Allround very good: helpfull staff, good breakfast, nice towns closeby.

Hotel has a policy (they have a sign) to not allow reserving of sunbeds at the pool, however they do not enforce it. Very annoying when people reserve sunbeds early in the morning and only show up at 17:00, whilst you can't get any shade or seat at the pool. Sometimes about half of the sunbeds were reserved by people that were not there. We asked if we can (re)move the towels, but the hotel staff refused. So they won't do anything abour it and won't allows us to do anything. Also, the pool water is murky/unclear. Not the worst I have seen on crete, but i've definitely seen much better.

Booked a superior room, these are the renovated ones, lovely and modern, very comfortable and nice and spacious with lovely sea views. Seperate walk in shower . The room had coffee making facilities & fridge. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Great location. Lovely pool area. Breakfast was nice. I would definitely recommend.

A lot of steps (as with a lot of properties in the traditional vilkages) so not really suitable for those less mobile, not an issue for us but something to bare in mind.

Such an amazing place to stay with a family! Swimming pool was very nice and big, breakfast was tasty, personnel very kind and professional, especially Katerina from reception who was always there to answer any question with a smile on her face. We stayed for 10 days and felt that people who are working in Asterias village are like a family to each other and care for anyone staying there. Location is wonderful, Koutouloufari is such a charming little village. We had a car, so we were flexible to move around the island. If there is no car then there is not so much to do in Koutouloufari for 10 days, but of course always possibility to take a taxi or walk down to Hersonissos. There are very nice tavernas in Koutouloufari. ‘Pithari’ and ‘Emanuels taverna’ were our favourite, food was not just tasty, it was amazing, real greek food and possibility to have a tasty pizza etc. for children. There is also a supermarket opposite the hotel where we were buying drinking water and snacks. Manos was greeting us each day, chatting with us and became like a friend these days. We will have the best memories about Koutouloufari and ‘Asterias Village Resort’ and we will definetly recommend it to our friends as a place to stay while visiting Crete.

Half board includes dinner at Oliva, the hotel's restaurant, where, apart from warm bread and the soup of the day, we were also entitled to a four-course meal of our choice, selecting (each of us) a starter dish, a salad, a main course, and a dessert. Our deluxe room was large, nicely-decorated and furnished, and had a very nice view towards the north. The cobbled area around the swimming pool is quite relaxing, with sunbeds, a jacuzzi adjacent to the pool, and a chapel.

Very nice location in a very touristic area, a small typical Greek village with a lot of restaurants and very close to Hersonissos and the sea (about 2 km by foot, 20 minutes away). The area wiyh the swimming pool was very nice, also very crowded but we were always able to find a sunbed. The receptionist was always helpful wiyh many indications. Quite distant from Heraklion, but in a very nice tourist spot.

The kitchen was poorly equipped, no sponge, no dish soap. No cooking pans.

This is my third time staying here . The staff are all amazing. They all work so hard. The place is spotless. It was my birthday while I was away and they must've seen that I had a birthday card in my room, when we went back to the room later on that day they had left a bottle of wine ...such a nice touch . Would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be returning.

There's nothing that I didn't like ...some might the steps but wasn't an issue .

Very friendly staff, nice views from the balcony. Apartments very clean. No more than a 15-20 min walk to the town/beach/nearest gym etc. Great value for money.

Staff was friendly and food was good. Amazing view from balcony or swimming pool.

First night we got a room that needed a lot of work but next morning we were moved to a very nice one.

Room type Maisonnette with sea view - we love its interior design, wooden structure and privacy, very spacious and comfortable for a long stay; diverse and tasty breakfast, specially the different local pastries offered everyday; warm-hearted service from all personnel; rosy, palmy and fruitful garden

Can’t name much literally.. We however felt a bit of pity that the beach bar is not yet utilised to its full potential. We thought perhaps some live music or cozy lightings would surely help to attract more guests. And of course, a small bottle of dishwashing liquid in our room kitchen would have been appreciated..

The location, the service, the food, almost everything was amazing. Thank you to the entire staff. In particular Alex and Nikos, you guys have been amazing
