We had a really great stay, loved the gym facilities and also the staff was very attentive and accommodating. We received a complimentary bottle of white wine on arrival and there was no competition to reserve sunbeds, which was great! We had half-board and both breakfast and dinner were delicious with lots of local foods to choose from. My favorite thing was the shower, which has 4 different ways you can shower!

The standard rooms are slightly small, you don’t have enough space to open 2 suitcases. Also there is a mini market in the property with horrendous prices: a Nivea sunscreen costs 45€!!!! (I bought the exact same one in a supermarket in Heraklion for 11€).

Warm welcome from the reception night staff Georgios and other girl later on, the day staff Manos, Argyro, Antous. They were all really friendly and helpful at any time. lovely well equipped room with all what is needed for our stay. great shower with loads jetted functions. Outside of our garden level room was welcoming jacuzzi and hanging basket chair. The whole atmosphere and the grouds of the hotel were so relaxing and very quiet in the evenings, so as secure! If you are looking for relaxing/ romantic holiday La mer Resort & Spa is the right choice! High standards of daily room service. Morning and evenings meals at Perle Noir restarant we were looked forward for delicious traditional and all the rest varaites food with great and always smiling shefs and most important of all professional restaurant staff - Evgenia, Nicolaus, Elefaria and always smiling Labros All were really polite and helpful! Evgenia knew well after first day of our breakfast what I wanted to drink, and as soon I was back to the table with delicious breakfast plate , perfect Greek coffee was made by her and brought to me! It was interesting to find out that water, drinks/ spirits etc at the dinner time and by the outdoor pool, beach, they were all served at an additional charge. And each time kindly was asked by staff how would you like to be charged ( we had choosed to the room, and paid all at our check-out). We had a choice for the dinner and decided to get it one's At La Brise de la Mer restaurant( at additional charge), and at that evening we enjoyed amazing views of mountains, full moon and delicious dinner. Victor said he had one of the Best cooked steaks ever! Credit to the shef. During high pick of the day sun, other credit to the Resort is Spa service and all relaxing facilities- salty refreshing water of the swimming pool, hammam, steam room, massage- I can talk about it long, but best is to experience it all yourself with professional staff Maria.

The stay was really good. Has a private beach with multiple sun beds and there is a lso a poolside restaurant closer to the beach from where we can order directly from our sun beds. The price of the dishes and drinks are also reasonable. Overall a good experience. Location can be a bit better if you do not have your own car. But if you've your own car then it's closer to towns like rethymnon. To Chania it is 50 minutes drive.

There is a bus near to hotel to Chania and Rerhymnon. But I waited for 40 minutes and it either didn't arrive or didn't stop. Had to take a taxi to both places. It costed me 30 Euros to Rethymnon and 55 Euros to Chania.

The hotel met all expectations and even exceeded them. Not so big and peaceful place for perfect relaxation. Stuff is amazing, always smiling and doing their job in the best way. Pool and beach amenaties were perfect. During our stay, there was no problem to find sunbeds even around 11am. The room was higly enough for our needs and equiped with everything. Not to forget the Spa center. Maria and her team(Georgia and Anna) did their best to make us feel good and relaxed. They really love what they do. Our stay at La Mer was exactly what we were looking for and for sure, we will come back.

This place was really nice, with a beautiful view of the seaside. The hotel itself is very aesthetic, and the interior is stunning. Breakfast and dinner offered a variety of delicious foods. The staff were nice and welcoming.

However, the only thing that disappointed me was the lack of cleanliness. The bathroom wasn't cleaned, the floor had crumbs, and even the bedding was stained. Additionally, we had a jacuzzi, and it was clear that they either don't change the water or don't clean it, as there was something floating in the water from the first day and the walls of the jacuzzi were green. Moreover, they do not clean the outdoor terrace.

The checkin and checkout service was second to none! The staff were so lovely and we didn’t lift a finger. The welcome drink was a nice touch too. The breakfast was also insane and we loved the variety and Greek/traditional. The staff again, really made breakfast so pleasant. The rooms were extremely modern and the shower was the best I’ve seen with 4 different rain options. The beds were huge and comfortable. We saw the reviews about rises the beach and prepared to not be able to use it but in fact the previous reviews we feel were overstated, if you walked a couple of metres to the left there was a sandy part you could walk into the sea with. Also we got the bus to Rethymnon twice and found the buses to be reliable and cheap.

Unfortunately the only thing stopping this from getting a 10 is the food at the beach bar - it felt poor quality compared to the breakfast buffet. All the meats were frozen and the menu is extremely limited whilst also being quite expensive. We think this hotel is missing a real opportunity by not upgrading the food at the bar!

We liked everything from the begging till last day. Really atmosphere of the 5-star hotel. Very friendly staff willing to help. The food is amazing and different every day. The cool thing you don't have to fight for sunbeds, there are always free places no matter what time you come to the beach. Very relaxed, quite atmosphere, mostly couples. If you want to chill and relax from big city a good place to be.

Everything at La Mer was absolutely perfect. The view from the hotel room was unbelievable, the bed was comfortable, and the food was phenomenal. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was perfect - lots of options so that you could try a little bit of everything. The loungers by the beach and the pool were comfortable, and provided just enough shade. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcome, especially Theodore and Marianna. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

It was a really great hotel! We would recommend it. The staff were really kind and the service was good. Stefano the transfer driver was great! We had a good time. Enjoyed the outdoor gym, pool and breakfast!

It is very isolated so you cannot go far. Also the beach is not sandy, only rocks so it is not so nice to go into the ocean. The rooms were quite small and the service can be a bit slow at the pool bar and restaurant. I think they need to do a bit more work to really reach true 5 stars. I would say it is more 4 stars.

Absolutely lovely personell! It was outstanding service from day one, special thanks to Eva, Giannis, Agyro, Manolis, Antonis, Penelope and Uxue. The resort has stunning facilities with an outdoor gym, indoor pool, sauna and hammam all included in the room rate. The food was plenty and full of varieties between cretian food and also international cuisine, the breakfast was amazing, we loved the fluffy pancakes and big selection of fresh fruits. The view and private beach was perfect for relaxing and we even good to look at cute little sheeps besides the hotel. All in all we can highly recommend
