I booked the Butterfly apartment based on the location and viewpoint of the city, which holds dear memories. Upon arrival, there is a secure front gate that is coded and likewise another to enter the main entrance. Our apartment was on the second floor, and if you don't fancy the exercise of the stairs, you can jump into the lift. When entering our room, the first thing to do was check the view, and it didn't disappoint. Our apartment had one large room and a separate bathroom area that were well sized and equipped with all we required. I knew we had the breakfast option with our stay, but I guessed it might be some cereals or toast, perhaps, but I was very wrong. In the morning, we entered a communal area and was greeted by András who was warm and friendly. Breakfast was a mix of pastries, meats, cheeses, breads, and yoghurts. Andràs took our order for a fresh coffee and served us at our table, which was unexpected but a great touch. On the second morning, he didn't have to ask and remembered our coffee choices as he did for the other guests. This apartment is in an old charming building that is full of character and history. Location of the apartment is fantastic, opposite the central market hall and a stones throw away from the number 47,49, and 2 tram line, which is all you need to navigate your way into the heart of the city. We had a great stay, and the value for money was excellent for the time of year and the breakfast also. A lot of stays now are not personal. You just collect your room key and away you go. András keeps the personal touch and goes the extra mile, which for us was super appreciated.

Just a few small issues. Our shower holder was broken, so using the shower head was tricky , and the water drained very slow, which could be due to being on the second floor in an old building. Lastly, our mattresses did slope inwards, which is a sign of wear and tear. We didn't take away any points away from our review as in the grand scheme of things, these are minor things that can be resolved easily.

Convenient location right at the start of the main tourist street with 200 meters away from tram stops and 300 to the metro station. View on the bridge and market is adorable. Not needed much because of included breakfast, but a lot of cafes downstairs. Exceptional hospitality, all recommendation and advice from the owner made our stay in Budapest unforgettable!

Very good location. Close to stops (bus, train), easy to get to/from railway station and airport by public transport. And this stops are in one level, no need to use stairs or underground passages, what is very important when you're with heavy suitcases and big bags. Almost in the centre, close to all main sightseeing places, on the central street Vaci, close to the river Dunai. The very best ever, clear and detailed manual how to get to hotel and where to get keys (really, I've never seen such easy to understand directions). Very good breakfast, with plenty of fresh backing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Big bathroom, comfortable bed. And what is very pleasant - the welcome greeting was written near every room, and it was in guest language! So, only the best impressions about this hotel.

I enjoyed quite a lot staying at the Butterfly Home Danube. The instructions provided to get access to my room were quite precise and I was contacted a few days in advance and was asked about the time of my arrival. The room is beautiful, very spacious, with a magnificent view of the Danube River and the bridge. It is clean, neat, and very bright. Andras and his wife are very polite and helpful. The coffee is very tasty and there are several options for breakfast.

I was able to check in as the owner sent detailed instructions. The facility had an elevator which was needed due to being disabled. The room was a little small because I use a cane. I was still able to get around without bumping into things or injuring myself. Loved this lodging set up, it is like a hostel but not. Self check in, calm and quiet environment, close proximity to many stores and restaurants in close proximity and literally in front of the chain bridge.

Nothing specifically was disliked. I had to get use to hearing people early as my room was off the general gathering area. I have noise cancelling Bose headphones so it was fine for me.

The accommodation exceeded my expectations. Communication with the host was effortless and easy, we were able to leave our luggage at the pension before check in AND after check out. The host provided us with a room upgrade which was extremely kind of him. Breakfast is plentiful! The location is perfect right next to a metro station in the city centre. My partner throught he left his heaphones in the room and the host took time even after we left to look for them :) Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely return again!

Bathroom piping was very noisy after every use and on the first day I was not exactly sure how to get coffee (would suggest to make easier and sooner access to it for the guests as mornings are crucial to coffee drinkers). Those are just little things that would not stop me from returning!

It’s a super hotel! Everything is super organized. We were new tourists in Budapest en the owners of this hotel made everything clear for us. What restaurants were safe to eat, what banks are safe to withdraw money from, what places to avoid. They helped us with everything. The hotel was super cozy and it was super clean, the beds slept amazing. The location was spot on! There are bikes, metro’s, busses and trams across the hotel. The service was excellent, the people were lovely, thank you for everything! That all for a descent price 😍

Great location for exploring Budapest with a lovely view of the bridge, there was a bit of a confusion with the booking of beds however after speaking with the host, an extra bed was added the following day. Host was very helpful with information sent prior to arrival and codes for accessing the building, breakfast was lovely with a great choice, bags were able to be left on our last day, helpful and friendly hosts , nice welcome on the bedroom door upon arrival, lovely personal touch

Was a bit dark on arrival and we couldn't find any switches, not sure if this was a sensor light, this maybe because it's a shared building, just have your torch ready!

Great location next to Central Market and bus/tram/metro stops. Easy instructions how to get access code. Elevator. Excellent breakfast with great variety. Lots of eateries nearby. Ability to use the kitchen during a day. The host, Andrush, is the excellent host! Very attentive to the customer requests. We were not feeling well and he helped us with his family doctor! Hi Andrash! Thanks for that! We also had an amazing view to the river and old bridge as we had an apartment with the river view: well worth it!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable, situated right in the central area with two tram lines and a metro line crossing just in front of the apartment. This made getting around the city incredibly convenient. The communication with András, the manager, was excellent. He was always responsive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!
