Checking in way smooth and easy. Hostel was clean and quiet. When I stayed, there were very few guests there. The kitchen was well equipped, dining area was spacious. There was also a rack for us to share/donate extra food so it did not go to waste, which was an excellent idea.
Everything was generally good overall. There is the usual noise/disturbance from other guests staying up late and talking loudly, but you can just go tell them to shut up after a certain time. The bathroom water taps do not fully close, so beware you can hear trickling water all night, so just go out and close them properly.

24/7 reception at Ísafjörður Hotel, check-in/check-out very easy, very friendly and helpful staff, well-equipped kitchen, stable WiFi, 2 bathrooms, 2 out of 3 nights I had the room for myself as they didn't place guests together as long as there were free beds. As the other guests were hikers, too, there were no issues with noise, etc. As with other isolated places with great nature, you'll meet many interesting people. Ísafjörður is rather a sleepy town, but nicely located and perfect to come to rest and to experience authentic Iceland. The surroundings are very exciting and apt for loads of outdoor activities. Especially Hornstrandir is very wild and untamed. Greenland feels close, too (2 days on a sailing boat).
everything as expected; It would have been good to have a clothes horse or sth similar to dry the wet and dirty clothes. Maybe there is, and I couldn't find it?

Very nice personnel at the check in + Location is good + Everything was clean + There is a common room with couches + Kitchen facilities were clean, too
You need to walk 5-10 min to the hotel to check in - there are no sheets included in thr price. I used my sleeping bag woth to avoid this fee, so it was not a big problem for me. - bathrooms can be buzy because there are only 2 of them.

Super friendly staff and a clean hostel with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. We felt safe and the location was great, could even park our car right under our window for free.
Hard to reach and very few power outlets in the room. Also if you don't have your own blanket, it's quite a lot extra to rent one. With one bathroom I imagine it can get quite crowded, luckily we were good with timing.

It's a small hostel that seems more like a Guesthouse. Even though there were only 2 showers and a few toilets, there wasn't too much waiting. The location is perfect for walking around Isafjordur, getting to the ferry for hornstrandir, and getting to the recommended restaurants/cafes.
It's a bit strange that you have to go to the Hotel to check in, and the description needs to clarify that you rent a duvet for 3500 per person. The kitchen needs a few basic items such as box grater, colander, and more towels to use for drying and cleaning.

The location was great and we were comfortable in our twin room. Staff at the hotel check in were super nice and helpful.
There is very little to no sound proofing, so as some guests next door were being loud, we couldnt help but be woken up by it.

Checking in was easy, and we were greeted by friendly staff. Arriving in our room, it was clean and comfortable. The facilities were clean, and there is a nice space for meals. We had space in the rear of the building to put our bikes together. This was an extra bonus.

Location was ideal, the amenities excellent.
A minor inconvenience was that you needed to leave the building and link up at the hotel to speak with staff. I still think it worked well.

Very good location because you could walk to restaurants, gas station and shopping. Plus it had a lovely view
First time staying in a hostel... So I don't know what is normal. But, zero quality. Stove top needs BETTER operating instructions.

Great location and clean bathrooms. Expensive like all of Iceland but less expensive than a hotel.
Wasn’t that easy to find out where to check in. Initially was told we could check in early but that was not the case. No problem as the town is adorable and plenty to do.
