If you are reading this and it’s the your first trip to Santorini then hopefully this review will help you. First off location. For us and this was perfect. Imerovigli is nicely situated outside the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia and offers a multitude of fantastic restaurants, usual local shops, the iconic scenes you would associate with Santorini and spots to experience the incredible sunsets. Within 5 minutes walk of the hotel you can visit Skaros Rock and experience incredible sunset views people suggest you can only experience in Oia but is situated in closer proximity to quieter but very pleasant spots such as Firostefani. Fira itself is where you will find the central bus station where you need to go to visit any other town across the island, this is about a 20 min walk from this hotel. In terms of the hotel itself, it sits slightly behind the cliff wall of hotels where every last man and his dog can see you sunbath as walkers by frequent the cobbled pathways but pending your room you can still experience incredible sea views that also look across the aforementioned local towns – at day or night, its beautiful. In terms of he hotel itself, its amazing. Very clean, well maintained grounds, nice sized pool, relaxing chilled music, great rooms, and facilities. The breakfast was great quality made from local produce and made to order, incredible package deal when included in the price. Outside of this the afternoon and dinner menus exceeded expectations with quality wines and other beverages on offer. The staff are very attentive and makes the stay feel more exclusive. Shout out to Johanna, George and Jim (not their Greek names!). They were really nice, engaging but not too engaging, professional and helpful. I would suggest that this hotel is best suited to couples rather than young families. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nothing bar the uphill walks in parts but this is Santorini!

Meroviglia is completely enchanting. Upon entrance to the beautiful tiled foyer, you feel you are in a sanctuary. Ioanna is a charming host and the staff are always friendly, attentive and so professional. We loved our room with its vaulting ceiling and superb outlook to the sea. The bed and linen is high quality and very comfortable. Do not miss the breakfast!!! It is in a class of its own. The chef prepares incredible dishes and uses lovely herbs and the tastiest tomatoes we’ve ever eaten!! It is a very generous menu with many choices. We really enjoyed the yogurt and sour cherries too. Throughout, the staff were so professional but always very warm and friendly. On the basis of the breakfast, we had dinner at their restaurant (Fico). There is clearly so much love and care put into each dish. We had the ceviche, the Calabrese salad, the sirloin steak and a seafood pasta - all were wonderful. This was complimented by tremendous cocktails (Martini, Negroni and Taste of Capri) It was one of the most memorable and romantic meals of our life. Big thank you to all involved in making this hotel such a fabulous destination.

- phenomenal breakfasts - great way to start the day - Caldera view, from the highest spot in Imerovigli - Perfect location between Fira and Oia, right on the Fira to Oia walking path. Avoids the cruise ship masses in Fira and the hordes in Oia - March weather was perfect for hiking, hot under the sun with a cool breeze. - Joan, Manager of Meroviglia, was a superb hostess, anticipating our needs, making suggestions, recommending restaurants, booking scooter, organizing cars, very hospitable. - The whole staff was very helpful and accommodating. - Great cocktails in the evening around the warm fires.

This boutique hotel is designed and furnished with a really nice taste, it looks unique and elegant and it has a charm of the last century. Our room was very spacious, and the view from the terrace to the caldera was spectacular. The staff is so nice, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was impeccable. We had the best coffee choices here. Also you can find really delicious meals at the hotel’s restaurant, at Fico. Special thanks and big hugs to the guys from the restaurant, who were always welcoming and nice, even if they had to work so hard from morning till night. 🤗

We absolutely adored our stay at the Meroviglia Boutique Hotel. From the moment we first arrived ... we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes by host ioanna and the hotel staff ... they made sure we settled in for our holiday straight away and recommended the very best places to visit by day and fun bars and clubs to visit at night. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious and the outside veranda areas have wonderful views of the sea. The breakfast that was prepared for us each day was absolutely delicious and the chef even handpicked fresh mint leaves from the garden to garnish the tasty fruit bowls and salads for us.The pool area is really stunning and the music played really creates a wonderful vide to relax in. The staff enjoyed making different varieties of tasty cocktails and recommending the very best Grecian wines. The hotel really has everything you will need .. a beautiful ambiance.. great pool ..fun and super friendly staff and stunning comfortable rooms.

