We booked very late having been let down elsewhere and due to a slight mix up we were upgraded to a suite which was wonderful! Everything about the hotel was amazing, really luxurious, the staff were all lovely and the brewery and bar next door were so memorable 🍻. We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. The bed was super comfy, huge - the shower with a massage head was such a treat, loads of speciality teas and a coffee maker with pods, premium brand toiletries - real touches of quality. Thank you for upgrading us, our son thought his double room was fab too! Safe motorbike and classic car parking, I really hope we come back one day! Thank you so much 😊

I chose to stay at the Hotel Domhof because it was close to Hockenheimring, where I was taking part in a Porsche training course there. The rooms were quiet and they had some very good whisky and gin available! The air conditioning was nice to have, as the weather was a bit hot during the day. Chris (sp? - the day manager) and his trainee were super friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed talking Formula 1 with him. I would definitely stay there again. Not even a question. While I didn't get a chance to try to the restaurant next door, I plan to do so next time I visit. There were several people there each day. So, I assume it's popular. However, the hotel's restaurant served a really good breakfast.

The room was really nice with a walk in shower in the bathroom. There were no coffee making facilities in the room but there was a Nespresso machine in reception (free). There was a courtyard where you could sit and get drinks. The hotel just did breakfast which was very good, a mix of hot & cold. They owned a restaurant next to the hotel and you could eat and drink there and put it on your room. They had a car park outside (free) and a small underground one which was €12.50 a day. We used the outside one. Reception is 24 hours and they speak English. Would happily stay there again.

There was nothing really not to like. If I was really fussy, coffee and tea making stuff in the room would have been nice but it wasn't really needed.

Big room with a great location in Speyer! Highly Recommend!

Rooms are in beautifully restored buildings round an ancient courtyard. We had a comfort plus room with airconditioning overlooking the courtyard. A lovely bright airy room with an exceptionally well-appointed bathroom. Breakfast could be taken outside in the shady courtyard or indoors. It was an exceptionally good spread - freshly squeezed orange juice, great selection of meats and cheeses and several hot choices. Bread included wonderfully fresh local Brezeln. Location was superb - only about 5 minutes from the Dom and close to all the main shops and restaurants. A bonus was the Domhof restaurant/ brewery next door. Lovely shady biergarten, excellent beer and really good food. Worth booking a table indoors at weekends as it gets very busy. Speyer is a lovely town and if we visit again, we shall certainly stay at the Domhof.

The Hotel Domhof is the newest incarnation of the oldest hotel in Speyer, where kings and princes stayed. It includes a large and very good restaurant with a beer garden and its own brewery! The location is superb, a few minutes' walk to the Cathedral and the main street, Maximilianstrasse. Our room was good-sized, quiet and featured a coffee machine, small fridge, and ample bathroom with large shower. It also had air conditioning (though we didn't need it). There is an elevator, no dragging suitcases up the stairs. The breakfast is served in a very large, high-ceilinged room with frescos and coats of arms referring to the hostelry's long history. The buffet is huge and features a lot of delicious possibilities. The staff are kind and accommodating. We arrived by train in mid-afternoon and left the next evening after a fine dinner at the hotel restaurant. The reception desk let us leave our luggage within eyeshot of the receptionist from before 10 a.m. until the taxi came to take us to the train station at 8 p.m., and even stored my leftovers from a superb Greek dinner the first night in a hotel fridge during that time! We will definitely return to this hotel.

The courtyard, around which the three wings of hotel rooms, each named after a Holy Roman Emperor, are arranged, is illuminated at night and the curtains don't quite keep enough light out if you're light-sensitive (and I am). Also, the pillows, though lovely and soft, compress down to nothing and don't give enough neck support. If I could have brought my own pillow (i.e., if we'd come by car), and I'd brought my sleep mask as well, I would have been fine!

It was amazing to sleep just next to the Kaiserdom in Speyer! The breakfast was also amazing. All staff very friendly. The room was everyday made as we were having breakfast. Will most definitely come back to the Domhof!

Everything perfect & comfortable. This fine hotel is centrally located, set in a quiet green court. Skilled welcoming staff, beautiful room with a comf bed (we had nr.50) with coffee machine, enough glasses & cups,1 mineral bottle/ person, modern wide shower, fine soft bath towels, a great buffet breakfast, good hygienic measures. We had a delicious dinner to its next-door restaurant. We will come back to beautiful Speyer and only to this hotel!!

Very nice small hotel ... renovated rooms.. very clean... Good breakfast... it was a nice relaxing stay...

It was a heat wave when we arrived to Speyer. And after we checked in the room we found out that there was no Air-conditioning in the room... We were lucky that there was another available room with AC... so we changed to it .... but if there was not an available room ... it would've been toooo hot ...
