Responses & follow ups were quick for anything that we needed in our room.

Dining room attendants are like robots. True hospitality was missing. Sometimes napkins were missing from the table. It’s like they were rationing napkins. Sometimes, young waiters made comments that shouldn’t be used. Guests are the reason they are working. One of the manager did not even come to talk to me even an employee told the manager about my concern. Manger was only 30-40 feet away in the dining room. That’s tells me what I need to know about hospitality in that dining room area.

The hotel is located next to the airport, we walked from the airport for the check-in. The morning breakfast buffet is very good. The quality of food at the Palm Kitchen hotel restaurant is very good. We went during Durga Pujo season, so the restaurant had Bengali cuisine buffets which was very nice. If you want to stay close to the airport in an upscale hotel then this is the best choice.

The food menu of both the hotel restaurant as well as the in-room dining is pretty limited, you are out of luck if you are looking for variety except for the morning breakfast buffet or unless they have themed buffets in the restaurant. Food portions may be less for people with big appetites, but, that is something subjective to personal taste. We were happy with the portions served for our purposes.

Super convenient location very near Kolkata airport. They arranged airport pickup and drop-off for 500 INR. The airport is almost close enough to walk, but would require crossing busy streets. Friendly, helpful staff.

Nothing about the hotel but a warning to incoming international travelers. We couldn't find an ATM at the arrivals hall although there are said to be a couple somewhere in the airport. We were lucky to have some rupees left over from a previous trip to India which got us through to our next destination where we could find an ATM.

Excellent location close to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

For two guests, there was only one set of towels and we had to ask for another set. There was a crack in the coffee cup which caused a mess in the room which we had to clean up with a towel. Even after explaining this, the front desk staff asked us when we were checking out, why a towel had coffee stains. I was disappointed when the staff refused to call a taxi for us to go to town, saying that they were not allowed to do so. I have traveled all over the world, but never did we have a hotel adopt this altitude.

- Locational convenience (needed to stay right beside airport) - Rooms are comfortable, clean (though not very spacious given the price point) - Ok spread for breakfast (though not many options) they also provide a basic “grab and go”

- in an earlier stay we had problems with the wheelchair (for a super senior citizen) . However this time process of transfer from lobby to room with baggage and wheelchair was smooth and seamless, so this experience was vastly improved compared to the previous occasion. Good job!!

We stayed here on an overnight stay, as we had an early connecting flight the next day. It was an all-around great and restful experience: very nice room, spacious and comfortable; buffer dinner was amazing ($10.00 x person), breakfast, included in the rate, was equally good and they have a very efficient and reliable pre-booked taxi service to and from the airport. Exactly what you would like your experience to be while on transit.

The Breakfast was sumptuous and very good. The staff provided few items which are not on the table and was very helpful. The hotel arranged my dropping to airport with reasonable charges and it was very comfortable. Later date we just dropped in to have our dinner and the hotel arranged a cab to be dropped at the Howrah Railway Station.

Everything went well except that the Cab arranged by the Hotel charged extra amount in the pretext of parking charges etc., at the station.

Best place I have stayed in India. Great view from our room. Wonderful breakfast and food. Gym was good. Staff were very helpful.

There was a small fuss when I asked for a door card for my wife and I. They didn't want to give 2 for one room but if I went to Gym the power would go off on my wife in our room without 2. The manager kindly allowed it. No majors, just a minor issue and reason prevailed.

Room was very clean, breakfast was excellent value, staff were helpful - especially the lady who checked me in was really helpful.

Given that the hotel is located far from town, I would have expected concierge / guards to arrange for taxis - as I had experienced with Holiday Inn Express in Bangkok & Singapore. However, they let me down. Neither were the hotel cars available the evening I arrived. So I had to go out of the hotel looking for taxis on my own....

I was overcharged from my card though the amount was indicated in the voucher . When I asked the staff the answer he gave me was the rate printed in the voucher is of single occupancy though I booked it for double occupancy . Second day again I extended my stay and I got a call from reception about paymet on which I said I will pay once I am down by 2 to my surprise my card was swiped at 1:40 without even taking my approval I am though the voucher says I have to pay at hotel . Overall stay was excellent . Priyanka at front office was exceptional and very helpful
