Really nice place, very close to restaurants and bars, the beach is walkable but taxi is better. There is a taxi rank close to the art rooms (upon leaving the art rooms, turn right then right again and a few minutes walk you’ll see the taxi rank on the left). Ask for a taxi number in case you go somewhere that has no taxi rank to be safe, they’ll pick you up and you pay the driver. We did have a car as well, there is are car parks (turn left when you leave the art rooms and shortly you’ll see it. They’re very reasonable and i think one of them is always free. Our room was right next to reception and we didn’t hear a peep out of them or any other residents.

Nothing, the art rooms are peaceful and perfect for our stay.

All rooms have a different size. The best room is also the most expensive one and includes a separate kitchen and bathroom. The cheapest room is at the back has full afternoon and evening sun which makes sitting on the balcony impossible. The other rooms are facing the square and are in the shade in the evening.

Some of the rooms are very small and can just hold a smallish double bed, They are about 3x3.5 metres. The bathroom is behind a glass wall, but cann be separated from the room by a curtain. The chairs on the balcony look stylish but are very uncomfortsble to sit on.

Beautiful rooms right in the heart of the township. It wasn't noisy at all. The staff were extremely lovely and we were recommended a wonderful authentic Greek restaurant for our evening meal. Thank you. The apartment size was huge and it had a separate kitchen dinning, bathroom and bedroom. Each room was spacious and beautiful decorated in the dedicated rooms colour. I loved the pot plants throughout the apartment. There were complimentary wine and snacks for us to enjoy, typical treated from Kalamata region.

Very comfortable room with nice touches left in the room e.g bottle of wine, natural toiletries and local nibbles. Very good air conditioning. Interesting layout as room was compact but good use of space. Very nice helpful staff on reception. Good central location for shops , bus and taxi rank. 15 minutes walk to the old town. 10 minutes to the railway park and 30 minutes to the marina.

More hangers for clothes , and change of towels on a daily basis.

The location was perfect for us as we wanted to stay in the city center. The staff was very kind and helpful, which seems to me to be the standard in Greece. Breakfast was served in the cafe next door, it was tasty but the coffee was excellent (what is not so common in Greece). The bed was very comfortable.

The bathroom stall in the room was odd. But this was due to the fact that it is a building that was not originally built as a hotel.

I spent one night in Kalamata on a professional trip with my spouse. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Having stayed in several Airbnb-like apartments in Kalamata, this one is probably the best in terms of aesthetics, cleanliness, and comfort. However, it's worth considering that in the summer, there might be a bit of noise coming from outside. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as you are in the town square center of Kalamata.

Good, prompt communication from hotel. Absolute central location beside city square. Hotel allowed us to check in early which was helpful. Staff friendly. Various parking options from free to local rate available close to hotel. Bistroteca next door serves good food at a reasonable price. Nice welcome pack of local produce as a welcome gift.

Cannot turn balcony lights off as they are centrally controlled which floods into room. Curtains not wide enough to cover window. Sewage system could do with an industrial clean as there was odour from bathroom.

Located a few blocks from the historic area, there are endless places to eat and drink only a few steps away. The ruins are comfy and spacious.. I also appreciated that the toiletries are from a local company that uses high quality ingredients. We also got a fantastic recommendation for a local restaurant (don't miss Ta Rolla!), and Julia arranged for us to tour the oldest distillery in the Peloponnese for free.

It can be hard to find parking nearby.

This is an outstanding hotel in every way. The 2nd floor apartment was spacious (sitting room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette) and extremely clean, featuring a balcony overlooking the festive scene of cafés, shops, and strollers in the pedestrianised city centre. Lovely details upon arrival included a Nespresso machine with pods in the kitchenette, a pair of slippers in the bedroom, Messinian Spa shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, and air conditioning in both main rooms. The hospitality and helpfulness of the staff were second to none throughout my entire visit, including with making arrangements for a visit to a neighbouring village that would have been very difficult for me as a non-Greek speaker to manage otherwise. The hotel is within walking distance to the city’s main attractions, including the beach (15 to 20 minutes to the south) and the Old City (10 to 15 minutes to the north), and is also within a few blocks of excellent amenities including the AB Supermarket and the PowerLife Gym. I absolutely loved my time at the Kalamata Art Hotel and highly recommend it to others.

We booked 1 night in this hotel as we had an early flight from Kalamata the next day. Location is good, within easy walking distance from the old town and loads of restaurants. Room was fine for 1 night. Kind staff and complentary goodies.

Noise from the street. Couldn't find a light switch to turn off balcony light (curtains not blacking it out). Breakfast (provided by restaurant downstairs) not until 8 AM, meaning we couldn't make use of it as we had to leave for the airport around that time.
