The 10 year old that I was holidaying with chose this hotel specifically because her name is Sophia, whoch for her was very important 😅 The pool was great, and a nice enough pool area with a shower, bar, loungers and parasols. Our room, number 5, had a small patio that faced onto a little enclosed area with plants, that had about 10 tortoises of all different sizes living there. The location was great, within easy access of Mykonos town - the hill isn’t that bad and was good exercise. If you have mobility issues fair enough, but otherwise it’s not an issue. Azhar met us on our arrival and was really hospitable and welcoming.

That we were only given fresh towels every other day - because it wasn’t super warm, even though we hung them outside to dry overnight, they were still very damp in the morning, which meant we had to dry off after showering with cold, damp towels. The wardrobe was unusable because it smelled very strongly of damp, so I hung our clothes over the one chair that was in the corner of our room. The bathroom ceiling above the shower was covered in black mould that was peeling off. This is constructive feedback, as overall we enjoyed our stay, but addressing these things would really improve the overall feedback. Some snack offerings by the pool would be really welcomed, whether it’s a greek salad, fries, pastries etc something would be better than nothing!

It’s an excellent location for the money compared to other choices right in the center of the town of chora… you need to walk down the hill to get to the main road that leads you to fabrika snd the main shops /eateries… I would definitely come back here. There’s a bus stop right outside that goes to the airport but I didn’t figure this out until later on in my stay… now that I know I would use this to return to the hotel from fabrika instead of feeling up the hill on the other side of the hotel … when I asked the staff about the bus stop they said they didn’t know - I think it might be because they also have their own fleet of transport vehicles called pakman so they encourage you to use this service. Since I was traveling with kids and with luggage I chose to use their service Enoch was good from the airport snd to the harbor but got my day to day travel walking or taking the public bus around the island was the best and most economical option. If you’re traveling light you can access from the airport s asks from the new port the hotel with just the public bus… so if you’re reading this know your options! On the side where there is the main road you can walk and find some nearby shops and eateries that are nice as well so you don’t have to go down the hill to access stuff.

Nothing it was all great.

Nice room and great location with a 5min walk down into the main town - although a sobering-up climb back up the road at the end of an evening. Lovely pool and small bar with very friendly and helpful barman. Everything was spotlessly clean. Convenient having a scooter hire shop attached to the hotel. Good sunset views in the evening.

The music around the pool hits the Mykonos vibe but can be a bit loud at times. Very strict rules about 'guests only' on the premises, which made it difficult for friends to drop by. The wifi signal can be quite weak and slow. Note that room towels can't be used at the pool.

I loved that there was pool access with a bar, even though I didn't get to use it. The hotel is an easy walk to Fabrika, where you are in the middle of Mykonos Town, Little Venice, and take the buses to other parts of the island. The uphill walk isn't the worst, but it's a one-time at the end of the night thing. There's no going back and forth from the hotel into town. The room was perfect. I loved our little patio, and access to a clothing line to dry clothes, comfortable beds, and everything was clean/newer. The airport is literally 5 mins away driving. We got a car from the airport for 25 euro which was fine given the convenience (it was night, we had our luggage and the hotel is at the top of the hill), but on the way back we took the airport bus from Fabrika for ~5 euro for 2 people.

No complaints

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The view from the hotel is amazing, especially around the sunset hour as you have an uninterrupted view of the sea. The vibe in the swimming pool is really really good, with many people spending their day there and creating a fun atmosphere. Mostly, the staff is amazing, they go out of their way to help and we found them very nice and accommodating. The hotel is a short walk to the town centre and there’s coffee places, super markets, grocery shops and a gas station nearby, so the location is really convenient as well.

Nothing we didn’t like really.

Great place to stay for a vacation! The room was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. After a long ferry trip, the swimming pool was just what we needed to unwind. When we arrived, one of the air conditioners wasn’t working, but it was fixed the same day. Azhar was fantastic—always willing to help and provided great recommendations for visiting different attractions on the island

The wifi connection was poor

The pool area was lovely and the bar was very convenient. The room was huge and clean.

It was impossible to keep the bathroom floor dry whilst showering due to the wetroom style, rather than having a separate shower. However, this does seem to be the standard for Greece, so I wouldn't let this put you off booking it. The hill to reach the hotel is also incredibly steep. You will likely question your life choices whilst climbing this, especially after a large dinner and a few carafes of wine. On the plus side, you'll have at least burnt off your dinner by the time you reach your room...

Staff extremely nice and helpful.. Supermarket and facilities conveniently located nearby The owner an old Greek lady was around, she distributed home-made greek sweets to everybody, very nice gesture 👌 The pool was useful to have for the days when we didn't go to the beach.

The location, although 5 minutes away from the center, yet the whole road is a steep downhill/uphill making the trip inconvenient and tiresome especially if you have to do it more than once a day. We ended up going to the center by car!

Sophia Village really did exceed our expectations having stayed at numerous hotels in Mykonos Town over 20 years. As Twin brothers we met people from all over the world and our stay was memorable. Firstly on arrival Sophia upgraded our room from a standard booking to Deluxe which made our stay even more comfortable. Azar the Barman and Sylvia in Reception were so personable and there to assist with everything and we had fantastic days and evening spent around the pool bar. In addition the weather was just the best we have seen for end of September into October it was blue skies and full sunshine everyday. The cleaning crew did a fantastic job and very friendly. Sophia looked after us personally making us a lunch platter and brought various food and drink treats we have never had this service before. On leaving this place with heavy hearts and asked Azar for a taxi to the Airport Azar said i'm taking you in Sophia's private BMW what a treat. So you can see there is no better place to stay than Sophia Village hotel- Value for money and hospitality like no other. John and Andrew

The receptionist (Silvia?) was cranky and made us feel unwelcomeé However, Ash was a great host. He provided guidance on where to go/what to do. He helped for advice for where to go for local spots.Don't be surprised - you have a hill to clim before you arrive at the hote; It is also a 10 minute walk to Mykonos Town

Wifi issues in our room.
