Melenos is the perfect place to stay during your time in Lindos. With scenic views of the bay from a balcony through to the breakfast location. Each room has its own charm to it and has a real character that makes you feel you have a unique stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide more than enough hospitality in every aspect of your stay from booking sunbeds on the beach to restaurants that are difficult to get into. Couldn't recommend Melenos as a place to stay and want to come back already.

There wasn't anything that I had any issues with.

We have been before, but the facilities and decor are as good as ever. It's located in an ideal place, and the staff and general level of service are excellent. The consierge service is particulary prompt and efficient. Will doubtless go back.

A place like this has to be judged differently from most hotels ... there's no point in looking for poor cleanliness or missed housekeeping, because such things would never get past the quality assurance team. A few minor things ... we think a hotel of this class should really have a plunge pool, especially as Lindos is known for its searing heat in the summer. There used to be a French-themed restaurant in-house which was really very good, and we would like to see this re-open now that Covid restrictions have been eased. Finally, we did notice that the air conditioners in adjacent hotels made quite a lot of noise at night, which could be a bit disturbing, but there's probably not a lot they can do about that.

From the first entrance we knew this was a special place. There was Georgia with a beautiful smile welcoming us as if friends and showing us around with evident pride ( and a welcome bottle of Prosecco!). And well she might, for this is an absolute gem, situated high up in the village with the act acropolis fortifications behind and the bay in front this is perfectly charming in every respect. It appears as a collection of old vernacular buildings linked by alleys and steps but in fact had been purpose built in the traditional style with incredible attention to detail, a perfect blend of tasteful decor from the hand painted ceiling tiles in the reception and excellent woodwork everywhere to the wonderful eclectic collection of hand-picked furnishings, antiques and fabrics from India, Turkey, Uzbekistan etc. It was a joy to be in, a feast for the eye and the heart. There are many well-planted terraces and hideaways - every room has an outside area, the better ones with sea views. The rooms are superb, spacious, airy and quiet, all with individual fabrics and antiques. Breakfasts were amazing with every taste catered for, the staff friendly and helpful. All in all one of the very best hotels we’ve stayed in (of many!). Thank you to the delightful Georgia and her team - still fresh and enthused at the dog-end of a long season.

Absolutely nothing!

One of the best hotels in Rhodes. Great location - next door to Lindos Acropolis, just a few minutes to Lindos central streets but remote from the bustle, having the sea & the beach down to the feet. Large & comfortable room, big & comfy bed & pillows ( I loved the pillows !), separate dressing room which I considered so elegant to have, private terrace with a breathtaking view over Lindos bay, welcome bottle of wine & water. Prompt room cleaning service. There is even a second room cleaning service in the evening, to tidy up the room, which gives a luxurious feeling. The welcome is so nice: the hotel sends an electric buggy to pick up the guests and their luggage from the parking plot and , upon arrival , the guests are offered wonderful greek yoghurt with confiture, which is a reconfortant treat after a long trip. They even can arrange pick up from the airport or a rental car. The breakfast - served in the patio overlooking the sea - is really excellent, with plenty of healthy and savoury choices and the staff are so kind trying to fulfill all clients' wishes. A special thanks to Giorgia - head of the reception desk. Her help and kindness are unlimited. She is so knowledgeable and offers the guests precious information. She booked the dinner for me in a wonderful place, recommended the beach and booked the chaise-longue for me, tried to help me with another superb accommodation, and - above all - she put me in contact with an amazing guide for the tour of Rhodes old town, who directed me furher on my trip. I can say that thanks to her my trip turned out so smooth and worthwhile. I am most grateful to her for it all.

Nothing negative, just a piece of advice : book more days than you actually think you need ! In case you later want to extend your stay with Melenos, it might not be possible. They are always fully booked. Just another proof that they are doing a really great job !

This is a lovely, comfortable, interesting, small hotel. The staff are exceptionally helpful. It's in a good location – quiet, overlooking the bay, but only a short walk from the centre of the village. Courtesy of the owner's artistic interests the hotel is full of wonderful objects from the near-East – tapestries, furnishings, lamps, metalwork etc. It's like being in an exotic home.

There was nothing I disliked about the hotel. But I would caution that it wouldn't be a good choice for people who struggle with steps. It's built on several terraces with steps in between.

Everything - from start to finish - was a delight. The room was stunning (we stayed in room 9); the bed was super-comfortable; the breakfast absolutely delicious; the views incredible; and most of all the staff were exceptional. They could not do enough to make sure we were happy and comfortable. I am sure I won’t include everyone (so apologise in advance) but Georgia, Vassalia, Christina, Prosinee (sorry about the spelling!), Maria, Mary, Bruna, Meris…they were all fantastic. If you need total relaxation, the best sleep ever, the most delicious breakfast and the best views - don’t miss this place! I miss it already…

I liked everything.

the breakfast was served in the garden overlooking the bay, the ambience was exceptional, the staff were so attentive, and the food was wonderful! The poached eggs were a dream , the greek plate was superb, the omelettes heaven, I could go on and on everything was perfect! The room(honeymoon suite) (although we are over 60!)was the most beautiful room , high vaulted ceilings cool floors ,beautiful bathroom hand painted tiles, and the bed was the most comfortable we had ever slept in. rooms were cleaned twice a day, and fresh beach towels delivered. chocolates and flowers on the bed it was heaven!Georgia in reception is wonderful and nothing is too much trouble to ensure your stay is everything you want it to be.

Georgia and the staff have such high standards that there can be nothing that you dislike in this hotel, which is paradise.

Staff were wonderful, so helpful and accommodating. Exceptional customer service. The location to the Town, beach and the Acropolis was just perfect. Our room was spacious, comfortable and so clean and decorated beautifully in lindian style. Stunning views from the hotel. Lovely choice of breakfast.

Very minor points - The restaurant is no longer there which was disappointing as it looked beautiful on the website. The website and advertising say that it is and this is misleading. Also dozens of cats begging/scrapping for food from the table at breakfast was annoying for some guests. The staff tried to shoo them away but they kept returning. Fine if you’re a cat lover.

This hotel was fantastic in every way, I would highly recommend it. Beautifully decorated rooms with everything you could need. Clean beach towels were provided every day and room was spotless with fresh flowers on your bed each night. The staff at the Melenos were lovely and could not do enough for you. Special mention for Vasillia, Christina and Georgia. The location was great and a few minutes walk into the town and down to the beach. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice, served in a beautiful garden with fantastic views. This hotel is a real find and we would love to come back.

There was nothing to dislike, every detail was thought of.

The furnishings, artwork, hotel design and character are exceptional. Every day you will see something wonderfully artistic you had not seen the day before. Australian designer, Donald H Green has certainly left his mark, fusing both Greek and Turkish traditions. The position of the hotel could not be better. The breakfast in a beautiful private outdoor courtyard frames the morning. The fresh fruits are a wonderful start to the day. The staff were excellent, and particularly Georgia, the manager. There is nothing in Lindos she does not know or cannot help you with.
