Our stay at this beautiful beachside wellness center and resort in Gokarna was nothing short of magical. The resort is a true haven for nature and wellness enthusiasts, rooms and structures thoughtfully designed with natural laterite walls and open courtyards that blend seamlessly with the environment. One of the standout features is the serene lake in front of the rooms, a testament to the resort's commitment to water harvesting practices. The food here is a delight, curated with Ayurvedic principles in mind. The vegetarian dishes, made from local produce, were both healthy and incredibly tasty. For those who enjoy seafood, the fish prepared in local cuisine is a must-try. Wellness is a priority at this resort, with a meditation hut and yoga center offering regular sessions. The spa is a highlight, providing excellent massages and treatments in a beautiful setting. We also tried our hands at some pottery. The resort's prime location right on the beach is its crowning glory. The beach is private and uncrowded, perfect for a peaceful, slow-paced retreat. If you're looking to unwind and enjoy a tranquil beachside experience, this resort comes highly recommended.

It’s tucked away. You don’t need to get out to be occupied. It’s instantly soothing. And the activities like art, yoga, meditation across the day are lovely. They even have a library where you can just curl up and read a book!

The food. It can be much much better and more flavourful. Moreover the phone and kettle weren’t working in our room. The staff more than made up for it with timely intervention, but when you’re paying so much, you expect the basics to be intact.

We loved the peace and tranquility, the helpfulness and friendlessness of staff..particularly the waiter pranay, the cook for his demonstrations.. shivanand,and the lovely pool man. The pool was great. Enjoyed the yoga and aqua yoga, cookery demos, room was lovely.

Loved the snacks but timing is wrong if you are going to do yoga at 5. Please serve at 4 and not 4.30. The menu was rather limited..you need some lighter lunchtime snacks or salads.. not the same menu as the evening. Could have had the massage treatment menu in the room and the ayurvedic consultation was a bit meaningless.

We loved the space, the easy access to the beach, and the excellent team who helped us during our stay. Our room was very comfortable, and we were very happy with the seamless check in procedure.

The restaurant could have more choices in the menu. And while the dishes we ordered were pretty good, we felt that the food could be a little more diverse and better in comparison to our stay at the Marari Beach CGH property where the food was truly excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at Swasara. Right from the check in to the demonstration of the facilities in the room and to checkout, everything was very professionally managed. The villa itself is out of the world, lots of open spaces to relax and a very nice bedroom. The staff is excellent, very courteous and take care of all your needs. Restaurant is good, they have limited choices but i think it was sufficient. The food was excellent. Lastly not to forget the Ayurveda massage center. Like everything else in Swasara, this is also well managed.

Nothing worth mentioning

A very different kinda stay. Calm ,peaceful , one where you can find yourself in the silence. The konkan bungalow is amazing. The service of the staff is great Great views around the property to stroll Beach is walkable and has private access through the property The konkan thali for lunch was great in the restaurant Breakfast is amazing - they serve healthy food ( farm sourced, organic, no sugar, flour etc.) Lots of activities - clay art, painting, cooking class , yoga /meditation. Can take ayurveda massage and therapies if one wishes to. Got myself a massage and it was not bad. Note: traveled with our 5 year old and he had a ball. But i understand, they typically don't allow kids below 16 during the peak season.

No room service ( understand their philosophy of mindful eating and also the bungalows are open air ) Food in the restaurant was slightly overpriced for snacks, etc.

Private, jungle, comfortable, serene. Should stay more than two days to experience the property and surrounds. Good massages. Rooms large with several comfortable nooks to relax.

In-house bottled water had re-usable caps with mould in caps. Very limited menu options, hardly any seafood, no diet drinks, no fruit juice. Very basic breakfast. Waitrons hardly speak English. Service slow. Walkways extremely slippery.

Staff all amazing, beautiful property, amazing pool, bedroom and lovely beach access. The included yoga classes were lovely too! I had one massage which was also nice.

We both like a firm mattress but found the bed much too hard for us- I struggled to sleep because of it. We also thought for the huge price tag we were getting all our meals included so that was quite a shock. But that is my fault for not asking really. We loved it but without the meals all included we wouldn't return just because it's over our price tag!

Beautiful, wonderful space and surroundings, attentive staff, meditation, yoga, art, cooking, talks, shop, big pool, great breakfast, near Om Beach. We felt completely relaxed and tranquil in the natural setting.

Amazing location, absolute calmness, wonderfully developed property in terms of landscaping, design of each villa/room/cottage, quality and healthy food, good Ayurvedic treatment facility and doctor, very cordial staff, well connected to good eateries. overall, very pleasant experience and would love to go back to anytime. looking forward to my next trip again to this place.

I can’t say I didn’t like, but I imagined it to be like any other resort, which this place is not. lack of amenities for fun for kids could be an issue if you are travelling with kids and if kids have lot of expectations around fun from the property. however, property is right on a clean and superb beach front that can give plenty of play time for kids.
