Excellent value for money in the vibrant heart of Bangalore close to restaurants, bars & cinemas. The staff were polite and helpful. They allowed me to stay in the room passed check out time for a couple of hours. The rooms are large and decent.

Initially I was allocated a room that had a strong smell of smoke. When I informed reception that I had booked a non smoking room they moved me into there slightly better quality rooms on the upper floor. Slight wear & tear but that wasn’t a major issue considering the price.

Such a beautiful hotel with lovely staff! The room was huge and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was tasty & the kettle in the room was a nice bonus. The staff went above & beyond to help us on multiple occasions - ordering food for delivery, organising bus tickets & storing our bags until our evening bus. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect - walkable to the shops & restaurants but far enough away that it felt less busy. We loved it here & would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

Vellara is located on brigade road, thus we found it very accessible to the brigade road shopping area and currency exchange shops. You can easily get transportation from this location via Uber. Breakfast buffet included varying Indian food options alongside continental breakfast. There is a bakery/convenience store right next to the property with several dining options just a few blocks away. They rooms are cleaned on a daily basis with fresh sheets and towels provided everyday. The staff here are very courteous and helpful.

I have previously been to Vellara sometime around 2012 and returned back in 2023. It seems like that the property hasn’t gone under much renovation and is old. BUT even if it is old, the property is VERY CLEAN.

Our stay at Vellara was excellent. The staff we co-operative, friendly and always ready to help. None of the housekeeping or desk staff ever declined our queries. It was a homely stay. We would love to be back.

What could have been better is the staff on night duty could have been informed of our arrival after midnight and therefore the room could have been prepared prior to our arrival. Considering we were a couple ammenities like blankets, tea bags, kettle and milk could made our welcome a bit smoother.

The rooms on the 3rd floor have been renovated and have a fresh look.

We had been used to its roof top restaurant lunch and dinner menu with room.service at reasonable prices. Lunch and dinner menus have now been discontinued with the option to order room service from an external restaurant.

Very helpful staff and attentive to our requests. Daily housekeeping is available. Breakfast is great with different choices daily. Location is ideal and the room service from Tom's restaurant is a bonus. All in all a great stay will definitely come back.

I stayed in this hotel with my family for three nights. Hotel is not very impressive from outside, but it is quite good from inside. The rooms are spacious and the facilities are clean and tidy. Staff are amazing, particularly at the front desk. Property is defenitely a value for money.

Only flaw is their restaurant service but that can be tackled by placing your order quite well in advance so as to have your food at your time, whether it be in the restaurant or in your room.

I have used this hotel several times before. I always find the staff helpful and I was able to leave some luggage (Manchester winter clothes for flight back home) at the hotel. Defo will use again when next back in Bangalore.

Excellent breakfast menu. Location is great. Very supportive staff. Quick response to requests. MG metro is just abt 10 or 15 mins walk So very good connectivity.

A very few things didn't work, but not so important.

The cleanliness, amiable staff, Room service, wifi (the internet speed was good), there was a grocery shop next door which was a plus and there was an empire restaurent nearby.

Breakfast was great but the taste of food ordered as room service could do better. The location was not too great for a person having a kid as there were few places specially restaurents to choose from nearby; walkable distance. (the ones nearby were not too bad though, and would be great for families with older kids and couples)