Nothing... loved absolutely everything about the Hotel.

Gorgeous pool. Lovely food. Staff were incredible - they did everything to make our stay fantastic. Rooms were big and very comfortable. Plenty of seating around the pool. Really felt boutique and special. The views from nearby were breathtaking and you don’t have to go far to see incredible sunsets and loads of lovely places to eat and drink. Loved the styling and we cannot wait to come back next year! Thank you to all the staff ❤️

It was difficult to find as we drove - Google maps struggled to find it! We also recommend that you organise a transfer if arriving by ferry. The hotel will organise this if you ask. Don’t be like us and just turn up. In other ports in Greece, this was no problem, but in Santorini there is a sheer cliff face and you HAVE to accept what is there, which is overpriced and stressful.

The public areas of the hotel were beautiful. The swimming pool area is very relaxing and calm, pool is quite big for this area and compared to other hotels. The restaurant staff and food were great! Beautiful location in a peaceful area.

We had some troubles as our room door broke (twice). It was a bit difficult to arrange fixing it and we didn't really understand who was responsible for it and when it will happen. The standard room could use a little renovation when it comes to the bathroom, the shower was a bit broken.

EVERYTHING. Listen, go here! If you want to be spoiled and feel like a luxurious person, this is the place to stay. Not only is it centrally located for walking to Fira, but you could take a decent hike to Oia. However, if you didn't want to adventure out, you could always stay in (like we did on a rainy day) and have a personal massage in your room by Yannis. Fantastic! The staff will arrange it all for you. Literally, anything we could think of, they could make it happen. I'm telling you, we were spoiled from the moment we rolled our suitcases in and Kostas took them to our room and Ioanna (the hotel manager) said hello to us. When we weren't adventuring in the car we rented or out on a sunset yacht (all managed and booked by the staff), we were at the hotel beginning entertained by Aris, Pablo, Demetrius, and the whole crew. Even Danny the dog. He was a favorite!!! When learned so much about the area and Greece from the guys and Ioanna. We couldn't have asked for a better off-season Santorini experience. Not only was the staff amazing, but so was the drinks and food. Just go. You won't be disappointed. Between the people who keep this hotel running, the views of the island, to the delicious food and drinks. 10/10 recommend.

The hospitality at Meroviglia is the shining star. The entire staff is very helpful and accommodating to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible. Breakfast was 10/10, although there were some items on the menu while we were there that were not available. We also had lunch and dinner while staying there and all were delicious. The location in Imerovigli is perfect. Away from the big crowds of Fira and Oia but still very accessible to both. The walk to Fira is about 20 minutes on a very easy path. The restaurants in the immediate area offer more than enough to choose from without needing to go far.

There truly was not much to improve upon. We really enjoyed our 6 full days at the hotel and will be recommending to anyone that is taking a trip to Santorini.

First of all everything is just so beautiful, elegant and chic. This goes for the rooms, the pool area and the restaurant and down to details like pillows, glasses and even the styling of the staff. And speaking of the staff, they were fantastic. Very friendly and personal while at the same time being very professional and making sure to give us the right amount of space and privacy. The breakfast is a la carte and it was simply amazing and at a high class restaurant level. Everything was delicious and the ingredients were obviously of the highest quality. We also had lunch there a couple of times and it was equally good. Our room was both beautiful and comfortable. Good beds and good pillows and covers. We were in a sea view room which had south and southeast facing views so we could basically see the whole island south of Imerovigli and the sea at both sides, with Fira and the boats in the bay. Sunset views were less then a minute away and we usually enjoyed it from one of the many great restaurants in the area. And the location is just perfect in that sense. In Imerovigli you get it all, without the crowds of Oia and Fira. Fira is just a nice stroll away if you want a change of scene and Oia is actually reachable by a rewarding hike of about 2hrs - which we did. So all in all - we had an amazing stay, for a whole week, and since we felt so great in Imerovigli we spent a lot of time in the vicinity and in the relaxing pool area, so a special thank you to the guys at the restaurant for taking excellent care of us.
