Hotel is easy to find on a main road into the town and only 3-4 minutes to one of the main town gates. Parking directly behind the hotel at 8 euro per day. A beautiful bedroom and amazing bathroom in a lovely old building (there's no lift but we were on the first floor and it wasn't an issue) - obviously a lot of effort has gone into renovating / modernising what is an old building. Extremely comfortable. We ate dinner in the hotel both days and the food was excellent with good service. Man who checked us in and served at dinner was very welcoming and informative. The restaurant / bar in the hotel seems to be popular with locals which was good to see - closes around 10ish so we didn't manage to get back in time to have a drink there
Breakfast was a bit disappointing as dinner had been so good - not a great selection.

It’s a good and well located hotel. The room is big enough for two people with a good shower and pretty clean. I wasn’t able to meet the hotel staff because on the day I arrived (Tue) there was no one there, but the host was very helpful and sent all the necessary information previously.
The hotel flor is made of wood, and unfortunately the guest that was hosted on the room above mine, decide to start packing their stuff to leave at 5am and keeping making noise until 7am. The floor in their room was extremely noisy, causing us trouble sleeping. I think this is something that the hotel cannot directly control, but unfortunately there are people who have no common sense towards others. The hotel’s breakfast was ok, but nothing special, the coffee itself was a bit cold.

The guesthouse was steps outside the old city walls and a much less expensive than staying inside the walls. It was quiet and quaint. Breakfast was plentiful. We would have liked to try dinner there, but our visit happened to fall on the nights the restaurant was closed. Parking was literally across the street in a small lot and free, although there are some spots you can pay for behind the guesthouse.
It is an old guesthouse, so there is no elevator for those who might need/prefer one. We were on the top floor (3rd floor U.S.) and were fine.

The location was also close to the station, 5 minutes, so I was able to get there without getting lost. I was also able to walk to the entrance of the old town in 5 minutes. There was also a supermarket within walking distance, so it was nice to be able to buy souvenirs. The staff were friendly, and even the staff who couldn't speak English used translation software to help me communicate with them, which made me very happy. As everyone said, there was so much to choose from for breakfast and it was so good. The food at the hotel restaurant was German and delicious. The room was a good combination of modern and vintage, and the bathtub was large and the water pressure was perfect. The whole my family enjoyed staying at this hotel.
As the hotel might be old, there is no lift. so it might be bit hard for some people.

The hotel is in a excellent location! Across the street from the hotel is free parking. The parking lot is large and I had no issues finding a spot. The train station is a short walk away. The Old City Center is also a short walk away in a straight path so that you don't get lost. The walk is amazing since it takes you through the old city gate overlooking the moat. Since the hotel is just outside of the Old City, there are several restaurants to choose from. The restaurants in the Old City will fill up quickly and may require reservations for dinner.
For many Americans, the breakfast might be a little underwhelming, but we are just weird and like to have massive feasts in the morning.

Five min walk into the beautiful walled town. Check-in easy and parking either at rear of property (at a charge) or free public car park opposite. Breakfast extra but very nice selection and saved walking into town to find somewhere. Note:- staircase and no lift in property so may be a problem for some. Staff very friendly.
Street noise from party/goers in the early hours….. but we did stay here on a Friday night !

A comfortable room with a very comfortable bed, Easy access to the room via the side entrance to the accommodation with our own key. The room was tidy and clean. A good range of options at breakfast. Very close to the station and also to the beautiful old town. The female staff member at breakfast was extremely helpful in finding a way to solve our transport problems after we found out no trains were leaving on our departure day due to a strike.
Our room came with a bath and a low shower attachment which for us was not ideal. A kettle in the room for us is always a welcome addition.

Rothenburg ob de Taube was my first stop for a near 3 months solo travel around Europe. I am very happy that I stayed at Bayerischer Hof as my first point of hotel too. Everything is well maintained despite the hotel ages and I slept comfortably throughout the 3 nights there. Quiet, peaceful and I truly owned my great time there. Not only about the place, the crews there running the hotel were helpful, smiley and very welcoming. The food by the master chef Markus was yummydelicious and it was truly fun hanging around with them for toast after toast of the authentic German beer. I had great time here, beyond words to express my gratitude for the kindness and willingness to share and chat. Bayerischer Hof team, thanks so much for the clay mug emblematic of the German beer spirit and I wish you more milestones achieved in your endeavours to keep up the lively ambience with the guests.
Too sweet to having things to dislike.

This is a lovely little hotel/guesthouse run by very welcoming people. I think the Jennifer I met and who served dinners on my second night is the manager. It is exactly half-way between the Rothenburg ob der Tauber railway station and the first of the town gates leading through the walls into the extremely cute, stunningly beautiful medieval town. In other words, a very easy walking distance, My room was very warm in chilly spring weather; the two dinners I had there were delicious and the staff were happy to let me speak only German without correcting me (I only speak German in German-Europe as I like to keep it up as best as I can); but I also overheard them speaking perfect English to American visitors. I promised them on leaving I would bring my wife back next year. I have put three photos of the hotel from outside; my room; and the view from my window.
There was nothing I didn't like. This was a straightforward guesthouse, not some flash hotel, and I enjoyed it far more than a sparse modern hotel room.

Very close to town, large comfortable room (but we were couple in a triple room), comfortable beds though the pillows were not very good. Despite our stay being on their rest day the instructions for access to the hotel and room were clear.
Nothing except the pillows! The room was on second floor and no lift, but we knew that and reduced our luggage accordingly.
