small window

Room was hot in summer heat. No fans on offer. Opening windows meant inviting the local mosquitoes in for a feast. So we slept Inna hot room, or more accurately did not sleep well.

stop over on way back tp London. Big room and excellent restaurant- what else do you need? Breakfast was delicious and good area for dog to have a walk.

One of the best hotels we stayed in on our way to Poznan, perfectly located half way through between the UK and Poland. We cannot recommend the restaurant enough - the food is superb, there's large selection of great German wines and the staff are very curious and helpful. We'll definitely stay there again.

Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, pleasant bed and pillows. Possibility to make temperature higher or lower and restauraunt on the 1st floor.

To enter the room hotel give you common keys, not a card.

Dinner was fantastic, with quick service, which is all you need after a long drive! Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Good beds. Everything was very clean. Lovely restaurant with cosy corners or open view un the surrounding mountains.
