Location perfect in the centre of the village and right on the beach. Staff were helpful and friendly Great selection of food for breakfast as was the lunch and dinner. We like to eat out in local tavernas but the hotel did its best with variety. Sea view room was great for view and the bed was very comfortable. I didn’t use air con as early in the season but also a ceiling fan. They have entertainment on an evening and our room was just above but luckily this finishes at 10.00pm

I would say bedroom furniture needs an upgrade , dark brown and dated. The bath towels also ready for upgrade.

First and foremost extreme value for money. Then in front of a beautiful sandy beach, well organized entertainment program, endless buffet with great variety of food and delicious local recipies, extremely friendly personnel willing to assist with anything. Special thanks to the manager, reception, Mathew the trip orginiser and the animation team.

I struggle to find anything, maybe the parking whixh is 100m away from the property but who cares about that when you are on holidays.

The view from the hotel was lovely, the beach was very nice too. The room was spacious , upto date and clean.

Some days the food was a bit cold or meats dried out. The meats cooked in vegetables and sauce were delicious though and the selection of salads was good too.

We really enjoyed the location, the food, the nice surroundings. The rooms were confortable, good Wi-Fi and lovely people, especially the lady that was entertaining the kids. They loved her. It is very suitable for families with children because they have a lot of activities for them not only at night but also during the day.

The lady at the reception during nighttime was not very prompt. We almost lost our transport back to the airport because she did not announce the driver that we are going half an hour later (we told her a day before)... given that our flight changed... the driver came and left and the lady at the reception did not tell us anything... luckily we hâd the driver's number and he came back but had to pay him extra 20 euro... for being late..... but not our fault... if we have known that it was not possible or if the lady from the reception hâd told us we would have gone as planned initially...

Location - close to awarded beach, sandy beach with free of charge sunbeds and umbrellas. Beach towels provided for all guests. All meals included, plenty of choices available. Snacks and drinks available between main meals. Personnel very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

AMAZING value for money! We received a free upgrade to a lovely sized, sea view room (Room 220)- thank you so much for this. Excellent variety and quality of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also plenty of choice of free soft drinks & alcoholic beverages (for All-Inclusive only - well worth it we thought. £420 for 7 days for 2 people, was great value for money). Plenty of space too in the restaurant area; indoors and outside. All the staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Special thanks to Penelope (front reception), as well as to all the other staff - cleaners, bar staff, restaurant & kitchen staff, fantastic customer relations. Also to Sandy, who was there to provide spa treatments. Very clean throughout. Lovely outdoor bar and pool area. We went in late April 2022 - just out of season, so there was plenty of space to lounge around. Great beach area too with sun-loungers. The village of Kalyves itself is well serviced with other bars, shops and restaurants, with lots of nice walks to neighbouring villages along the coast to be had. There is a taxi service right next to the hotel (approx 35 Euros to Chania airport). There is also a bus stop(s), at a junction approximately 15 mins walk (not a hilly walk), where you can catch a bus to Chania for about 5 Euros adult return, or to Rethymno for about 10 Euros adult return (about 35 mins trip to Chania, just over an hour to Rethymno - both have lovely harbour areas, but Rethymno is the prettier town). You can buy the tickets from the conductor (not the driver, cash or card). Check out www.e-ktel.com for bus time tables. In one of the photos I have attached, there is a map. The junction highlighted in the black circle shows where the bus stops are. The bus stop, I have labelled with a '1' is the stop you need to go to Rethymno. The stop I have labelled '2' is the stop you need to get to Chania.

Having to come home!

Everything was ok, the score it currently has on Booking is lower than what this accommodation has to offer. As long as you do not go with too many expectations from a 4 star Greek all inclusive small hotel. They are trying their best to provide good services and if you ignore small inconveniences that can appear in any place, you will enjoy your stay. The rooms are clean and can also be cleaned at request, the location is excellent, the free sunbeds at the beach are usually sufficient for the number of rooms, wifi works (even on the beach), they are trying to provide entertainment and help with anything you can think of.

The variety of food could be better from one day to the other. But even so, there is more than enough and properly supplied. The all-inclusive drinks and cocktails are local, as usual, and not that good / well prepared. But still manageable, nothing to worry about.

Great staff and very kind management. Nice evening entertainment. Pools, beach, available at all times. We enjoyed it most of the time. Very good for small kids. Room cleaning ladies are always there around if you might need something, they really looked after us especially Joanna.

A single bed is very hard in both rooms, my sons couldn't sleep in it. Also, no double beds but twin beds that even when put together have a gap in between, so kids can't sleep with you. My point is only to be aware of it before actually checking in, it would help people decide if it suits them. Very repetitive food options, we were there for 12 days and there was the same option most of the days.

The staff is great, nice and full of attention. They were very quick to fix things when we requested a fan or an extra chair. They are also providing as many towels as needed, for beach or bathroom for free. As well as beach beds and beach umbrellas for free. The food is excellent with a great choice. The dining area was great, inside and outside near the ducks. The tables are always clean, as they are cleaning as soon as you leave the table. The spectacles are diversified, and I greatly appreciated the one with the magician or with the acrobats. The gym is nice and clean, provides water and free towels Very couple or family-friendly It is a really great hotel where to relax, regenerate and chill Overall we loved our stay there, it’s not a so big resort but everything that you need is all there. For sure we will come back! Thanks a lot

the area for kids may be improved(space, diversity of games to target the 0-7yrs old kids, not only 0-3)

We adored everything about this hotel. Family friendly with a boutique feel. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming; the food was delicious (plentiful, great options, and with all the traditional taste sensations of Greek dishes too AND so healthy!) We truly appreciated the immersion into the culture of Crete; along with stunningly beautiful views; access to pools perfect for our 9 and 6 yos; easy access to Xania and as a base for further afield must-sees (pink sand at Elafonisi Lagoon, Lake Kournas, and Limnoupolis water park). The hotel was spotlessly clean. And the live evening entertainment was an added bonus (perfectly timed in alignment with the family vibe!)

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!
